THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT! A tale from 2 cities!! THE END! pg 32

Hey Ladies! :wave2: I know you are a mere two weeks away from your DL trip :cool1:, so I'll be checking back for an update!

Since MEK asked for an update here it is! Sorry about the lack of them life has been crazy in MI! This past week we had vacation bible school at our church which had my entire family working from 4-9 every night and then hitting the hay and trying to get geared up for the next day! I also found a job here and can't wait to start working! We go to Disneyland in two weeks and two weeks after that I start my Masters!!! Where has this summer gone?! But enough about our real life back to Disney!

After our lengthy safari it was time to head to the front for our breakfast ADR!

We passed a giraffe who wasn't taking up the entire road :thumbsup2

Passed some stores

and made it to our destination!

We were having breakfast at the Rainforest!

After we checked in I took a pic of the fishies

Dory how did you get in there?!

We were seated fairly quickly near this big guy

This guy was also hanging out by our table :lmao:

After a chat with the chef about what I could and couldn't eat I chose this for breakfast

Egg White Omelette - A little lighter fare, our egg white omelette is made with tomatoes, Swiss Cheese, spinach, and mushrooms. Served with fresh fruit and toast

Instead of toast I had the potatoes. This was very good! It would have been better with a Mimosa but they were out of champagne :sad2:

Mom chose

Breakfast of Bandits - Scrambled eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, served with breakfast potatoes

She enjoyed hers as well! As we ate we talked about the rest of our plans for the day. We had already conquered Animal Kingdom and all we had left to do were the trails in the countries. Unfortunately due to the EMH hours they weren't open yet and wouldn't be for a while. We had already planned another morning here so we decided maybe we should head somewhere else after Mom was done meeting with her boss. Her boss and her family were arriving this morning and we had arranged a meet up at the pool when they arrived. So after clearing the bill and saying no to the special Landry's card we headed out.

A couple of pics of the hotel when we got back

My favorite character from Finding Nemo!

We headed back to the room

After meeting with Mom's boss and her family we headed to DTD! We hadn't done much shopping yet!

I think we spent a good amount of money and having no pictures from the shops can't tell you what was bought on this day :rotfl: but this was the pic from the bus stop

We then headed here

Ah the Beach Club!

Wish I was right here this morning

Miss that pool!

and then to Epcot! We had big plans here!

The crowds weren't bad this afternoon

It was time. We were here. I was about to try one of these!

Cheers Queen!

It was very good!!!!

We sat at one of the metal tables alongside the wall and took in the area. It was a nice relaxing moment.

After I was done (drinks don't last long once I get them) we headed on our way.

It's been a while since this trip and I find myself going "Wow I took some nice shots!"

We stopped to see our purple friend Figment!

Before heading here for dinner

Our dinner was at the Garden Grill! This was a first time for us so we weren't sure what to expect. Mom started off with this

Basket of warm bread with maple butter.

That butter is amazing! It is worth going there for that alone!

Our first visitor was Chip

Followed by Mickey!

He looks so cute in overalls!

Finally these arrived for me

Yep those are gluten free dinner rolls

The rest of our food also came out

The one with the allergy pick in it was what I was allowed to eat.

Char-grilled Filet of Beef with Red Wine Butter Roasted All Natural Turkey Breast with Lemon Caper Sauce Sustainable Fish of the Day with Roasted Tomato and Pepper Compote Garden Fresh Vegetables Buttermilk Smashed Potatoes

I loved the fish and mom enjoyed the turkey. Neither of us had the roast beef. The mashed potatoes were also very good!

After eating we had this cutie come to our table!

then dessert

Yep gluten free cookies and brownies

Mom got this all to herself

Fresh Baked Harvest Fruit Cobbler with Vanilla Bean Whipped Cream

I am pretty sure it was blueberry. She enjoyed it but couldn't eat it all!

Last but not least we saw Dale

Throughout the meal our waiter was horrible. Our drinks were not refilled once but to be honest he was kept busy with the horrible family next to us. They were loud and obnoxious and the kids ran around throughout the entire dinner. Overall the food was decent but we won't be coming back here unless it's for the butter

After we settled the bill we headed to find a little fishie

Once we dried our tears from hearing the big blue world song we headed to spaceship earth

I never noticed in this scene before the guy in the middle is drifting off to sleep!

then back out to the Flower and Garden festival!

Where something on this list caught my eye!

Meet my precious!

The New Planet 3R Raspberry Ale!!! It was amazing and started my homage to drinks pictures

We just sat and chatted while I enjoyed this amazing beer! Finding good gluten free beer can be like finding a needle in a haystack and there are only three different types I really like including this one!

We also had to stop for our picture of the day!

Then I had to stalk Rafiki

And we headed out

That was the last picture from that day so I can only imagine we went back to the hotel room relaxed for a bit and hit the sack so we were rested for the next day!

:cool1: Yeah! Update! :cool1: I called that one right!

Congrats on the job and starting back to school in the fall! I am so looking forward to your DL trip!

