They Don't Eat Hash Browns in Princessland - May 14 COMPLETE! 2/8 pg. 73

It was pretty yummy. Pop definitely enjoyed this one. Mom and I decided that getting some Stella would be in order. Normally I'm a Guinness drinker, but I didn't want something quite that heavy. Under normal circumstances though? Oh yeah....

Oh, normal beer and a cronut a la mode! SCORE!

Ok I like Stella (guiness is good but it's like cheesecake in a glass and NO way in warm weather outside like that...for me) and I love cronuts. Love the idea of cronut alamode. All 3 together? Hmmn.

And this folks. This shows I have no shame. You see me burping in this picture? That's because I take my drinking contests seriously!

Pure unadulterated satisfaction in my face. Because I won. And she lost. See? She's still drinking.

I chalk it up to the fact that:

1) I'm a pro
2) I burped
3) She didn't burp
4) I'm a pro

I was insanely full at that point. Man. Drinking, eating, drinking.....drinking. It makes you full.

We headed back to the resort, because we knew the entertainment would be out on the Boardwalk, so we figured why not go check it out?

We wanted to head back to the resort and relax in the japoolzi, so we started heading back.

I turn around.

I start walking.

Foot catches on the Boardwalk.

And because this is a Danielle TR and I have no shame....that's not where it ended. Oh no.

The sheer magnitude of my stumbling and the fact that I was really full from eating and drinking? Well then.

Puffs of glitter guys! Puffs.....of glitter.

Needless to say, this was the highlight of our night. Because at this point, all three of us started laughing uncontrollably. That's how we roll folks. You know this!

This is what happens when you let me drink too much! We headed back to the room still laughing maniacally at that point about my puffs of glitter. We changed up and headed out to the japoolzi to sooth our muscles. What a great ending to an amazing day. This trip was already going down in the record books.

What a GREAT update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How much fun and some very impressive mixing of cocktails going on! I am :rotfl: at the Tutto Gusto CM about the PIN code.

Don't ask me how I knew that the Italian CM was playing with Danielle but I did and could not stop laughing when he told her he was teasing her.... it was great to have Danielle think she had too much to drink and couldn't get the pin number right :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I love this trip report update and your excellent use of gifs. :thumbsup2

I've never heard of the Ditch before reading trip reports on the Dis. People would talk about this place and it took a few other reports before I found out that the Ditch was La Cava, which doesn't really help either, since I don't know where that is. :upsidedow Is it inside the Mexican Pavilion? It has been a long time since we walked in there.

I loved this update, if for no other reason than the shenanigans that went on around the World Showcase. :rotfl2:

I feel like we have the same taste in alcohol. Everything you drank I was like "I'd love to try that.":lmao:

Sorry you fell on the boardwalk, but if it's any consolation, it made for a great wrap up to your post. One person's pain, another's amusement.....:rotfl:

Oh my gosh you guys crack me up! The last time I consumed alcohol in Epcot was on my honeymoon, and while we failed to drink around the world it sure was fun trying!

Love the update! That cronut ala mode looks delicious right about now... As for the drinking contest, teasing CM, and unicorn puffs -- hilarious! I love how much fun you guys have together!

I'm dying here!!! Unicorn puffs, I will have to use this in the future!!

Great googly moogly how did I get so far behind!

I had higher hopes for the bacon cupcake, definitely tasted more like a corn muffin than cupcake. Would have been better if it was icing in a cup with crumbled bacon!

What are people thinking leaving their kids alone in the Ditch? I understand it Disney and it supposed to be safe but you just never know. I keep threatening to carry around pixie sticks to hand out to all unaccompanied children!

You just made me snort iced tea out my nose. At my desk. At work. In my thankfully empty lobby.

:rotfl:

Puffs of glitter indeed!!

:rotfl2:omg im dying over here!!! hope you didn't hurt anything when you fell!!! a few drinks always help make those situations easier to laugh at !!

Hahaha, thankfully I didn't actually hit the ground. It was more like a total trip / stumble, look clumsy moment.

