They Don't Eat Hash Browns in Princessland - May 14 COMPLETE! 2/8 pg. 73

I'm so sorry about your broken toe :(

Great PP pics!!

Sounds like you had 2 more great DISmeets!

LOL love Pop's demonstration of what would happen if he at the cupcake.

LOVEEEEE your dress!

Sounds like an amazing night with great people at Jellyrolls!

I know! It sucks. :sad1:

We had a great day in general, but the DISmeets were the definite highlight.

Thanks! That dress is my favorite!

So now I am a Derp.... :rotfl2::rotfl2: Love the cat

Yes. You are a derp. Plus, I loved that cat.

Legging equals cool!! Now we need a picture of you posing in them! We got to make sure you rock the legging correctly!

I may have to go to JellyRolls this trip. Hmm, maybe if there is enough time!

I love leggings! I have a bunch of them. Hahaha. And yes, you do need to make sure you rock the legging correctly. I don't have a picture of me in that pair, but there are photos of me in plenty. :lmao:

I'm behind...again. But my boss had his last day in the office today until after Labor Day so hopefully I can stay more caught up.

I swear that last year Darth's Mall was back behind Rock & Roll. We never went in this year (Mary didn't need anything for her hubby). I LOVE your leggings...they are so you. :)

The picture of Landon with the Yeti is priceless.

I know the ABC Comm. gets horrid reviews but the food doesn't look all that bad.

Oh Pop! You are just too funny getting your wrist ready for action.

What a fun night you look like you all had Jellyrolls. I'm so glad you got to spend more time with MEK and eandesmom. We've never done Jellyrolls and we are staying at the Boardwalk the second half of our trip in September. I'm thinking we may have to stroll on over.

All I could think of when I couldn't find that pin was.... No way and now I have to go back in there and wait again :lmao::lmao: I was so glad that Danielle found it in Rick's hat pixiedust:pixiedust:

I know! That would have been the part that was the worst. Going back in and having to wait in that line again.

Yay!! Darth's Maul is always fun! Lol, I definitely expected it to be much more insane than it was when we were there but we did notice a lack in good merch left over by the time we got in! You guys certainly pulled out a lot of good stuff!

And YUM that cupcake, I could go for like 5 of those right now!! PB & chocolate are two of my favourite things so the cupcake just makes me super happy lol!

Looks like an amazing and fun awesome night at jelly rolls! Love that place! Might have to crash your night in Nov! bahaha :cool1:

It was really busy inside for us that day, but the other two times I went on the trip were definitely not as bad.

I love the flavor of those cupcakes, but to be honest, they're a little rich for me.

SO MUCH FUN! OF COURSE YOU'RE GOING TO CRASH IN NOVEMBER!

What an amazing day! That SWW merchandise is all so great! I would have completely broken the bank in there. That Yoda Duffy is adorable and his t shirt slogan is pretty much my life. Jellyrolls sounds like a fun place! It has been added to the list. :)

It was such a great day! I didn't want to break the bank all on my first day, and I knew that at some point I was going to go back. Yeah...I spent more money.

Definitely add that to your list! Jellyrolls is tons of fun.

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun! I really love the leggings! I'm totally imagining the store clerk wearing them through the house... :rotfl2:

Your dress is soooooooooooo cute! Where did you get it at?

We had so much fun! I totally hope he did buy them. That would have been epic.

That dress is from Hot Topic. They don't have it online anymore, but you can find it on Amazon sometimes and on Ebay. :thumbsup2

Hmmm, 15 minute wait for Darth's Mall doesn't actually sounds all that bad.

Oh thank goodness you did a second look for the "missing" pin. I would hate to see a CM get creamed in error. :laughed:

Haha, Landen only loves Ariel, so I guess a Yeti just can't compare.

Oh see, when Pop was exercising his wrist, I assumed he was doing some neat Jedi mind thingy.

Wow, now that is a pretty epic DISmeet going on there at Jellyrolls. How completely awesome!!! I love it!!!

It wasn't bad at all to get in. It was really crowded inside though.

I knew I had to check in the bag before she went marching in there. For the poor CM's sake that would have been on the receiving end of that. :rotfl2:

I suppose Yeti just doesn't compare to Ariel for him.

He could have been trying to do some Jedi mind trick thing, who knows. :lmao:

It was amazing! So much fun. Pretty stinking epic. But not quite as epic as your Illuminations cruise I think. ;)

You were not behind at all my friend!

