They Don't Eat Hash Browns in Princessland - May 14 COMPLETE! 2/8 pg. 73

We are back from Vegas and I'm slowly catching up.

First and foremost, Mark says THANK YOU for the tribute to him with the hat pictures. Very much appreciated.

And, as always, I am :lmao::lmao::lmao: at your updates.

I am definitely going to have to try to drink a bit through F&W this trip as we've never been. Although if my three drinks in a row in Vegas are any indication, it might not be the best idea. Let's just say I wouldn't haven't been able to sit on that railing that you mastered at all.

The food looks yummy, always.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW....love the pic of Mom and Pop.

And speaking of Popadon...his walk in WS is priceless.

I can just see the three of you laughing uncontrollably puffs of glitter. That is just hysterical. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OMG, your dad's various walks are hysterical! But I guess in Disney you have to have some style to your step. I mean, I'd probably go all Titanic in the wind tunnel too.

Mmmm, that Queso and Guac look really good! Totally need to check out the Ditch now. It's funny how I've never noticed it before lol :thumbsup2

OMG, that Lucy gif. The Vitaminavegamen girl or whatever it was episode, one of the best EVER! Lucille Ball is the Queen of Comedy and always will be. I can only imagine how 'good' you were feeling ;)

Love the hat pictures and the really cute one of your parents! So adorbs.

LOL @ that guy behind the juggling guy at the BoardWalk. Was he part of the act or something because he does not seem to know what to do with himself? :rotfl:

Glitter puffs... Okay...

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

The legging story reminded me of a bookstore story of mine. I was buying a book (chick lit) and the cashier (who was a guy in his twenties) was telling me how he liked it and how there was great male characters in it. I so didn't expect him to say that hehe

The mushrooms in fantasia are my favorites too ;) I can hear the music now hehe

awe margaritas.

I sadly didn't get the chance to have one this past vacay.

OMG now I'm the one who's laughing hysterically... and I brought my mom along with me. Man, we love you hehe

I'm all caught up and OMG I am dying over here! :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao::drinking1

I seriously want to hang out with your family to see these shenanigans first hand. You guys seem like the kind of people I would want to hang out with and drink with! Can't wait to read more!

I'm all caught up Danielle and I'm loving the TR so far! I also have to say that I NEED Papadon's Star Wars hat! That is awesome!!!

I haven't been responding much on your TR but I have definitely been keeping up when I can and omg, your adventures in World Showcase sound just like mine! There just has to be a time when our trips overlap!

So totally laughing my *** off at your latest update. I love my parents, but yours are so the one I've always wanted. If they are ever in the market for a 40ish daughter to adopt just let me know.

Margaritas at la cava sounds so amazing right now. Last time we were there hubby and I got plowed at the bar while sticking our kids in the corner to fend for themselves. #tequilaoverkids ; )

And you are so my drinking and eating around the world heroine. Alcohol, check, wine, check, beer, check, and check. And the end it with a cronut, the latest culinary treat of the gods. I'm not worthy.

And then the glitter. I'm totally willing to chip in to buy the boardwalk security footage if anyone else is in. Perhaps figment could even deliver it in smell-o-vision.

Can't wait for more!!!!

They're always in the market for more family! :lmao:

Hahahaha. Nice #tequilaoverkids. I mean, that would be my philosophy if I had some kids you know.

If you didn't already know it, I'm a eating professional. Hence the reason I gained weight and have to work so hard to lose and maintain it. :rotfl2:

Boardwalk security of the incident would be priceless!

Mark is definitely known for his hat pictures, so of course we had to pay tribute!

F&W is the best time to just eat and drink around the world. My favorite part of it all is to just be able to take my time walking around and not worry about what's coming next.

I know, his walk around WS is just insane. The man has just lost his mind.

He definitely has style in his step, that's for sure.

The queso and quac was really good. I definitely want to make the effort to stop at the Ditch to just relax in the future.

That is my favorite Lucy episode ever. "Do you pop out at parties? Are you unpoopular?"

He was selected to be part of the act. He was waiting there to do his job if I remember correctly.

The CM with the leggings was awesome. Not what I expected in that moment, but it was pretty hysterical.

The mushrooms in fantasia are my favorites too ;) I can hear the music now hehe

I can hear the music too! I love that whole sequence.

The SWW meal looks fun!

And I LOVE your pic with Donald.

The meal was a lot of fun. My brother and I are staying for a long weekend for SWW, so I'm hoping that they do the meals again. I want to do the breakfast this time too.

awe margaritas.

I sadly didn't get the chance to have one this past vacay.

Awww no! That's a sad Disney vacation for me if I miss a margarita!

There's always a lot of fun to be had in my family if there is drinking involved. :rotfl2:

We just like to have a good time, even if we're not drinking. Life is so stressful, why not try to have as much fun as you can, right?

