Things I Learned on Last Trip (Quick)

The family ahead of us asked, but the CMs refused their request to get MEPs. Citing that once they've redeemed the FP they can't do anything about it.

That's awful. We had redeemed ours already and were close to getting on Space when the ride broke down, and they gave everyone in our area of the line any-ride-except-PPF MEPs (not just FP rides!). They just scanned everyone's ticket on their way out of the line.

I guess I'm one of the few that is left completely unimpressed with GotG. Really? It just looks like they pasted over the ToT stuff.

Just got back this afternoon from a 6 day trip to the park. Thought I would post a few things I found interesting over this 6 day stretch No big details, caught a nasty cold the last few days so kinda worn out!

1) Harbor side security entry has improved greatly since our last trip (Nov 16). Seems like each morning all posts were open, plus several mornings they opened another checkpoint on the far right (facing entry) that does not appear to be a permanent station. We always entered on the far right, caught the opening of this station on a couple mornings that really sped things up.

2) Maxpass is awesome! The ability to check for new passes while eating, standing in line, walking around REALLY helped. We experienced several busy days, family commented that it really did not stop us from riding a lot. Also, the multiple experiences passes are a treat when they pop up. At one point we had five 3 person multiple experience passes last night. Combined with other fastpasses we almost had a hard time using them up before park close.

3) Halloween was super fun. We did not think the treat trails would be worth it, but after reading the Halloween thread about starting in Frontierland at Golden Horseshoe/Zocalo we were hooked. Only completed two more in the new area behind Big Thunder, but four total was enough. No lines at any of them.

4) First time riding Guardians. New favorite ride in the park

What is the "multiple experience pass"?

The "multiple experience pass" is a fastpass, but for any ride that has a fastpass. Say you got a fastpass for Indy, but during the return time the ride is down for whatever reason. If you hadn't redeemed the FP for Indy yet the FP automatically becomes a multiple experience pass. That pass can be used at anytime on any ride that has a fastpass. So instead of Indy you can go use it on Space Mountain.

Have you ridden it? The outside decor is not the wow for me. The ride itself is changed and a much more thrilling adventure.

Oh brother, I've had that before and didn't realize what it was called I guess. In January we got it for RSR when it broke down and we got one when we ran out of time to go on Peter Pan as part of the Holiday Tour in 2012. Thank you for clearing this up for me!

Re: my MEP in January I will say this--RSR broke down so many times. We were thwarted multiple times but only once when we were standing in line. What I found was that the CMs first tell everyone that they will try to have it up asap. Then after five or 10 minutes it becomes a "We don't know how long it will be down so you may want to leave the ride". People trickle out of line, you move up and I think it was at about 25 minutes that we received our MEP. I spoke to some other people later that day about it and they were able to get the same deal. We had to stick it out because it was our last day and my nephew hadn't ridden it yet and I was adamant that he get to. So, if it's an important ride to you and you're running out of time, you may want to be stubborn with it and see what happens.
