I LOVE that show! It can cheer me up when I'm having the worst day. My favourite is Aaden, I think he is just adorable. I haven't read the book yet, but I got seasons 1 and 2 for Christmas and they're great. Oh my gosh, their house is massive! I can't believe how big the playroom in the basement is. It's beautiful though, I love the property with the barn and everything.

Interesting! How did you get into that? I'm still kind of trying to feel out my options for different pathways, and mental illness interests me a lot. Is it a difficult field to get started in?

And yay, only one more week!! Time is going by so fast. I can't believe it's already Groundhog Day. Come onnnnnn, spring!

Forgive me for being ignorant, but how cold does it get in Utah? Do you get snow?

Woo hoo another Jon and Kate fan! I love that your daughter says you are like Kate. All the notes and planning will certainly come in handy for WDW. I actually really like Kate- I think she does a great job as a mom. If I had sextuplets I would not be half as sane as she is! And I agree, I bet the house will look a little more normal once there are things in it.

I love Jon & Kate too, but I have to record it and watch it after DH is in bed. He HATES Kate. I understand she has to be that way to keep order with 8 kids, but she treats Jon like poo! I hate the was she talks to him sometimes. Leah is my favorite, she so teeny tiny!

Yeah, sometimes I cringe at the way she talks to him. I don't know though, I have a soft spot for her! Leah is such a sweetie.

Good news!! My Disneyoutlet order came today! I just got the shipping email yesterday. No wonder the shipping was so expensive! That was super fast. And only 6 bucks of duty.

Right now all the t shirts and both sweatshirts are in the laundry (I got larges and I have to shrink mine because they're quite big), but once they're out and dry I'll try and post pictures. I still don't have my camera, but I'll see if I can figure out how to use another one in the house. I'm really happy with all of them, they are super cute. Two of the t shirts are 100% cotton so I'm hoping they can get some good shrinkin' going on and I'll cross my fingers for the Eyeore tee that is 15% spandex.

Now I'll just have to go hunt out the camera...

I had a great day at the hospital with the kids today. I think Tuesdays are my favourite day, but it feels strange to be done so early! We made valentines today and I'm so not an artistic person so I felt awful for my student Oh well, it's the process that counts, they say.

If the bus schedule works out right, I'm finally going to get my digital camera! Oh, how I've missed it. This PTR will become a zillion times more interesting once I can actually post pictures. I feel like only posting pics from past vacations is kind of a cop out LOL.

Well, right now I'm off to have lunch and then take a nap. It's nice being done by noon, but I am NOT a fan of the early early mornings.

It's fascinating and I could not imagine working with another population! After seeing the families of origin, it's no wonder why people are so ill.

I thought that might be the case with the Masters. Luckily MSWs only take a year to complete! And I can believe it about the families. I thank God every day that I was blessed with such an amazing one. I hope I never start to take them for granted. Were you in the field long before getting your Masters? I'm trying to figure out about how much time to take in between bachelors and masters degrees (fingers crossed that I can even get into a masters program! )

Yep, I am definitely a Jon and Kate fan! I don't always agree with all of their decisions but the kids are cute and watching their show can always bring a smile to my face. It's one of my very favourite guilty pleasures!!

Good news and bad news for today.

First, the good: I got my camera back! So this PTR will FINALLY have current pictures. The first thing I'll put up is my new Disney clothes, hopefully by tonight!

And the bad: The June conference is getting rescheduled and it hasn't been confirmed yet when it is rescheduled to. So no Disneyland in June, and I'm really really hoping that it changes to July or August so I can go still. If it's in September, I'll have school. So I'm anxious to hear!

Okay, so I know these aren't Disney related pictures, but they're the only ones I got today before my camera ran out of battery. It's charging right now so I can post my new Disney clothes later tonight (or tomorrow) but since I'm so excited to have it back I can't resist! I'll try not to post obnoxious amounts of un-PTR related pictures but for now... you'll just have to humor me.

First are just a few pictures of my lovely city (Toronto) taken from my car today. As much as I whine and moan and complain about the snow and cold, I really do love my city.

And next are some pictures of my little puppy (well, he's actually quite old but I can't get out of the habit of calling him puppy!) on the porch outside. I'm really glad we won't have to kennel him on this trip. He's such a sweetie. I know Chows have bad reputations but he is the gentlest, cuddliest old guy ever.

I'm having kind of a rotten day today... I have a terrible headache and I just got home from the hospital (where actually the kids put me in a great mood) and I'm just so frustrated today. I know this is a PTR so I won't go into details, but I feel like I'm at the end of my rope in a friendship and I'm tired of being unfairly treated... but it's a person who is like family and I really really care about. I just wish it was a friendship that made me feel valued and respected instead of defensive and unappreciated.

Well. I've got to go do some work now. Yaaaay, data entry! I'm listening to the music from Soarin' to make it a little more fun.

Just thought I'd share a cute story from the hospital today. I was working with a little girl who'd had a brain injury and was in for orthopedic work, and we were doing creative arts (with shaving cream. It's fun! ). I was just chatting to her, asking her questions, etc. and she wasn't answering. My supervisor hadn't told me that she was nonverbal, so I was wondering what was up. Occasionally she would point to things or laugh or repeat a word I'd said. Eventually, an hour or so later, her mom came in to visit. As soon as she saw her mom, she said "Ola, mama!!" and they began conversing in Spanish. This poor little girl, the whole time I was trying to get her to use her words and asking her questions... she'd barely understood a word I said! She was new to the unit, so the staff in the therapeutic rec. department had no idea. Now I'm trying to figure out a few words in Spanish for my next shift so I can communicate with her a little better. If only it was French that she spoke!

I desperately need to clean and keep on going with the data entry (my brain is turning to mush!!) but I am so tired that I just feel like settling down with my laptop, surfing the DIS and eating ice cream.

Your dog is adorable. Toronto is beautiful. I'd love to visit someday. It's on my to do list. The shirts are great. I bought the minnie t shirt, mickey t shirt, tinkerbell tshirt, goofy, grumpy and a button down with mickey emblem for Brad and a mickey, pinocchio, and goofy for Tyson. Total with shipping was $60. Not bad for 9 shirts.

I'm sorry your friendship is bringing you down. Maybe it will work itself out. Just don't let people bring you down. I have found that, for me, it's best to talk to the friend instead of ignoring them and leaving them to wonder what happened. Alot of times they don't realize what they are doing to you. Just a thought, since I don't know the circumstances. Big hugs though.

OH and I love Jon and Kate plus 8 too. I just don't have a DVR to record it so I never end up watching. I love the marathons. That's when I catch up. Kate does bring down Jon but he seems to bicker right back with her. I think it's just part of their relationship. Kind of like teasing/flirtatious bickering. Sometimes she is a bit harsh though. But I love her!!
