First of all, we're having a great time here at the fort - we're here until 8/15. Anyway, we've encountered a few things that no one has mentioned. First and foremost among those is that the cabin comes stocked with special guests. Take, for example, last night around 11:00. I went into the bathroom only to find that someone had gotten there first. A large green tree frog was swimming in my toilet.

Luckily the horticulturalist came pretty soon and got rid of the frog for me. You couldn't have paid me to touch that thing!:rotfl:

I'll write more later.

Glad you're having a great time! Maybe the frog was a prince in disguise, you are at WDW after all!
We saw lots of little critters by our cabin, but I think a frog in the toilet would definately startle me a little bit! I guess the horticulturalist is on call 24 hrs. a day :)

Tree Frog in the toilet !! Oh man are you lucky ! How cool is that !! :thumbsup2
Hava great time !

When I go next year I am complaining if I don't get a tree frog.:rotfl:

I've heard Disney is going to start charging for the "magic tree frog in your toilet" service in 2010....

...or maybe it's a special promotion to celebrate the upcoming release of "The Frog Prince"! :rotfl:

Greqt!!:cool1:

A lot of resorts charge extra for the ability to interact with teh native creatures. At FW it's included!!:woohoo::yay:

3 thoughts...

1) I hope you took a picture.

2) Luckily you did not go in the dark. You would have peed yourself!

3) :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

Maybe the frog was waiting for you to drop a log?

I saw that frog last week on msgus's site...she finally went home after staying there all summer so he needed a new home...I guess you didn't get the memo....

Bad gussy....

Just imagine if you didnt turn the light on and just sat down.. boy that would have been a surprise for either you the frog or both!! LOL

WOW! That is too funny! :rotfl: I'm guessing you found some other critters in your cabin as well?? Its always great excitement to find something you don't expect in your room, isn't it??

I do have pictures of the frog, and I'll post them when I get back home. As for some of the other things that no one told us:

1) Age restrictions for driving a golf cart don't really apply - I saw a seven year old driving around. No skin off my back, but I did a double take.

2) The cabin (at least our cabin) tend to be on a slant. I mean a big slant. Like we can drop a ball and it quickly rolls to the other side. It makes getting out of bed interesting...but fun!

But seriously, we've had a ball thus far. My wife and I are going to post a full trip report to the main trip report board when we get back. We've taken a ton of pictures and video!

Wow..! The wife and I are still cracking up.:lmao:

About the bait idea... Could hook a 4lb large mouth around these parts.:cool1:

Years of tent and RV camping at the fort and no frogs. Maybe this year!:worship:

Even with the wildlife, Disney is fun. You actually got to enjoy Mr. Toad's Wild Ride:thumbsup2

We have actually caught a 8 lb'er (me) AND a 9 lb'er (wife) at Disney ! :thumbsup2

:lmao: That is funny. Personally I think I would have just scooped the frog out and put him outside, but I grew up in Florida so critters are a regular part of life. Now if it had been a snake...:scared1:
