Jams and sauces in jars and bottles will not make it through, nor will peanut butter, nor will sauces and condiments, even in tiny packets. (Unless you put the packets into your 3-1-1 baggie, that is.) Solid snack foods will go through, though really large chunks of things like fudge or vacuum packed coffee will be hard to see through on the x-ray, and will cause the bag to be opened and swabbed for explosives.
Guess I will have to rethink buying Kona coffee.

He wanted it to "do something" It won't do ANYTHING unless it's connected to a laptop which of course he would not ALLOW me to touch. IDIOT kept saying "I never saw one of the these before" So after calling over his supervisor I was FINALLY allowed to take the thing with me. Walked in the FIRST giftshop past security and what do they sell? Yes, those keypads. I nearly bought one to SHOW the IDIOTS!

The story reminds me of when I first bought a digital camera and airport security didn't really want to let me through with it. I think because I had a slightly different design - the camera was really slender and had a lens that slid open (instead of extending) on the top left of the body. He didn't believe it was a camera
