They're making me crazy w/Disney $$

So I go to pick up some Disney dollars today at our local Disney store. First they tell me that they don't have any $50's. Well okay I can live with that. Then I'm told that they don't have any for the 50th anniversary, the only ones they have are from 2000!! So I call another store and I get the same story. Call a 3rd store, which isn't that close, they have the 50th anniversary ones but still no $50's.

Can anyone tell me why the stores don't have $50's or the new ones?

From what I've read, they (at least the new ones) only come in denominations of 1, 5, and 10. Period. I bought $400 worth on May 6 for my May 8 trip. The Disney Store manager brought his entire box out of the back room and put it on the check out counter. He opened the box right in front of my eyes, and all that was in there were sealed packs of 1s, 5s, and 10s. He did not seem surprised by this. I'm sure he had better things to do than count out 40 bills for me (he actually had to do more because I still wanted a few 5s and 1s); if there were 50s I'm sure he would have been delighted to give me 8 of them and call it a day.

We got two 50th Anniversary $5's last month but since then we've only been able to get old-style $1's, $5's, and $10's. They never have anything larger and they keep saying they're getting new one's "soon".

I think the $50 is only available at the parks. Is that correct? We only have $1, $5, and $10 in the store. We got the new $1 & $10 and have sold out of them.

I know that $50's have been issued, they have Mickey on them. Maybe they just have them in the parks????

We bought ONE $50 special annv. Disney Dollar at Animal Kingdom's Guest relations. Told my husband he better only buy one since he doesn't intend to use it. Such a collector rat! The guest relations CM broke open a new batch of $50's for us to purchase one.

So, for a couple of months when people wanted to buy Disney dollars, they were told that the stores were out of stock and waiting to get the new anniversary ones. So the anniversary ones come and are sold out and now they have all kinds of old ones that they could have sold when we wanted them?

I know the DD situation has been frustrating, but remember not to blame the Disney Stores- they can't order them in, they are just randomly sent to them. Besides, I am very surprised that they still carry DD$ at all, considering they are not even owned by Disney anymore- the stores receive no benefit from them.

Do any of you know the number to call at Disney where you can order the money and they fedex it to you? I know you can do it since I did call 2 months ago and got the Disney Dollars in 3 days. I am sure they would have the anniversary edition dollars. I just can't find the number I called. Would you please post it if you know it? Many thanks.
