Things Disney Offers But Doesn't Advertise *Summary Added Oct 08*

we should stop with the button debate. the spirit of this thread has nothing to do with it and there are a countless number of posts and threads and threads ruined by posts because of it.

we know disney's policy, it's okay with it if you are and that's that.

please opt to ignore the small percentage of dis'ers who ruin and hijack threads for their own benefit and enjoyment rather than continue to debate in the hopes of convincing them otherwise which we all know won't happen.

debates are freely offered on the DIS without advertising, but not at WDW.

When my mom and I go to WDW in October it's going to be my mom's eight year of sobriety so we always have a little "birthday" celebration. I fully intend on making her wear that pin all day XD

What a wonderful achievement for your mom! Congratulations to her

Thank you so much! I've been sneaking around trying to plan a birthday for her and I think she's starting to get suspicious XD I made reservations for Victoria and Albert's because everyone was recommending it. I'm having a cake come out too but I don't know what we should do with the remaining pieces :rotfl: Give them to a lucky table I guess

Did you (or your family) send in digital pictures to be included? We have not ate there yet, but for our upcoming celebrations at CR, we were told to submit up to 5 pictures for each menu.

No one ever said anything to me about digital pictures when I made the reservation.

Hi everyone! Is there a summary somewhere that lista all of these wonderful ideas???

I have done the CR diver menu and diver and it was easy and a wonderful surprise for my family. thanks to Debbi!

One thin we always enjoy is spending a few hours exploring Fort Wilderness. Nice, quiet and relaxing. And yes you can relax in WDW!

In Mexico at Epcot, you can email a postcard back home with your picture. They have a few choices of postcards so don't forget the email addresses!

Where in Mexico is that at? I've been in the gift shop area by the restaurant and where the Three Cabelleros ride and never seen where you can do this. That sounds like something pretty neat...

Im not sure where in Mexico, but I know u can do this at the end of spaceship earth and at innoventions

That is EXACTLY where it is at! :thumbsup2

When you enter the pavilion, go down the ramp on your left. There is a small alcove to the left. That is the "room" where they have the Kidcot station. The video postcard machine is in there with the Kidcot station. (It will be on your left once you enter the little "room.")

The room is right before the entrance to the boat ride.

You can also do this at the exit for Mission Space. It's just across from the game, against the wall.

A lot of folks are interested in this thread and are posting "subbing" to subscribe. I'm sure most aren't aware, but there's another way to subscribe. Just above the first post on each page, there's a button titled "Thread Tools" (you'll need to be signed in). Click on "Thread Tools", and from the drop-down list that appears click on "Subscribe to this Thread", and you're done.

If you're ever curious whether there are any unread messages in threads you've subscribed to, click on "User CP" on the left side of the menu bar at the top of every page.

Hope this helps!

For several of us who subscribe to this and other threads and get alerts when there's a new post, it's annoying to go to a thread with great anticipation of what a fellow DISer contributed to the discussion, only to see a new post that just says "subscribing."

I hope I didn't quote GrillMouster too much there...I tried to cut it down, but I suppose by even posting this, I am contributing to the thread being so long.

My apologies....

This has been a great thread to read. So much I did not know about. Looking forward to my Dec. trip even more now!
