So we had an overtime day at work today. The boss always bring in donuts for the morning. As I was looking in the box of donuts I thought they really should make donuts that are half glaze and half chocolate frosting. Or half chocolate & half maple.

What is something you always thought they really should....

Put the correct number of buns and hot dogs in packaging. 10 hot dogs and 8 buns to a pack is obnoxious. Apparently the buns are baked in clusters of 4 in pans that hold 8 rolls. Even though they now make pans that hold 10, we still don't have enough buns, people. Just charge more and make it even. Or stop selling the hot dogs by the pound and give us 8. Either way, make it work, hot dog/bun industry. Rant over.

I don't even like hot dogs but my kids eat them.

Says someone who has never iced a donut. LOL The glaze is poured over when the donut is hot out of the fryer and that would be a bit easier to do just half, depending on the set up. But to get the icing on, you dip the top of the donut in the icing. Again, you could pour it over but that would take a bunch more time and be more of a mess. Donut shops make hundreds of donuts. Ain't nobody got time for that. LOL

Hmmm . . . Maybe a chocolate filled glazed donut, or a chocolate filled with maple frosting. Or perhaps there should be more variety in donut holes. Then you could buy both types you want.

Not exactly what you asked - but they really should not put that glued on wrapper onto the sugar cones that you get at an ice cream place.

The cake cones don't have them. The waffle cones don't have them (at least not places I've been). But the sugar cones have this wrapper that doesn't always peel off really well. And sometimes there is some residue left on the cone that stuck the wrapper to it. How about just grab a napkin and wrap it around it like they do for the other cones? You need a napkin anyway!

No this is exactly what I am asking...

I have seen cake cones with them. And I understand WHY they are on their but agree.

Another one is In & Out "wrapping" their burger with the thin useless paper that you have to remove to be able to eat your burger and always gets stuck on the cheese and you end up eating some of the paper as well.

This must be a US thing because here, we get 12 buns and 12 hot dogs in each pack.

Okay - here's what they really need to do. Offer a VARIETY PACK of oreos, darn it!! I always see so many awesome flavors I want to try, but can't buy a full size $4+ pack, just to sample it - I don't want that many of 1 flavor - especially if I don't like it.

This is such a no-brainer, but they won't do it. Please cookie people - give us a variety pack with red velvet, pumpkin, christmas, birthday cake, classic creme, chocolate, chocolate mint, fudge, espresso/coffee, etc. etc.

Who's with me on this? Wouldn't it be awesome?

My DVR should be smart enough to know when a program gets messed up because of a football game. For example Equalizer has gotten messed up due to Sunday Night Football and because of enough times I just set the recording for the series to be 1 hour after scheduled end time. But since I've done that has it gotten messed up? No, no it hasn't.

Maybe other DVR devices are smarter IDK but it's frustrating to try and guess just which program which night could possibly this time get messed up and then it wastes space making the whole series record extra long length and I have to hope that I gave it enough time.

I don't expect it to figure out when some special thing pops on like weather or unplanned presidential stuff though.

They really should offer half size orders of all entrees at all restaurants. There is always SO much food in restaurant meals. If we're just at home and eating out, fine, we can take leftovers home, but when we're on the road traveling, we can't always save it. So of course then we have to overeat.

I had to do that to when I had Dish. That is the one plus to using streaming to watch shows. They never cut off the ending or beginning due to other programs running long.

They really should remove the last knuckle of shell and tail on shrimp served at restaurants. I’ve never heard a logical explanation on why they don’t.

“It’s always been done that way” is bogus.
By cooking it with a bit of the shell it provides a better seafood flavor to the dish. You could take all the shells from shrimp after peeling and boil them to make a seafood stock. It is annoying though I agree.

Exactly. The only time they don't come in dozens is when you buy the jumbo wieners and then they are in a pack of 6, so it's easy enough to do the math on matching them to 12 buns. ;)

What they really should do is generate some sort of bat-signal (or something) that will alert me when a product I've been using for years is on the verge of being discontinued, so I can hoard as much/many as I can find.