I always laugh at myself regardless, even if I hadn't been drinking. :rotfl2:

LOL all Popadon needs is Leo DiCaprio behind him with "My Heart Will Go On" playing in the background!

La Cava looks fun! I definitely agree that you should not be letting your kids run around a bar on their own. Not cool!

Bahaha the seals of approval are too great.

Ooooo I am going to have to try that wine. I am not a big wine drinker either but I do like sparkling drinks.

Hahaha oh that CM playing games with you.

Cronut...a la mode? I'm swooning!!!

Bahahahaha. Oh dear. I won't tell him that.

Yeah, I was totally at a loss with that whole "let my kids wander around this bar" thing. I mean, who does that?

That is one of my favorite wines. Oh, and Moscato is always a winner for me.

He totally was playing games with me. And that cronut a la mode is totally to die for.

See that. I didn't even know there was a humming bird garden. So you're still way ahead of me.

Haha, you know you're in Disney when there's a queue line for the bar. The next Tier 1 Fastpass I imagine.

On your story with the littles. I really do wish that people would realize that just because it's Disney doesn't mean you shouldn't watch your kids. There's still stranger danger people!!!

It sounds a little sad that I know that bathroom Popdon stopped at is right behind Kringla. But after consuming a sticky schoolbread, you tend to know where the nearest wash-room is.

God I hope I make it in February and our dates line up. I need to see this group in action so very badly.

Well, there was SUPPOSED to be a hummingbird garden for the F&G festival. See how well that worked out?

If you needed to book a FP+ for La Cava...I would do that every single time.

I know! Like, what the heck are you doing just letting your kids wander around. And I know they were in the area, but still. Not acceptable, and this is NOT a play place.

That's always a go to bathroom for me in world showcase. LOL. It's always around when I need it.

Hahahahahaha, you better make it work man! Make.....it.....work! :lmao:

Kids left on their own in a bar!? Nothing shocks me anymore.

I'd be annoyed too missing out on the baked potato and cheddar biscuit.

You guys are hilarious with your drinking contests. Booze always helps soften the blow when you fall.

What's with the random guy standing at attention with the juggler? He looks like he belongs with him, yet he's wearing a magic band.

Nothing shocks me anymore either. Needless to say, I wasn't that surprised by it.

I was so bummed out missing that biscuit! I really wanted it.

Thankfully, I didn't actually fall, it was more like an aggressive stumble. :rotfl2:

He was a guest chosen to participate in the show by the juggler. At that moment, he was just standing around chilling.

Okay I would NEVER leave my kids alone in a bar. A mean c'mon its a bar! At least sit near your kids and glance over every once in a while!

:lmao: Yes that right it is all glitter!! :rotfl2:

Seriously can your family just adopt me? You guys seem like you have so much fun! I mean can I atleast be an honorary member? :lmao:

I am going to have to try to hit Food and Wine one of these times! But not going in a low season means I will need to get creative and think:idea: of some magnificent idea that will make me millions (okay well maybe just a couple thousand) But seriously you make F&W look awesome (and I don't even drink!)

They were in the bar area, but not really that close to them. Like, keep them at your own table people.

All glitter man. It's always all glitter.

We are always accepting honorary members into our family!

F&W is my favorite time to go. This was F&G, but they've turned it into a bit of a F&W festival, which is pretty cool.

Too much fun to comment on :rotfl2:

Popadon is too cute as always. I think he wins in the hat category ;)

Cronut.... YUMMMMMM.... hope to try that one day

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: I can just picture all the near falling and walking issues (we would've been like "hey, you been walking long?")...You certainly would've had my boys laughing with your puffs of glitter.

Popadon typically wins in most categories. :rotfl2:

The cronut is amazing. So so good.

That's basically what I said to myself. Walk much? The puffs of glitter were just the funniest part of the entire situation.

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: OMG! so glad all that concerntation paid off! :cool1:

I love the 1st round choices. Probably my top three choices. 2.5 ritas and you were still going strong. Gotta love it!

My only question is - how the HECK did you feel in the morning? :confused3:rolleyes1

I had no idea you could get a cronut a la mode! :roll eyes: YUM!

