I just used it. The interface needs to be updated.

These two screens are not necessary and should be done away with:

They caused me to lose our Elsa and Ana meet and greet. The first screen that has you move priorities of fastpasses is not necessary because we need to be able to select the times individually. And the second screen with best match, option a, b, c is not necessary for the same reason. If anything, its confusing and might have you going back and forth trying to get different times if you didn't know there was a later screen that would allow each individual FP time to be changed.

I didn't realize they let you switch times individually until after I lost my Elsa and Ana meet and greet. None of the options had the times I needed, so i would go back and move priorities and the times would switch in all sorts of bizarre ways. None of which were what I wanted. Anyway, eventually, when I went back to do it, the Elsa and Ana thing disappeared and was replaced by the mickey mouse town meet and greet. I couldn't get it back after that. It was gone for good. I tried with just 1 person, but it was too late.

Anyway, get rid of those 2 unnecessary screens and take us straight to where we can choose a list of times for each fastpass from a LIST OF ALL AVAILABLE.

still happy that disney is allowing advance scheduling. I know in the end they will get it right. and when they do it will be glorious.

I've used the suggested times for 2 trips now, so I don't want to see them do away with them.

I agree. Just used this yesterday and those screens are totally unnecessary.

I start with a set of the suggested times and adjust from there if necessary. Most days I don't need to adjust, so I agree. It is helpful.

I'm sure both screens are useful in Disney's mind. Unfortunately the Meet and Greet FP+'s seem to be notorious here for causing problems. Screen 1 is useful because it let's the computer know what FP+ to get rid of if they can't give you all of the ones you want. So for example if I pick TSMM, TOT and Great Movie Ride it knows if remaining times conflict I want TSMM over TOT. The second screen is useful for the people who don't want to spend hours moving individual FP+'s around.

Ideally, they would have a basic and expert mode.

I agree it's cumbersome but I can see where it would be challenging to let someone pick the times for 3 FP+ all at once and not allow the times to overlap. Seems like there could be a lot of going back and forth on screens to get it right before the computer would accept it. Plus most of my suggested times worked well for us.

That's crummy that it screwed you up that way.

So, when booking FP+ ressies, should you just accept whatever is offered, and tinker with it later? My window will open in about 45days and I want to be as prepared as possible...

here's another thing I noticed as well...
ex....my wife and little girl wanted to do elsa and ana while my boys and me went to space mountain. But we all wanted to ride thunder mountain and belle's enchanted together.

using those screens above will not work for that. You have to have 2 separate groups of fastpasses and the chance of both having the exact times for thunder mountain and belle's enchanted are almost zero.
So, you have to do them individually for that.

correct. don't even bother looking at the times it gives you...just click next.

Yes, I experience extreme frustration last night because this entire time I thought you could choose FP+ selections individually. Not so.

I booked A&E for my entire party but then decided I didn't like the other two attractions so I cancelled them. That left me with just the 1 FP+ selection (A&E). When I try to select two more, it makes me select all three at once thereby over riding my current A&E selection. :-(

So at this point, I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to lose that A&E FP but I want to schedule two more.

I totally agree.

Let the people pick three. Pick the times. Done.

The new change screens seem to be better than the old ones though. Those were a nightmare, going in one by one. And from what I read, it seems they took away the ADR overlay. In November, the app kept trying to work around my ADRs. So I had to take out the ADRs, do the FPs, then put the ADRs back in.

Anyway, back to your point, they should just let you go from picking what three experiences you want, to the current change screen where you can pick your times.

Sorry you lost your A&E FP :(

wow, that's a whole other problem I didn't even think about. But you are right, that is not good design. And yet another reason they need to let you schedule them individually.

I'm not sure why Disney seems to have such a horrible track record with IT stuff. Perhaps they have a high up IT guy who is sort of like a bully and the boss over him who is supposed to get them to design and do stuff gets sort of bullied and ignored by the IT guys...I don't know...like the boss says, we need the website to do this....and the IT guys go....well, we can't just do that...and the boss just doesn't have enough pull to get his IT guys to get it done right the first time.

I rarely suggest calling Disney for help, but I might do it in this case. The CMs seem to have more flexibility in using MM+ and may be able to add two things without deleting your A&E FP. Just have them add anything and then you can go change them.

Yup, drop down, select FP attraction, drop down select time. Or a button for Disney to pick your times/attractions/both. All on one screen.

MUCH simpler.

Thanks for this.

I will call. I'm typically fairly self sufficient so they whole situation bugs me. :p

The screens are not meant for you if you are on here.

The screens are meant for 75% of the people at Disney who at most bought a book about Disney to read up a little. The system is meant to with at little knowledge as possible and little frustration as possible get you your favorite to least favorite rides.

In the end it would be nice to start with (Custom vs Walk Through) options so that you can just skip the screens if you want.

It sounds like maybe things have changed some but when I went in Dec, I found it easiest to pick the option that had times furthest away from what I really wanted. That way when you go into change the times you'll have the most flexibility. I did find it took quite awhile changing all the times tho. Would much prefer a drop down menu of pick a ride and these are the times available.

I think it's overly confusing as well. But putting on my business hat…..I expect those first two screens are there to help them spread the Fast Passes across the day, and to as many different rides as possible. As a pp pointed out, I betcha 75% of people assume those are their only choices and just pick an option. By providing limited choices, Disney can control where the majority of guests are heading and at what times. Sort of like offering your kid a choice of two outfits…they have some sense of control, but ultimately, they are wearing what you want them to wear. ;)

That said, our FP+ window opened on Sunday, and because we'd never done it before, my sister and I did it on the phone. She was picking for the group (because she controls the kids' accounts). We didn't initially love some of our time options, but because I'd been on here, I told her to pick the best one and then we could change individual times. Which worked like a charm. Thanks Dis Boards!

I understand that business side. I guess what I envision is a nice aesthetically pleasing table with 3 "slots" if you will. One for each FP. You can select an attraction and a time. If no times are available, it won't let you select a time but it still may list the attraction. Or perhaps you can sort by attractions with times available or show all attractions (much like searching hotels.com or something).
