We were at the MK yesterday morning and rode the Haunted Mansion early (about 930 or 10). At the scene where you are 'falling' backwards out of the attic, just prior to the grave yard scene, I noticed it was unusually bright -- a door was open to the outside world just as you go down backwards. Two long black curtains were moving in the breeze. Really breaks the magic since at this point you are supposed to be outside at night.

Anyone else have something like that happen on a ride at WDW?

How about going down the big hill at SplMtn when the water is turned off? That happened to us on our last trip. It just isnt the same...

We were on Peter Pan's Flight once and a door to the outside was open, letting in a bunch of light. Pretty cool for me, who has always wondered what it looked like with more light, but not so cool for someone who was on for the first time.

We had this at the Haunted Mansion in December, in the scene where the musical instruments are hanging from the ceiling (maybe also the woman's head in the ball, can't quite remember what else was in that scene). The door behind us was open and the curtains were blowing around and a lot of light was coming in, totally ruining that scene! Yet the first time we did that ride earlier that day everything was fine.

I've heard people saying that several things on Splash Mountain have not been working for awhile now. Can anyone tell me what these are? I noticed one turtle floating on his back on the water jet in December. I can't remember if there were supposed to be more "floaters" in that scene or not?? We don't take a lot of Disney trips so it's hard to remember what is supposed to be in certain scenes of rides.

I've been on TTA several times when Space Mountain is broken, and you go through it with all the lights on. It's really weird to see it like that.

Just last week Jungle Cruise was stopped for a short time, I don't know why, but even the fast pass line was not moving. When it started up again they didn't fully load our boat and hurried us off. Then it just seemed to be going to fast and even the boat captain was talking way to fast, not enough time to get all his words out. I think they were trying to get caught up or something. It didn't make sense because the lines weren't very long anyhow.

I think Splash Mountain is going to be going down for rehab pretty soon. It is only suppose to last a week though.

Once or twice I've gone on the TTA and the lights to Space Mountain were on. It's pretty cool to see that.

...or the lighted Exit signs...

I know they're required for safety reasons, but every once in a while riding the Haunted Mansion and small world looking around at all the details those Exit signs pop out from the fantasy world...

but i guess those singing kiddies need the Exit signs to know where to go when it's break time... :rotfl2:

Not on a ride, but still a "buzzkill", this happened back in the 80's when I was at WDW with my high school band as part of Magic Music Days.

We were backstage, getting lined up for the parade, and I happened to look over and see one of the 7 dwarves (Grumpy, I think) sitting on a curb with his head off, smoking a cigarette. Needless to say, didn't look right at all :)

Hilarious!! :rotfl2: It figures that Grumpy would be a smoker!

When we were at MK in Dec and rode HM, several of our first rides the music/soundtrack was messed up. The narrorator cut in and out, and all though I knew the script it still wasn't as magical and I hate to think that someone was on thier first trip thru HM and didn't get the full effect. I thought it was our Doombuggy but it happened several times throughout the trip, and finally on our last ride a few days later it was fixed!

I've noticed the jumping fish in couple of fishing scenes weren't working. There is supposed to be a shadow of Brier Rabbit walking away from the Brier patch that doesn't always work.

When we were at MK in Jan and rode Haunted Mansion, the music/soundtrack was messed up. No music in the grave-yard really hurt the fun of this ride.
