They told us about class rings today.

In homeroom they dragged all the freshmen down the the theater, and some guy from the company told us about why we should all get class rings, and what we could get on them. I thought they were cool, except for one problem....

THEY MESSED UP THE BIRTHSTONES!!!!

My birthstone is Opal, so I was thinking about getting a ring with an opal in it, but I looked at their birth stone cutting thingamabob, and they had a pink saphire or some other fruity thing as October's birthstone.

So yeah, I'm debating about wether or not I'm getting one. They arn't cheap. Like $500.




So, do any of you have class rings? If so, what does it look like? If not, are you planning on getting one?

My birthstone is an opal. What you saw was a Pink Tormaline(sp) It is often used in place of an opal. I hate that thing. I like a pure white, cloudy opal. I don't like the sparkly ones. I don't like the glassy ones. I like the milky white ones.

anyway on topic. we have kind of class rings, we arent allowed to get them till we are seniors and its just a gold ring with a big G on it. they are really really ugly.

my month is june so i have a crappy birthstone so i got a blue one.. i think thats september. i never wear it though. it was a waste of like $250 or something. it also too small on me, my fingers grew in 2 years

If you have a warrenty on it, you can get a new one that fits for free.

I have a class ring i got it when i was in 10th grade.. i have my birthstone which is a ruby.. Red.. on one side it has my name one it and our school mascot on it and on the other side i have 2007 and colorgraud flags... mine was a lot and i wear it all the time.. Most of my friends got what they liked and not their brithstone.. they are cool but you can go somewhere else and ask you parents just to get a ring you love.. and say it is your school ring..

Mine's simple. It's small with my birthstone (garnet/january) and it has the name of my school going around it. Then on one side it says 20 and on the other side it says 06. It's just like my sister's.

it kind of looks like a wedding ring XD. on one side it says 2007 with two diamonds, in the middle it has my birthstone, aquamarine, and then on the other side it has pphs with two more diamonds. inside it has my name. its too big on me, but if i get it sized, my name wont be there anymore. *shrug*

I have one. My birthday's in April, and the real birthstone is diamond, but yeah... didnt get that one. wayyy to expensive. lol. I got cubic zicornium (or whatever the heck that is that looks like a fake diamond)
And I got a colorguard emblem on one side, and a theatre one on the other, the school's name around the stone, and my intials engraved on the inside. and it's in white gold.
I like it alot, but it did cost $300ish.

Yesm! Well, my doesnt have my birthstone though. It has a red stone (school colors are red and black.) And it has my name on one side, and 2009 on the other..the violin on the same side of where the 2009 is, the name of my school around the stone, and the mascot on the same side of my name. Its cool =) Some people were like, "You have a class ring already?" Some people thought you get them when you are senior which doesnt make sense because you would only be wearing it for a year. But i can't believe i have one already and i cant believe my freshman year is almost over!
