Well I got back from DLP yesterday and had a fab time. I am absolutely shattered though as we were on the go for 12 hours a day!

My girls are 10 and 6. We went to see "Honey I shrunk the Audience" and my girls came out completely traumatised!!!:scared1: I think it was too realistic for them. My 6 year old climbed on my lap and hid, but most surprising was my 10 year old. She totally freaked out when the cat/tiger head leapt out of the screen and burst into tears and closed her eyes.

Another ride my 10 year old hated was Phanton Manor, even though I talked to her all the way through it saying how corny it was! Yet my 6 year old thought it was fine.

I braved Crushs coaster and must admit to being absolutely terrified all the way round. I have never been so relieved to see daylight near the end of the ride!!! lol

How about you? What freaked your kids out that you weren't expecting?

My 10 and 8 year old also hated 'Honey I shrunk the audience' despite them not wearing the 3d glasses. I love it and after having to walk out with them last year I thought not having the 3d effect would mean it is OK. They walked out together this time and waited just outside for me. Their 5 year old sister didn't mind it , she also didn't wear glasses.

I surprised myself by absolutely hating 'Star tours' I felt so sick!! but was fine on all the roller coasters.

Welcome back :goodvibes and glad you had a great time!

My DDs all hate HISTA and on the very rare occasion we may do it refuse to wear their 3D glasses, even my eldest who is now 16!! :rotfl2:

My youngest DS won't wear glasses in HISTA, he did the first time and wasn't fussed on the effects.

DS was scared in Snow White ride in the forest, that really surprised me as he'd done PM with no problems.

Armageddon totally freaked him out I missed most of the show trying to placate him, he really was petrified and trying to find an exit door. We haven't been back in since.

Welcome back BTW, and how was the flight/airport after ? I'm looking forward to a trippie. :)

How did your Kids like Snow White, Pinocchio and Peter Pan? Some Kids find these 3 harder than POTC and Phantom Manor.

By the way how were the crowds this week?

My then 10 years old son (it was 1996) hated Star Tours.
I refuse to go and see HISTA as i HATE the mices running up your legs.
My youngest didnt like Space Mountain but he was Ok-ish on Crush.

My kids were fine with snow white, peter pan and pinocchio; although the bit in snow white where the queen turned round and she had turned into a witch made my 10 year old jump.

We liked thunder mountain but didn't do tower of terror or space mountain. Both the kids were too short for Indiana jones too.

The crowds weren't as bad as I was expecting. The longest we queued was for Thunder mountain and that was about 35 minutes at 10am.

Looking on the information boards during the day there didn't appear to be any big queues. Peter Pan was busy and seemed to be constantly 30 minutes and Thunder mountain was about 45 minutes. Pirates of the Caribbean we queued for 5-10 minutes most of the time. Buzz we got fast passes for twice and then queued twice more for about ten minutes as that was my dd's favourite rides along with POTC.

We did fantasyland during EMH and got straight on most things.

PS - Jill, the airport was fine. The only stress I had was the fact that RS Transports were 10 minutes late on the way back and I was freaking out about missing the plane as the VEA bus had also just left!! I will try and do a trip report at some point, although I have no idea how to upload photo's!!

My youngest (4 years) always crys on Thunder Mountain, but wants to ride it at the same time.

Don't think it's the speed, as she's previously been on a fast mini coaster that frightens me! Think it's a combination of the noise, darkness, and a belief that she might fall out into the water that upsets her!

Bless her :lovestruc

I hated Star Tours with a passion- Made me feel very ill....

And Robert really didn't like the laughing skeleton on Phantom Manor... That freaked him out a bit!!

I wanted to cry when i got off the Eurostar and heard the "Just like we dreamed it" song.

I cry at every parade and especially at the Wishes fireworks - I sobbed like a baby, It's Julie Andrews' voice that made it worse...

Rememeber, dreams come true.

We didn't really have many tears around the park with DS (2). He didn't like Peter Pan as it was too dark and I have to agree with him, going through the London scene you could barely make anything out, possibly in need of refurb. We got in the Snow White queue line and he decided it was too scary so we left, same for Pirates. We thought Pinnochio would have been scary for him but we did this several times. Alice's Labrynth he was getting sick before we reached the end but no tears but I was sick too and couldn't wait to get out. Didn't take him on PM or HISTA as thought it would have been too much for him.

We only got tears after we got home, we have the Disneyland Paris DVD and at the end they all come on and say goodbye, well the bottom lip came out and he just burst out crying and was inconsolable. Now and again we still get a "Josh just go back to hotel room" from him.

My 6 year old daughter also cried all the way back through Disney Village to the hotel to go home. I don't think she realised that we just picked up suitcases up and that was it, I reckon she thought we were chilling in the hotel and disney village for a bit longer.

At least it showed she enjoyed herself though.;)

I have no kids, but I have a mom

She's scared to death by Honey ISTA, has been one time on BTMRR and nearly died because of fear and will never ever go on anything that's any wilder than POTC.
*sigh*
