Do not assume, when you have changed office buildings that the shelf in the bathroom stall is the same width as the one in the old building...

iPhone, let me introduce you to the new toilets!

Ugghhh! Tried drying it out in a container of rice and it was working for a couple of days, but now my home button will not work. I am 2 months from when I can upgrade. Grumble, grumble, grumble!

I am so sorry. I had a scary experience this week too. On of the guys at work was playing with some of my apps on my iphone. He doesn't have one and was trying to light the lighter by flicking it and thru it across the floor. Both of our eyes about popped out of our heads. Thanks goodness everything seems to be in working order But was scary. So I know how you feel.

My parents got me a wallet that has a pocket for a cell phone in front secured by a strap with a magnet.

I thought it was cool until I tried to use my iphone and it had this scrambled page look before it went blank. The apple ATT guy rebooted it for me and told me to keep it away from the magnet! :scared1:

I'm sorry to hear that. Give it a day or two to dry out. I've read that many poeple got them to work after a few days drying out. Try placing it in a bag of rice to absorb any moisture.

Mine went through a complete wash cycle last night. After drying out today, it powers up with the Apple logo but nothing else. I think mine was worse than your quick drop into the water, it would be worth a try to let it dry.

I've been in contact with AT&T today. While my contract is 14 months old, you now have to have your phone 18 months before getting a discount rate on a new one. I'm looking at $299 to replace my previous 3G or to upgrade, 399 for the new 3GS. OUCH!

Ewww. So Sorry about the IPhone.

Please tell me the phone swim was pre-use or post flush!

Thankfully it was pre-use!

For what it is worth, putting it in a container of rice worked well and got it up and running the next day. It worked fine for 2 days (the screen even seemed to be drying out) and then the home button just went kaput! Oh well, back to my original iPhone until I am ready for an upgrade.

Well at least it's only two months instead of a year. I'm really sorry that happened though
