Things Disney Offers But Doesn't Advertise *Summary Added Oct 08*

I don't think this happen's anymore.

Who has done this...........I know one year we got there and had an early lunch.....does 'Paris' counterservice open at 9..........

we will be staying at Boardwalk so we will be coming in at that entrance......I would love to do this for our upcoming trip.....

thanks for any info. Pamela

Yes, you can still wake up Tinkerbell, as far as I know. At least, on our last trip you could.

Paris does NOT offer dining before WS opens. This has been a long-standing rumor, but as far as I know it is not true.

The WS opens at 11:30. There is a rope blocking the entrance from the IG.

That's just so wrong and too sad! :sad2:

Thx a mint Shellybelly72 - so wonderful to have it all in one post. :goodvibes

I went to Tamu Tamu just for that at AK during Christmas 2007 and the CM said they don't have floats anymore... :headache:

cheers,
:flower3:

A few years ago ice cream floats in Animal Kingdom came with a souveneir cup (a little plastic cup with Safari Mickey and a monkey painted on it) as well as a reusable spoon/straw with a little plasitc either Safari Mickey or Safari Pluto attached near the top of the straw. They were available at the painted bus kiosk in the Asian section of the park and at Tamu Tamu in the African region. About a year or two ago they stopped giving them out, and switched to a plain clear disposable "Solo" cup. I was sorely disappointed, because they got rid of the "magic", and new disposable cups are smaller than the cups they used to use, so I get less float for the same price.

Has anyone mentioned the lighting of the tiki torches at the Poly each night?

It's free and not advertised.....

If anyone wants to subscribe to this thread - you do not need to make a post saying this - Just go to Thread Tools on the top & select Subscribe to this Post - you can make your decision there of how you want to be notified of any new posts. This way we do not have half the thread announcing that someone is subscribing. Thanks!

Keep these coming- I have learned a few new things! :D

Not sure this is a secret...

What about Whispering Canyon Cafe? I didn't even find out about this restaurant until our last trip....

It's not the restaurant that's a secret.....it's what happens inside! I had no idea! :rotfl2:

OMG! I am so sorry! I wasn't getting any e-mail notifications that you guys had posted!

Do a thread search on here....that's how I found out!!!

I thought it was "just" a restaurant....OMG, it is so much more! We booked it last Spring Break, and I thought the kids were going to DIE they had so much fun!!!!!

Hey, here's something I'm not sure has been posted yet--what about the Campfire and Marshmallow roast they have at Fort Wilderness each night? I guess it is advertised, but only to the campers!

Heck, it's FREE and it's open to EVERYONE!

My family loved it and told me when i make ADR's to go there at least 2 times. The food is amazing and the suprises are worth every minute!!!:yay:

What does subscribing mean? Sorry is that's a dumb questions, but I'm relatively new to these boards and I'm learning something new everyday :confused3

Subscribing means you're becoming part of the discussion.
There are two ways to do it-- either post a response as you did, or go up to "thread tools" and hit "subscribe."

Now when you log on, you can go to "User CP" and see a list of the discussions you're part of. You can also receive e-mail notifications when someone else posts on one of those discussions. (I choose not to do that one-- too much email :) )