Your are right - Your pictures are gorgeous! The skies are so incredibly blue!

I never thought about Rain Forrest for breakfast. It looks fantastic! Yum! Might have to check that out in October.

Thanks for the update.

Hey Girls!! I am back after a very long absence. I spent the last couple of hours reading your entire TR and once again, it's fantastic!!! Your pictures are so good hon, you do an amazing job!

I am so happy that you loved the GGS....and thanks for thinking of me!! I'll definitely be thinking of you on our next trip when I have one. There and Mexico...that holds a special place in my heart because we were all there together!

Can't believe Disneyland is right around the corner for you guys!! I can't wait for that TR!!!

Wow, looking at your pictures totally brings me back to the F&G festival! It feels like so long ago! I was totally in love with the food and wine booths they had set up this year. So much fun to walk around and snack and drink!

I've always been on the fence about trying GG, but that butter sounds so good!

No problem! I know it's one of your favorites! Awww :flower3:

It's crazy we still can't believe we are going!

I loved them too! Agreed my dad and I really took advantage of them on our last full day!

You need to it is so good!

So I am going to attempt to put a dent in this TR before we leave so I am going to do an update every other day! I know everyone is very anxious for our DL future TR so we need to get this one done so we can start on that one when we get back!

But first I wanted to show you what awesome thing my dad did yesterday! I am sure many of you have seen the Disney decorated Toms and shoes that people make online. Well they are super expensive so my dad and I got to talking and I finally convinced him to make me a pair! This is what he came up with

I am so excited to wear these on vacation! The HM ones also have HM tombstones on the back heel and on the side of one it says 999 happy haunts and on the other it says room for 1 more! I love HM and I am so excited to wear these! He did such an awesome job!

So anyway back to the TR!

We woke up early this morning to hit MK at rope drop! But first we had to fuel up!

This is what Mom had

I am pretty sure I just had another gluten free bagel or something along those lines.

When we got to MK we once again got a great spot for the show!

We were sitting on the round planter near the right side entrance. It was nice just relaxing and watching the show and having no one in front of us!

Once inside we were off!

Love this picture!

and this one!

The crowds weren't bad this morning

Once again we were stopped near the carousel

I believe we grabbed Little Mermaid fast passes and then headed here

I don't usually ride the carousel but this morning we saw this family headed on so I had to ride it!

My favorite tank top!

On the carousel you can see Lady Tremaine behind me!

The stepsisters were hilarious coaching their horses and creating chaos on the carousel!

Looks like a rockstar pose!

Next they headed to their meet and greet spot with kids

They asked me if my shirt made of glass hurt and said it wouldn't be a good idea to wear pants made from glass!

Next we headed to the 100 acre wood! We took a picture of this computer because it will be used with the new magic bands it had a list as to what someone may be celebrating on it

I always love this ride and can't wait to try DL's version!

Ah to live the life of a Disney bird

Hold on Piglet!

Getting close Pooh!

Piglet is too cute in this picture!

I was very pleased with my ride pictures! As we were trying to figure out where to go next we ran in to these two!

It was time to defeat the evil Emperor Zurg!

Then we headed to Monstropolis we had heard they were changing it up a bit for the new movie so we had to check it out!

For the new movie Buddy Boyle had to practice his funny faces for his comedy class final. He of course couldn't make any of the faces other people made and the people in our group didn't make that great of faces :confused3 I think it would be better with a group who were into participating!

Dopey is too cute!

It was time for our Little Mermaid ride!

The mural along the ride line is so pretty!

Under the Sea!!!

Oh that blowfish blow!

After our ride we headed back out and walked around to the Tomorrowland side

The perfect spot for my morning coffee!

and walked right out of the park!

and rode the monorail to the Poly!

For lunch I was having this

A spicy shrimp roll with seaweed salad! This was so good! The carrots and celery were Mom's as was this

Lucky girl she can actually eat this stuff!

My dessert

We headed out to the beach after to relax and take a break!

Ahh wouldn't it be nice to lay out here today!

I decided this was the perfect time for a drink!

A skinny girl coconut mojito!!! It was sooooo good! I absolutely love anything with coconut!

A peak at the pool

Love this picture!

Our next stop

I wanted to stop at the GF to take a look inside here

I had found some amazing soap and bath fizzies at the one in DTD so I wanted to stop here and see what I could find!

I ended up buying a stain remover bar of soap (which does amazing work) and some canyon exfoliating soap (another amazing thing!). We decided to explore more of the resort.

We saw the Teddy Bear Lady. Mom actually thought she looked like a mannequin with how still she was sitting!

Things I wish I could eat!

Their counter service area is beautiful!

I do want to stay here but chose one night at the Boardwalk in November instead :cloud9:

We decided to take the boat back to the MK

View of the construction

Once we got back inside the MK where were we headed?

You will find out next!

Love MK opening. It just sets the right tone for the day. And the characters walking amongst the crowd is an added bonus!

Poly looks lovely, as usual. So relaxing there! Glad to get a good review on the sushi; I've been a bit wary of trying it.