Hahaha, all that concentration, I'm telling you. :lmao: I mean, come on, I didn't want to fall into the beautiful topiary!

I was doing pretty good on 2.5 ritas! I'm telling you, I'm a lightweight.

I felt fine in the morning! Amazing, I know.

You absolutely can get a cronut a la mode. I think I like the plan cronut better, but it's worth a try.

Awesome way to spend the afternoon. :cool1:

What a away to take it easy!!! Relax and eat drink around the world.

Oh my, being tipsy near the railing and then the episode on the Boardwalk...... :rotfl2: That's how you know you you are on vacation, you pull that off and it is a wonderful day. :lmao:

It was a great afternoon and day overall. Perfect way to spend the day.

Hahaha, regardless of how the day ended, it was incredible.

Oh, wait, so I am not supposed to just leave my kids unattended at La Cava? I thought that is why it is referred to as the "ditch" ;)

Seriously though, those margarita's are awesome. I usually get either the jalapeño or the avocado ... though last time I was there they added a horchata one so I had to get that one too, I mean, instead of .... yeah, instead of - let' stick with that. BTW - if you like them spicy I have heard if you ask they can make a habanero one.

Yeah, it's a darn shame they didn't have the yards of beer. I mean, you were getting dangerously close to being sober ... at some point that evening I am sure

I hope you didn't glitter in the japoolzi ;)

I know, right? You didn't get the memo on not leaving your kids at the Ditch, huh?

I want to try the horchata one in November. I saw that one on the list the last time we were there. I do not...under any circumstances, like them spicy. I leave that to everyone else.

The yard of beer would have come in totally handy at that point. The sober was coming.

Nope, I was good and I did not glitter in the japoolzi. :rotfl2:

Great update that has left me hungry and thirsty as usual! :thumbsup2

Is that the "ditched" kids in back of Momma in that picture? I hate seeing stuff like that, especially since having a kid of my own. Just don't know what people are thinking sometimes. :confused3

All of my updates always have some kind of food in them, don't they? Man, I tell you, I've got issues.

Those are indeed the "ditched" kids behind my Mom. I have no idea what they were thinking. Like, I'm okay if you want to have a drink and have your kids around. I'm totally down with that. But not watching them? Not cool man. Not cool.

Epic update! :thumbsup2

Too bad there weren't any hummingbirds in the garden! That would've been cute to see :) But hey, at least Mater & Lightning were. Phew.

THE DITCH! I need to try out a drink here so badly. All of them sound delicious, but when you mentioned the pineapple, I knew that was the first one I needed. YUM <3 The blood orange sounds delicious, too. What's your favorite so far?

All of the food pictures look wonderful and are making me SO hungry! That baked potato and cheddar cheese biscuit sounds like it'd be reaaaallyyy good.

Way to win the drinking contest!

Mom was super excited to see them, so it was disappointing when they weren't there.

The pineapple is delicious. My favorite margarita they actually don't have anymore! It was the hibiscus margarita and they took it off of the menu. The others it depends on my mood. I really like the cucumber for its freshness. For sweeter, I would say pineapple.

I think it would have been really yummy! It was sad it wasn't there.

I'm all about winning the drinking contest.

Woohoo, awesome update!
Too bad the hummingbird garden was just a garden. I love watching hummingbirds.
Looks like a great time at the Ditch :thumbsup2 Wish I liked alcohol, because I'd love to try a drunk little cucumber.
All that food is making me hungry...
Puffs of glitter. Oh my word! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

It would have been awesome if there were actual hummingbirds there. They could have been, maybe just not in the immediate area.

I know if you don't like alcohol it's not saying much, but the flavor of the margaritas are really good. They don't taste too much like alcohol. To me at least. May not mean much. :rolleyes1:lmao:

Oh yes. Puffs of glitter.

Great update!!! :thumbsup2 And Puffs of Glitter!!! OMG!!! :rotfl2:

Ok, I admit, I picked wrong... Mom, you need to step up your game because your little girl just drank you under the table!!! :rotfl:

Hahahaha, it was a hilarious day.

I agree. Her little girl totally did drink her under the table.

