They really do try to make things right!

I purchased a set of photo cards made from our CC picture and when I went to pick them up the morning of our debarkation, I found that they messed up the caption. It said Happy Holidays from the Edwards. They left off "family" which was clearly written on the order form. Just plain Edwards sounded funny but I had already waited in line, everybody behind me was impatient as well, and the cast member shrugged a bit as if to say there wasn't much they could do... I know they were up against a time constraint so I just took them.

Today, I emailed guest services @ DCL and asked if I could return them for a refund. I said I was being petty, but it really didn't sound right with the caption missing "family" and I was going to have to find something else for my cards.

They replied within 3 hours and I received an email from the manager of photo services and he said he was personally reprinting them and mailing them tomorrow to me.

What a nice gesture. I know that if I made a stink on-board, they probably would have done the same, but I didn't want that mob in line behind me to blame me for holding things up, and frankly, I wanted to enjoy my last few moments on the ship rather than worry about it.

I'm so glad they take the time to take guest comments seriously and I am happy to be able to give them my repeat business and referrals.
 
I'm glad this worked out for you. But, I think your attitude had more to do with the outcome than Disney's. That was a wise decision, choosing to enjoy your last few minutes onboard.
 
I actually had the same problem with my Christmas Cards from Shutters. When I went to pick them up the morning of disembarkation there also was a typo. I was there rather early in the AM, around 6:45AM so even though it was crowded it wasn't that bad yet. I got back on line and explained to the CM that my DS's name was misspelled. She got out our form and checked and agreed it was. She immediately said she'd re-print them and asked when I was getting off the ship. Since we weren't getting off until after 8AM, it wasn't a big problem. When I went back to Shutters at 8AM before getting off, there they were all reprinted and perfect!!!
 
Why cant more people act like you two? Is it so hard to be an adult and realize that it was not personal? I am amazed every day at the level of ignoance with people. Do they realize how they are embarrasing themselves when they get loud and threaten. Probably not. I just had to commend you for being such positive role models and acting as an adult. If you have children, then hurray for you for being such positive role models for some of our future adults. :cool1:
