Things for couples to do at WDW

I've been to WDW so many times, heck even worked there on the CP, but I have always been with my disney loving family- parents/sisters/cousins etc.

Hubby was never interested, still isn't in love with the idea, but is ready for a vacation and going because he knows it will make me happy and I think he secretly knows he will have a good time (he's been once, but with 7 other members of my family and it was 10 years ago and quite a circus with that many of us!)

so i can't wait to do our 'alone' trip. 4.75 days worth, staying at the CBR.

So what are the not to be missed, fun things to do as a couple at WDW? I've always been in a large group of 6-10 family members where everything takes forever just because of the size of the group!

I find everything so fun at WDW, I can't think of ONE thing except look thru all the restaurants and find a nice one you might like to go to. (I liked Cinderella's Royal Table but it is not on everyone's best place list!).

Walk the trails at AK. Ride TOT at MGM. Visit ALL the countries in Epcot. Ride Teacups at MK. HAVE LOTS OF FUN JUST HOLDING HANDS AND LOOKING AT EVERYONE ELSE HAVING FUN! That's my advice!

Alone trips with just DH and I are the best ever. We have one coming up in December. I don't know where you are staying but, When we stay at the Poly we like to stroll along the beach at night and relax. Go to dinner where ever you want. Go to Jelly Rolls for a fun night. That's our favorite, or Adventurers Club or the Comedy Club. We love to do those things when we're alone. You just can't do those things unless your with all adults. We've also taken the Illuminations cruise by ourselves too. We had a great time. We were celebrating an anniversary.
It's a totally different trip when it's just DH and I. Just do what you feel like doing when ever you want. WOOHOO!!!

On our recent trip, we checked the kids in at the Neverland Club. Then, we went out for a nice dinner followed by Cirque du Soleil. I would highly recommend Cirque. It's entertaining and enchanting. It made for a great "couples" night.

We are early 50's and have been to Disney with our kids a bunch. While these times are memorable, busy and fun filled, Disney WITHOUT kids is AWESOME!!! We do whatever we want, whenever we want. We do our favorite rides, but you don't have to do what "others" want to get in.

We have nice dinners, we usually have been renting points from DVC owners and LOVE staying in the one bedroom villas. Not that we use the kitchenette all that much, but we love the roominess, the king sized bed and the jacuzzi and the DVC pools are usually much quieter and private.

We even do "odd" things like going to movies (which we don't have much time for here), and if we want, two in a row!!! Unheard of with our schedule!!! We love walking around Downtown Disney shopping and just taking in the atmosphere. We of course go to the parks, our favorite is going when the Food and Wine Festival is going on. We love walking around Epcot at night. Having stayed at quite a few deluxes, we have kind of settled on the Boardwalk Villa's as our favorite. We also like MNNSHP.....fun.

When it's just DH and myself, we talk about where we want to eat, I make reservations in advance, just so we're sure we have someplace to eat each day and from there follow a very loose schedule. I kind of figure out which would be the best days to go to what park, but we really make final decisions on that when we're there. In May we changed ADR's several times with no problems, but like I said, at least we did have 2 sit downs a day reserved in advance, just to be sure we had nice sit down meals for sure.

Get your meal reservations in, plan a loose schedule, and go with the flow when you get there. You'll have a great time!!!

Dinner at California grill followed by watching Wishes from the observation deck.

Watching Wishes on the beach at the Poly from a swing.

Carriage ride at Port Orleans.

Find a special kissing spot at your resort & give each other a smooch as you leave in the morning & come back at night.

Another vote for Jellyrolls....dinner at the Flying Fish followed by a night singing along with the piano men.

I just wanted to say my DH is the same way. We are taking our first trip alone August 17-21 and are staying at CBR also. He is starting to get excited because this is our first time we can actually ride together without child swap and we get to do Everest. They only things we have planned so far is ADR's other than that I look forward to ideas also.

We are staying at CBR, plan to use the hammocks and stroll the beach and enjoy the pool. Definitely will be spending lots of time strolling world showcase, enjoying some drinks etc.

have ADRs so far for Chefs de France dinner (a first for me), LTT dinner (a favorite), Crystal Palace breakfast, Sci Fi dinner (we are both sci fi geeks!), and Ohana dinner (first for me and we love meat!) and I timed our Ohana dinner so that we can see WISHES from the beach afterwards. Hubby has only eaten at Sci Fi. I've done CG many times before, but always with family or coworkers. I figured I would try somewhere new instead and somewhere that didn't cost 2 TS meals.

If you can get in the Segway Around the World Tour at EPCOT was one of our highlights of our trip in March. We left the baby with her nanna and grandpa and had a fantastic time.

Tons to do.

Pleasure Island and Boardwalk have great nightlife.
I recommend Adventurer's Club at PI and Jellyrolls at Boardwalk.

Many romantic restuarants. Victoria and Albert's at GF, Bistro de Paris at EPCOT.

Golf/Spas/Boat rentals/Fishing to avoid the parks during the day.

It's easy to be adults.

But I'll bet he gets excited the first time he sees Mickey, I did.