Bummer about not seeing any hummingbirds!

Sounds like a nice time relaxing with some foods and drinks in Mexico!

LOL funny story about the CM messing with you! :lmao:

Nice job winning the beer contest ;) Mom didn't stand a chance!

OMG hahaha I'm sure you falling and the hilariousness that ensued was priceless!

I know, I really wish we could have seen them.

Mom totally didn't stand a chance. I'm a professional beer drinker. :rotfl2:e

I can't stop laughing now just thinking about your puffs of glitter.... :lmao::lmao: I remember how hard we all laughed uncontrollably. And the beer drinking contest..... in my defense I spilled all over myself:rotfl2:

It was a hysterical day!

Okay, if you spilled all over yourself, do you think that would have facilitated you finishing faster? Hmmmmmm? :rotfl2:

What a great update! I have to admit I laughed hysterically throughout this. Ok so I don't really drink, but the blood orange one sounds good. The cucumber one too actually. Mmmmm sausage rolls. Love the funny pictures!

You have every right to laugh away at the update. It was a funny day overall. The blood orange margarita was really yummy. I highly recommend it. The cucumber one too.

Puffs of glitter.

I. Can't. Even.

Speechless. Nice.

Oh my goodness. I just found your TR and I love it! The last part about the puffs of glitter was just the best. I feel like I should be taking notes of all the yummy things you ate so I can try them when we get there. I can't wait to read about what happens next.

:welcome: Glad you're here!

The puffs of glitter were definitely the highlight of the day, that's for sure. Take notes along the way for food! There's always a lot of it in my TR's.

Looks like a fun-filled afternoon!

That Cava place is so great...those margaritas are calling my name. I think I'll have to do as you did, and stop for a drink and the chips / queso. YUM. In fact, typing this makes me jones for Mexican food. Takeout for dinner, it is! :thumbsup2

You all look like you had a great, tipsy afternoon! :cool1: And the "glitter" at the Boardwalk?! :rotfl: :lmao: Hilarious!!

It certainly was!

The margaritas are always calling my name when we go to Epcot. I can't resist them. The chips and queso were awesome! So so good.

The glitter was definitely a way to end the day.

Hahahaha! Oh my gosh! At least your keepin' it real! :rotfl:

Great updates! The "cronut" looks really good. I have yet to try one of those...

If I do anything in life, it's that I always keep it real.

Definitely get the cronut. They're really good.

I'm caught up and not even going to try and comment on everything.

I was in EPCOT the same time as you, it was our first park of the trip. I was driving a nicely decorated scooter.

The fruishi was excellent you missed a good one there.

I love Popadon. My parents are never any fun like that. Much too concerned about how they look to other people.

I fell on teh boardwalk at the Jersey shore once, it happens. I would have much rather had puffs of glitter. I got a cast instead from breaking my hand.

Caught up and trying to stay that way.

I wonder if we crossed paths! I'm sure we might have at some point. I'm really sad that I missed the frushi! I had heard it was so good.

My Pop is a really funny guy. He's tons of fun to hang out with.

Oh no! That's terrible! I didn't actually fall thankfully, I just stumbled like, super hard.

Every time I hear someone say there were kids at a bar I think of the movie Sweet Home Alabama "You brought your baby to a bar"? It always makes me laugh.

Love the pics of you guys trying on hats. Papadon's pose is just so precious ;)

I knew you would win the drinking contest!

Oh my gosh tripping, falling, and farting all at the same time? Don't let anyone ever tell you that you can't multitask! :lmao:

I totally almost used a gif of that! I love that movie.

My Pop is just a silly guy. Making him do silly things is one of the benefits of having him.

I always win! No, not really.

I am an expert multi-tasker. I can fart and do pretty much anything at the same time. :rotfl2:

Mega update indeed!

I love your relationship with your parents. I have a great relationship with my mom, but I could drink her under the table. Just sayin.

Ah yes, the drunk little cucumber! I can't even imagine what that tastes like. Blood orange on the other hand sounds wonderful, but I can see where it might be too sweet.

I love my relationship with my parents too. I know you have a great relationship with your Mom too. It's just always great to see.