I'm all caught up Danielle and I'm loving the TR so far! I also have to say that I NEED Papadon's Star Wars hat! That is awesome!!!

Glad you're caught up!

They had some awesome Star Wars stuff that time. I want to see what they've got when we go back for SWW next year.

I haven't been responding much on your TR but I have definitely been keeping up when I can and omg, your adventures in World Showcase sound just like mine! There just has to be a time when our trips overlap!

Whenever we go and have a good time around WS, I think about your adventures too! I hope we do overlap at some point! I have a lot of trips coming up next year, so here's hoping.

Day 5 - Monday May 19, 2014

Today the plan was......going to the Dark Side! Having purchased AP's back in January, we had planned on going to the dark side for the three trips planned in 2014. Gotta get my money's worth on those tickets man! Originally we had planned on doing two half days, but we decided that one half-ish day would be plenty for the trip.

I had a special shirt planned for this day. Disney yes, but not really. This is from Cakeworthy. I absolutely adore this shirt, and let me tell you, it gets TONS of laughs and compliments when I wear it.

Our plan on this fine morning before going to the park was to stop at Chick-fil-a for breakfast. Ooooooohhhhhh yeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhh. We do finally have a Chick-fil-a in our area, but it's not what you would call close to us. It's about 30 minutes away, so I don't get out there too often.

It was a bright and beautiful day, as emphasized by this lovely photo while we waited for the car at the Boardwalk.

The Chick-Fil-A is right out the back door by Downtown Disney, so we were there in a matter of minutes. Soon, I was seeing this lovely sight.

I'm totally wanting something like this right now. Too bad it's strictly vacation food, and on vacation I most definitely am not.

This breakfast sandwich is just absolutely the tastiest breakfast sandwich ever. So yummy. As if you couldn't tell, I highly suggest this breakfast to anyone if you ever make it to Chick-fil-a in the AM.

After eating our breakfast, we made it to Universal in no time. Soon, we were pulling the car in valet, and heading in. We get deep discounts with valet as AP holders for Universal, so we typically opt for that.

Islands of Adventure was our first stop.

And the adventure begins!

The park was fairly crowded already. This makes me think about what it's going to be like in November when we go to check out Diagon Alley. I know that their wait times have gotten insane over there.

I tried to get a picture of the two of the P's together. As you can see, they never start out going well, because the two of them can't seem to get their stuff together! I'm telling you, how I deal with the two of them. :rotfl:

That's more like it!

And then they started bowing to it. Who knows with the two of them.

Soon, we were heading into Hogsmeade.

Yay Hogwarts!

The wait time was posted at 35 minutes already, but we weren't going anywhere, so we figured we would just hop in line.

That poop on the castle is theming, remember.

While we waited in line, we talked about our upcoming visit in November with my friend Julia. If you stay overnight just one night at a Universal hotel, you get two days worth of express passes, which allows you to skip the line on every ride except for the Harry Potter stuff. I say "yes please!" to that. We decided that we would stay one night in November to get the perks from that. We can just pack an overnight bag and leave our room in Disney for the night.

The wait for the ride wasn't too bad. We did end up getting hung up in the Greenhouse area.

The guy with the glasses in this picture is hilarious, because he's like "why you taking my picture?"

Warning! If you don't have a stomach of steel, do not eat copious amounts of Chick-fil-a prior to boarding!

Continued from previous post:

The Team Member responsible for grouping people at Forbidden Journey was just not having a great day. Now, as a previous theme park associate, I can understand their pain at the grouping position. Because I'm not kidding you, people for some reason cannot count. This is the story of a grouper:

Grouper: How many in your group?

Guest: Six.

Grouper: Okay, row 10, 11, and 12 please.

Count six people......

Grouper: How many in your group?

Guest: I'm with them!!!!

Grouper: (Internally ticked off because you CAN'T COUNT YOUR OWN PEOPLE!)

It basically just screws everything up. Because people get placed, but now we're wrong, and you have to adjust and make corrections going forward.

I mean, for real, do I have to plug these videos in for people to remind them?

Part of a groupers problem is that people can't count, and they also don't listen. We were sent to a car, and a single rider was sent with us. Single rider just got in a different car, so we ended up in a car on our own. Maybe it's because of this new way they're teaching math? Don't even get me started on that.

The ride was fabulous, as it always is. Still ranks up there for me as one of the best attractions in Orlando. I'm very much looking forward to going on Gringotts in November.

We got off of the ride, and I grabbed the bag from the locker while Mom and Pop waited outside.

Mom pointed out that the rid was making her burp over and over again. She said that the Chick-fil-a was coming to bite her in the rear.

Me being the loving daughter that I am laughed and her and asked if she was going to puke.

