Good afternoon!!

We are staying at BCV for the first time this November, and wanted some tips from you veterans on things we should not miss while we are there. Where are your favorite places to eat, what are "extras" do to for fun, etc.

TIA!! :wizard:

Use Stormalong Bay, definitely.

Ice cream @ Beaches n Cream - I recommend the No Way Jose if you like peanut butter & chocolate.

Do the campfire/movie on the beach if you have a free evening.

A second vote for Beaches and Cream!

Also, walk over to the Boardwalk and rent a surrey for your entire party (they have 2, 4, or 6 person surreys). You can rent them for 30 minutes which is usually enough time to make it around the lake twice. It's a lot of fun!

If you can get the reservation, take the Illuminations Cruise. They leave from the Yacht Club. You have a guide who pilots the boat and you first go down by the Studios, then back and park just in front of the bridge between France and England in EPCOT. You have a front row seat for Illuminations. We went a year ago in November and it was a little chilly. The guide had blankets and treats for all of us. Pricey, but fun. The boat holds 10 people.

I LOVE the movies on the beach! And there's some pretty good fast food at BC Marketplace-the coconut macaroon bars, carrot cake, roast beef and brie sandwiches, made to order salads, made to order yogurt with fruit and granola (if you like that), and Gelato. Actually, most everything!

If you're there in November when they are decorating the lobby, keep an eye out for the free samples of gingerbread that they give away!

Take time to walk by the canal and see the turtles and other creatures.

In the Marketplace there is something called the Rip Tide salad. It is made to order and includes grilled chicken. I think it's about $8.99 but is HUGE you can easily use it to feed 2 people for a nice lunch. Then have the mango gelato for dessert. I am salivating just thinking about it.

Thank you for this tip! We will be staying at BCV for the first time and I haven't checked much on the food offerings. This sounds delish :goodvibes

In the morning, it's nice to chill in the Solarium across from the Marketplace with a cup of coffee...or hot chocolate in my case. :)

We've stayed at BC more than any other resort and while we don't own at BCV (yet!) it does feel like home. When it's warm enough for swimming, we love to take a swim midday for a couple of hours. Then we kind of watch Beaches & Cream for the lunch crowd to thin out (by 2:30-3:00 usually). At this point we run back to our rooms for a quick change into our clothes, then have an ultra-late lunch or early dinner at B&C before heading back out to the parks.

Another thing we love is quiet breakfasts at the Captain's Grill at the Yacht Club - they have a breakfast buffet (plus a la carte ordering) and it's always peaceful and quick. And inexpensive compared to character buffets!

You're very welcome. The Marketplace has only a few items but I really like the sandwiches. You can also get a cup of chowder which was only a few bucks.

The Marketplace also has some good Gelato if you are in the market for a treat (and they do have the Tollhouse Cookie Ice Cream sandwiches in the store - they don't sell them in the parks anymore in the ice cream carts).

What we like about BCV is walking from the villa about 8:45 PM over to Epcot, finding a place by the bridge over to France, watching Illuminations and being back in bed by 9:30PM.

Beaches and Cream is great, but get there when everyone else isn't there. Like early afternoon. DO NOT TRY TO GET ICE CREAM AT BEACHES AND CREAM RIGHT AFTER ILLUMINATIONS. Mob scene. Plus, if you are on the dining plan, it is considered a table service, not counter service.

And try the Dolphin dining areas. It used to be Tubbi's (I think it has a new name) and it also has good ice cream.