The best way to describe the drunk little cucumber is that it's super fresh. :goodvibes

Another hilarious update.... You're killin' me! I literally snorted in laughter at the pic where you said you burped!! I felt like I was there with you guys. Those margaritas looked sooooo yummy! Was dying to try the blood orange one, now maybe not if it's too sweet. See, your trip reports are educational too... Lol.

Hahahaha. Nice! That was real life going on there in that sequence of pictures. I enjoyed the blood orange one. It wasn't too sweet for me, but I also like things that are sweet, so it would be hard to tell.

Oh my gosh. Puffs of glitter. Unicorn laughing. I was just dying. Like I had my head down on the keyboard because I couldn't stop laughing picturing this.
Fun to read all the updates.

Nice! I love being able to make people crack up laughing. That means it's a good day.

Ok I like Stella (guiness is good but it's like cheesecake in a glass and NO way in warm weather outside like that...for me) and I love cronuts. Love the idea of cronut alamode. All 3 together? Hmmn.

What a GREAT update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How much fun and some very impressive mixing of cocktails going on! I am :rotfl: at the Tutto Gusto CM about the PIN code.

I agree, Guinness is like a full meal. While I love it, if it's super hot outside, I tend to avoid it.

There was definitely some mixing of cocktails going on. I did a pretty good job! That dang CM, messing with my head.

Don't ask me how I knew that the Italian CM was playing with Danielle but I did and could not stop laughing when he told her he was teasing her.... it was great to have Danielle think she had too much to drink and couldn't get the pin number right :rotfl2::rotfl2:

It was not THAT funny. :rotfl:

I love this trip report update and your excellent use of gifs. :thumbsup2

I've never heard of the Ditch before reading trip reports on the Dis. People would talk about this place and it took a few other reports before I found out that the Ditch was La Cava, which doesn't really help either, since I don't know where that is. :upsidedow Is it inside the Mexican Pavilion? It has been a long time since we walked in there.

Thanks! I love using the gifs, they definitely add a layer to the update.

I think I heard it referred to as the Ditch a few years back on one of MEK's TR's. It is inside the Mexico pavilion. As soon as you walk inside the main area, it's off to the right.

Shenanigans are definitely a way to put it.

Well then the next time we see each other we will have to have a drink!

Thankfully, I didn't totally fall. I just mega-stumbled. And I laughed at myself, so I would fully welcome everyone else laughing at me.

Oh my gosh you guys crack me up! The last time I consumed alcohol in Epcot was on my honeymoon, and while we failed to drink around the world it sure was fun trying!

It is fun to try! I've never made it all the way around the world either. I normally only make it like five drinks in.

Love the update! That cronut ala mode looks delicious right about now... As for the drinking contest, teasing CM, and unicorn puffs -- hilarious! I love how much fun you guys have together!

The cronut a la mode is totally yummy. I highly recommend it to anyone.

It's always a good time when we are together, there is absolutely no doubt about that.

Unicorn pulls all the way!

We had high hopes for the bacon cupcake too, so it was a little depressing that it wasn't that great.

I have no idea what they were thinking! I like your pixie stick idea.

You just made me snort iced tea out my nose. At my desk. At work. In my thankfully empty lobby.

:rotfl:

Puffs of glitter indeed!!

Nice! Iced tea snorting always means that I'm doing a good job.

They really are puffs of glitter! :rolleyes2

So totally laughing my *** off at your latest update. I love my parents, but yours are so the one I've always wanted. If they are ever in the market for a 40ish daughter to adopt just let me know.

Margaritas at la cava sounds so amazing right now. Last time we were there hubby and I got plowed at the bar while sticking our kids in the corner to fend for themselves. #tequilaoverkids ; )

And you are so my drinking and eating around the world heroine. Alcohol, check, wine, check, beer, check, and check. And the end it with a cronut, the latest culinary treat of the gods. I'm not worthy.

And then the glitter. I'm totally willing to chip in to buy the boardwalk security footage if anyone else is in. Perhaps figment could even deliver it in smell-o-vision.

Can't wait for more!!!!
