My all time pet pronunciation peeve is for the word, "often". I cringe whenever someone is about to use it, because I just know they are going to pronounce the "T".....
some amusing ones down here in the south are Rockweilers and OldTimers disease...
My childhood friend's father used to say "ast" instead of "ask". That was about 35 years ago, and I still remember it..
It drives me crazy when someone grabs on to a phrase and peppers it constantly into their conversation. "You know what I mean?" or "You know what I'm sayin'?" come to mind. I can't listen to someone very long if they are going to keep saying the same thing over and over and over....How do people start doing this???