Maybe it was before. I haven't been during SWW in years, so we generally probably shouldn't believe me anyway. Bahaha.

Landon just steals the show in his pictures.

We've never had any bad food at ABC Commissary. My main problem in DHS is the lack of variety. That's my only issue. The meal was good though.

Jellyrolls was so so much fun. You should definitely go when you're staying at the Boardwalk. It's so nice to just walk back.

OK, I'm all caught up with the trip report now. I love reading along on all your journeys. In my next life I want to go to Disney as much as you do.

Jellyrolls looks like so much fun. It's on my list things to do if I ever get to Disney without my kids.

What great updates. Never knew who wants to be a millionaire was in the darth building, but when I was growing up way back in the 80s it was another game show - let's make a deal. We sat in on a taping and were so excited when aired to see our backs on TV. That was also when the backlot studio tour included seeing the sets for the Mickey Mouse club. Ahh to be a child of the 80s.

One quick question, what is the Easter eggs on TSM? I'm clearly a novice.

Jelly rolls looks like a blast. Been there a few times prekid. I love her, but will be a great day when we can all drink and sing and drink some more together.

I love those leggings and I hope the guy did get them.

Those are the same pins that we got :)

So many great thing that you bought though.

I love your dress. It looks super cute on you.

Jellyrolls looks like it was a lot of fun. Sometime I need to get over there.

Hey Danielle! I’m catching up within a reasonable amount of time! :woohoo:

I am loving the SWW stuff. I would love to take Willow someday, but it isn’t at a great time of year for us to go all the way across the country - stupid school calendar.

I just love the fact that they named the shopping experience Darth’s Mall! :rotfl2: And you got some great stuff there too!

I am in love with the Vader cupcake - my child would pass OUT if she could have that thing.

And what a fun DIS-filled night! How awesome that you all were able to coordinate so well. JellyRolls sounds like so much fun. :woohoo:

Hello, I am back and true to form I have fallen behind. So I will apologize in advanced for the long post coming at you.. I really need to get better at keeping up. Here we go.

I couldn't imagine being stuck listening to some one give out poor information the entire flight I think that I might have had to say something.... well maybe... Most likely not. but it is a good thought. Sorry the flight stunk so bad. That issue with the rental car would have driven me nuts. I've gotten pretty lucky with all the recent rentals I got. I even got a free upgrade. That desert looks really yummy. I can see how it could possibly be full of sugar. The whole issue with the purse makes me glad I can shove everything into my pockets. The princess room is really cool the detail in the room is amazing.

Moving on to the next one. You most likely don't have to worry about the towel situation because I would wager they bleach the heck out of them. It is however refreshing to see someone so considerate about it with the pillow case and stuff. I get your pop's reaction they were his potatoes. I have never sat in a chair like that either looks interesting. I know how you feel about the clicking of the keyboard. a lot of time I will silence my phone because I don't want to hear it. Yes I know I could just shut it off. I don't burn too often too so I get when he burned it being different.

That is a really nice view from your room. The Boardwalk looks like a nice resort and there is nothing wrong with acting a little silly. DIS meets are always a lot of fun it's cool to meet someone as crazy about Disney as we tend to be. I get your battle with spicy food. I too do not care for spicy food.... I don't know about the milk part but I happen to be with you on spicy food. The duck looks really good.

Sorry about your toe thats a real bummer hopefully it heals quickly. Of course you didn't notice you were too in awe of all the star wars stuff. That is a pretty cool coin purse Haunted Mansion is pretty awesome. Good pictures of all of you papadon looks like he is enjoying himself in the middle there. You don't have to worry about not getting a picture with me.... I think that is how it went with us I have picture of all of our meet ups but the person who initiated the meet up is the only one in the picture with the person we met up with. I met 2 DISdads no picture of Alicia in them lol.

Darth's Mall was really cool. That's really awesome you got both of the droids. I saw you inside too of course I was pretty oblivious till I pretty much ran into you though. The cast member I got as not nearly as entertaining as yours. I really liked the coin thing that your mom got it was really really cool. Landon was really unsure about the yeti... sometimes the kid wants nothing and I mean nothing in his bubble. He will try to shove whatever is in his bubble out of it. I loved the Darth Vader cupcake it was soo good. It looks like you had a great time at the bar. It was great to meet you all and hear about the green eggs.

Wow all caught up..... yet again sorry for the long post I wish I could say it is the last time I fall behind but I know myself and it will most likely happen again.

