Things Disney Offers But Doesn't Advertise *Summary Added Oct 08*

Not sure if these have been mentioned yet...

This year I plan on taking my dad to Beaches & Cream for a "kitchen sink" sundae. I can't imagine the look on his face when he sees it!

Also, we love to stop in the Club Cool Station at Epcot (I think that's the name? It's a store filled with Coke products) We love to try the different flavors of soda from around the world...some are really good, others not so much (Beverly!). Best part is, it's free. :thumbsup2 Great way to cool off and get out of the hot sun for a few minutes.

We leave in 15 days! :cool1: :cool1: Myself and DS, (12) and DD (14) are going to get the kitchen sink on this trip! It's on our "to do" list!

We also love the Club Cool Station! Although I do miss the old "temporary" one that you had to walk through all the snow. The newer fancier store front style has lost some of it's charm to us. But we still love it! :)

Just exactly what is the kitchen sink. This is our first trip to disney and I would love to know.

I have never been to the Club Cool Station! That is great! Cant wait to check that out on our next trip.

Our family visited Walt Disney World several times before hearing about the Campfire Sing-Along with Chip & Dale & outdoor movie at the Fort Wilderness Campground. It is free and alot of fun. Here's a link with good information: www.buildabettermousetrip.com/activity-campfire.html

We plan to do the Nestle cookie baking thing at the Land Pavilion in Epcot this year.

I hear that the Adventurer's Club is Pleasure Island's most popular club but didn't really know what to expect until we found this info: http://allearsnet.com/btp/faq_adv.htm

Small children enjoy the ladybug releases in the morning at one of the Innoventions pavilions. See: www.buildabettermousetrip.com/activity-ladybugrelease.html

Raglan Road (restaurant in Downtown Disney) is getting a lot of good reviews but is still fairly new so there are those who might not know that they can hear live music after about 9PM without needing a Pleasure Island ticket.

There are some neat cruises for kids that we've never done but they sound great: http://allearsnet.com/btp/spcruise.htm

We LOVED the Adverturer's Club! Highly recommend it! My husband plans to spend hours there this trip.

Welcome! The Kitchen Sink is a "larger than life" sundae at Beaches n' Cream ice cream parlor at the Yacht/Beach Club. It has something like 10 scoops of ice cream, a whole can of whipp cream, oreo cookies, nuts, peanut sauce, a whole banana and so much more. The best part is is comes in a bowl that looks like a kitchen sink. I'm sorry I don't have any photos, but my family and I have enjoyed the kitchen sink many times. It is a fun ice cream sundae!

I don't have any pictures yet either but I have seen plenty on this board (as recently as last week). Do a search and I'm sure you'll see how amazing it looks. I know my ice-cream loving dad will appreciate it!

I love the kitchen sink. Its a lot of ice cream and flavors, but its just fun. The shut the lights off when the bring it out and make a big deal of it. The kids love it.

...and don't forget...the Nestle Toll Houe Cookie attraction has been removed form The Land...

RIP my dearly departed friend.... :(

Right now I'm racking my brain as to how I can fit a trip to Beaches & Cream into our November itinerary :rotfl2:

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but you can lounge on a beach chair and watch a movie on the Beach Club resort at night. We were fortunate to discover this as our pontoon was returning from our Illuminations cruise. Our driver said it was open to all and that they sometimes make smores there.
What a special treat it was to relax while our kids watched "Toy Story" and build sand castles! :goodvibes

Disclaimer--not my photo, this one is from the great people on the Yacht/Beach Club 2008 FAQ thread--I saw this last night and loved it! I'm planning to share one on our family trip next summer.

Sorry if this was already mentioned but this past June after having dinner at JIKO at AKL we were walking around the resort and found 2 CM's outside by the fenced areas where the animals are and they had night vision goggles and let you see the animals that come out in the dark. It was pretty neat.
