Things I definitely will NOT do on my next WDW trip...

DF & I will NOT fail on our pre-Disney diet!

I forgot to add....
I will not pass up buying the $11.99 mug even though I don't use them at the resorts. I love them at home!

this is sooo true !!
love that alice mug from the GF !!

I will not take dramamine for motion sickness before going to the parks ever again- Me, dh, dd 11, and brother in law 13 walked around MGM like zombies after taking the supposed non drowsy kind.

I will not ride Stitch or Pirates of the Carribian or see the coutry bear jamboree (or whatever it is called at MGM).

I will not forget to schedule down time at the resort.

I will not forget to ask them to go a little light on the alcohol when ordering a drink. It seems they put way more alcohol in drinks in Florida than they do in my area. I had the drink in the pineapple at Ohana's and had to have them dilute it some because it was so strong. They put in enough more pineapple juice to make 2 drinks out of the one and it was still strong. (to me anyway, I'm a wimp)

Hey Disneynewbee, next time you go to 'Ohana, get a mai tai. I don't like a heavy alcohol taste and I couldn't even taste it in this. It was yummy!

Thanks I'll have to try that. I like to have drinks but found them to just be way too strong for me at Disney. I'll give the mai tai a try.

I will not take the bus back to CSR, walk to my room, then realize we drove the rental car that day... :rolleyes2 - I still can't believe we did that.

I will not forget to take the time to just enjoy the view, the castle, the beautiful flowers everywhere......

ok- I will not start crying when I see all the characters on the bus.
I will not let dh buy a kitchen sink in beaches and cream which we can never eat. I will not wake up at 4am. I will not go in august/too hot or christmas/too cold. I will not not let cms take loadsof pictures.
I will get one of those lovely looking pastries in epcot, I will try to get a decent view of the fireworks.

Not go to all of the resorts to look at holiday decorations. After watching the special on Food Network & Travel Channel we were excited to see all of the different resorts' decorations. Well, it was nice but nothing we would do again.

I know I'll be criticized for this but next time I will not rely on info passed along from only one Disney employee. I'm tired of getting burned.

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!"

1. I will NOT visit any non-Disney parks.

2. I will NOT drive to FL. Next time I will fly.

3. I wll NOT watch the MK parades. I do adore those parades, but I've seen them many times now and will enjoy riding while parades are running next time.

4. I will NOT skip BTMRR. Last trip we had only one day at MK. Trying to cram in all our favorites, BTMRR was the only e-ticket we had to miss.

5. I will NOT fail to do a character meal.

I will not let my DH leave without buying the monorail model.

Every year he has talked about getting one, every year at WDW he talks himself out of getting it, and every Christmas he covets the one his parents have under their tree.

It has been 5 years! He is going to get the darn monorail!

DO YOU HEAR ME JOSH? YOU ARE GETTING THE MONORAIL THIS YEAR!

TY for the laugh....i understand :rotfl2:

I love that one, that's SO something we'd do. :rotfl2:

I haven't read all of the posts so I hope I'm not repeating.

1) I will not plan a character meal dinner after being in the car for 10 to 12 hours that day.

2) I will not plan so many sit down dinners that I am sick of eating.

That's all!

Nice posts! Here are mine:

I WILL take notes after each trip on what I will do differently the next trip (I started this last year). Here are my notes for this upcoming trip:

Notes for Next Walt Disney World Trip
--------------------------------------
1. Spend 10-12 days at WDW with scheduled 1-3 day rest periods throughout that timeframe where we do not visit a park, but instead lay by the pool, sleep, and relax.

2. Schedule a day or two off of work when we come back to rest and recuperate. :)

3. Go slow and enjoy each moment. Some of our most memorable moments at WDW have come at unexpected times. Example: In 2002 we were caught in a HUGE downpour while at Epcot. We had no rain ponchos. Our two young sons were with us. It went on for a long time. The park pretty much cleared out. We stood under a canopy near that African-themed bus over by the entrance to Germany. The rain kept coming down. We finally decided to take off our shoes and just walk through the rain and the water. By this time it was a foot deep in places. It was a very magical experience. The kids, my wife, and I were all kids on that day and the park was so quiet and peaceful because everyone else had run for cover. Over the years we have had so many of those magical experiences that often come from unexpected sources and at unexpected times. :)

I love the rain story! This summer at MK we had a long downpour and my best memories of that trip are of us running around, shoes off, water up to our knees in a couple of places! I will never forget that! pixiedust:

I will not say "hurry up" 1,200 times a day.

I will not get mad at my family for wanting to go back to the hotel to "watch" the super bowl when it is extra evening hours at the Magic Kingdom. DH had a good reason, but the kids!?!