She said no. But she was basically doing this continually for about 10 minutes.

Of course, her burpiness wasn't stopping me from getting a frozen butterbeer for us to share. The last time we were there, we got the regular butterbeer, and it was a bit too sweet. I had heard that the frozen ones are less sweet, so I figured why not? We could try that one.

We liked the frozen one much better than the regular one. It is less sweet than the regular one, so I will have to remember that for the future. It's on my repeat list for the next trip.

It was getting really hot out already, so we sat under a shaded area at a table to enjoy our butterbeer.

And I wasted time taking a selfie.

After we finished our butterbeer, we headed towards Marvel Superhero Island. Pop and I decided ahead of time that we weren't going to ride the Hulk, so we were all opting to go on Spiderman together. I hadn't been on this since they upgraded the movie.

On the way, we had to head through the Dr. Seuss area.

I think this is the next hair do I'm going to get for myself. What do you guys think?

Soon, we were approaching our destination.

As we were heading towards Spiderman, the Green Goblin was out and about. I couldn't catch him quite fast enough, as he was running into the store. Probably taking his break for the day.

The wait time for Spiderman was listed at 35 minutes as well. We figured we would wait for the ride.

When we got to the area where the Team Members take your picture (which is new to me), the Team Member there was too funny to me. She looks at my shirt and then looks at the other Team Member and asks if he thought my shirt was okay and if I could pass. He looked at it, and then said "well....that's actually really funny."

So I was given the okay, even though I was "technically" wearing a Disney shirt. Mom and Pop though. Mom held her bag in front of her shirt, trying to hide the fact that Mickey was on it. The Team Members were very funny and playful, but they eventually let Mom and Pop through to ride. I thanked them. :rotfl:

The wait wasn't too bad for the ride, and soon we were boarding our ride vehicle.

The refurb that they did on this was really good. I think that the new movie is much crisper than it used to be and we really liked it.

At this point, we decided we would leave Islands of Adventure and head over to the Universal side.

It's nice that it's just a simple walk away.

Soon we were heading into the Universal park. Where would we stop first?

Up next: So...you basically cloned an attraction, added a new movie, and suddenly it's new and groundbreaking? :rolleyes1

Looking forward to more of your dark side adventures. I'm looking forward to a few years down the road when my little one is big enough to go on most of their rides. Of course with their emphasis on rides vice magic bands, I'm secretly fearful she may never want to go back to the other wide.

Absolutely love your t-shirt. Were they just giving u. A hard time or do they really not like u to wear disney clothes at universal?

Looks like papadon is largely behaving himself this far. Does the dark side do some kind of strange personality reversal on him?

Oh wow, for 3 trips, those Uni AP's would be golden. They are quite the bargain really. I actually considered it myself.

Sadly (or not) the stepsisters will always be royalty to me.

I almost wonder now... does anyone NOT go to Wizarding World first? But how can you not?

I have to admit that, on occasion, I have given the wrong people number. That's because I could go all day with say, 6, and then on one ride, 1 opts out. And I automatically say 6. BUT, I correct myself almost instantly, so not quite the same thing, lol.

It is a terrific ride though, and I just bought my Uni ticket for September!!

Bahaha, so funny watching Green Goblin chasing Spiderman. Some superhero.

They take a picture on the Spiderman ride??? That is new.

Uh oh, me thinks someone didn't think Transformers was all that special...

Great shirt!

By the way, I think the express passes are only included if you stay at a deluxe universal hotel, so not like cabana bay, but I could be wrong.

Gotta love people that can't count and the blame others

Spider-Man is a darn cool ride

HA I love that shirt!

I don't have Chick Fil A anywhere near me either which is a shame because I love those waffle fries.

LOL it's just owl poop on the castle.

I never tried the regular butterbeer but I loved the frozen one so much that I don't see myself having anything else. I def want to try the butterbeer ice cream they have now!

It is really nice that you can walk from one park to another. I loved being able to do that at Disneyland.

Part of a groupers problem is that people can't count, and they also don't listen. We were sent to a car, and a single rider was sent with us. Single rider just got in a different car, so we ended up in a car on our own. Maybe it's because of this new way they're teaching math? Don't even get me started on that.

:lmao: Yup - that's it - blame it on the NEW math!!!!!! :rotfl2:

I didn't get you started, did I????? :scratching I hope not!

Now I know why BG does such a crappy job of queuing their lines. I always wondered why. Apparently they KNOW that people can't count so they just leave the seats empty. :faint:

Universal totally looks like a blast. Very cool that you are going to be staying on site in November for a night. I have always thought about doing that but I know that Denny would DIE if we were paying for two rooms at the same time (cash. points or otherwise).

I am dying to try Forbidden Journey because I have repeatedly heard how its the best ride EVER.
