When the cm's tell you to enjoy yourself and don't worry that you will never see these folks again don't listen to them! We have had the pleasure of cruising with some of our DIS friends on 2 cruises and have booked a third with them. They have turned what would have been a nice cruise into one that is almost beyond description. Mike

I agree!
I am in correspondence with a dining mate from my February trip and if not for the 9/28 Dis Board, I wouldn't have had such a great vacation this past time! Meeting people who you correspond with makes all the difference!

Also, it's great to repeat DCL vacations because when you are recognized by your past servers/guest services/entertainers, it's even better than ever! They really do make you feel "welcome home"!

Love to all the 9/28'ers!

Yep!!
DH and I are also victims of their deceipt.;) When we first cruised in 11/98, we met a guy, at lunch, who works for Disney as a merchandising exec. for the Parks and Resorts. Since he was just working that cruise, he was alone. We're the same age and he even used live very near us here in So. CA!! Well, the rest is history. We've been friends ever since. We sailed last year on the 4-day Wonder and in about 4 weeks will be headed out on the Western Magic together!!
Side note: He was sent to Italy to prep. the Wonder, when she was built. They got her set up, sailed to Southhampton, England for the huge press party, then came across the Atlantic via the Azores to her home in Port Canaveral........Lucky guy!!!

I too can attest to the truth of this fallacy (the fallacy of this truth?!?!?!). When we were on our three-peat, we met a party at the first Castaway Club party. Then, we met them at the SECOND one...turns out they had had such a good time that they booked the next cruise spontaneously!

We have to agree with this one. We've just booked the March 1st Western cruise with our table mates from last year. We had such a good time with them on the cruise and always vowed to do it again in 2003...... can't wait, it seems such a long way off.

We did not meet anybody during our dinning rotation since we (4 adults) had the second seating and our own table.

We also became best friends with out tablemates from 3/02 cruise. We speak weekly (they live in another state), and are planning to get together this January. Unfortunately they are being transferred to Germany (military), so it may be awhile before we can all cruise again, but thanks to the phone and email we remain close.

We agree! When we cruised on the Magic in Dec. 2000 we hit it off with one of the other couples at our table. Many nights we were some of the last people in the dining room. As it ends up she grew up not far from where we live and when they came "home" to visit her family this summer we were able to get together one evening. We are also cruising and dining with them again when we are back on the Magic in Jan.!!!!