I miss Who Wants To Be A Millionaire!!! I remember they would show the top 10 whenever they picked a new contestant, and once my mom was 2nd, I was 3rd, and my aunt was 4th, all at the same time. So close and yet so far...I wanted the Disney cruise!

You got some great Star Wars swag! That is one very cute Duffy.

I definitely want to get over to Jellyrolls. We have a dueling piano bar near my college and after Disney it's my favorite place in the world.

I finally got caught up on your trip report. :)

I love the Star Wars mug. :lovestruc I am a big fan of the original three movies and I would have bought one of those mugs for sure. :)

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - our son got up on stage to play that - twice! He was really fast pushing those buttons and he knew all those answers. We were SO EXCITED and so nervous for him. He didn't get too far either time, though. Once a stupid question about some obscure character in a Disney cartoon had him stumped. Anyway, he won a lanyard and a bunch of pins each time. It was great fun for our family and we got a lot of mileage out of those stories. :)

Jellyrolls - we have got to try this place when we are at the YC in September. We have always wondered about this place, but it never looked like anyone ever went in there. :lmao: I'm worried about how hot the weather will be in September, we usually go to WDW during the winter, and this would be a good place to get out of the heat. I've heard that there is a cover charge for it.

By the way, we were in your neck of the woods a couple of weekends ago. We drove right past Great America and I thought of you. :) Luckily, the crowds weren't exiting at the time of day.

OK, I'm all caught up with the trip report now. I love reading along on all your journeys. In my next life I want to go to Disney as much as you do.

Jellyrolls looks like so much fun. It's on my list things to do if I ever get to Disney without my kids.

Yay! I'm glad that you're here.

I count myself very fortunate to be able to go to Disney as often as I do. :goodvibes

Definitely put Jellyrolls on your list. It's such a fun place.

One quick question, what is the Easter eggs on TSM? I'm clearly a novice.

Jelly rolls looks like a blast. Been there a few times prekid. I love her, but will be a great day when we can all drink and sing and drink some more together.

That must have been when it was also a working studio. That's pretty cool. The Who Wants to Be A Millionaire was just a game, so it wasn't filmed, but I was still obsessed with the idea of getting on it!

The easter eggs on TSM is a gaming term used for unlocking hidden things. So on TSM, if you do certain things in each room, you'll unlock the ability to score more points. For example, in the alien room, if you can get all of the aliens off the table before one reappears, it will unlock something. ;)

I love those leggings and I hope the guy did get them.

Those are the same pins that we got :)

So many great thing that you bought though.

I love your dress. It looks super cute on you.

Jellyrolls looks like it was a lot of fun. Sometime I need to get over there.

I really hope he got them too! Would have been so awesome.

Yay for pins! I really liked the pin selection they had. I needed to be careful not to buy all of them. LOL.

Thanks! It's definitely my favorite dress.

You definitely need to check out Jellyrolls soon. It's a great place.

Hey Danielle! I’m catching up within a reasonable amount of time! :woohoo:

I am loving the SWW stuff. I would love to take Willow someday, but it isn’t at a great time of year for us to go all the way across the country - stupid school calendar.

Yay for catching up!!!

We don't go often during SWW either. Next year I'm definitely planning a short trip back, just because we enjoyed it very much, but I know it's not the most convenient time of year for everyone.

The cupcakes are definitely a highlight. LOL. Always a highlight for me though. Pretty much anything that I can eat.

Jellyrolls was a highlight of the trip for us! So great that we were all able to spend time together.

Hello, I am back and true to form I have fallen behind. So I will apologize in advanced for the long post coming at you.. I really need to get better at keeping up. Here we go.

No worries at all!

It was horrible listening to her go on and on about incorrect information! I had to bite my tongue the entire time.

The entire trip down was not ideal, but I think the fact that we're pretty laid back people helped the situation.

That magic cookie bar is a great dessert. Definitely full of sugar though. Hahaha.

You should certainly be grateful for pockets, because purses are one of the most irritating things about being a girl. LOL.

The details in that room are awesome.

I figure they bleach the mullarkey out of them. I guess I'm just a considerate person. :lmao: I worry about those kinds of things!

I turn my clicking sound off, but conversely, I would have definitely silenced my phone. It definitely did not create a relaxing environment for me.

It's really a lovely resort. That entire area is one of my favorites.

That is the best part! Meeting people that are the same as we are! Sometimes you think that we are the only crazy people in the world, but when you realize you aren't, it's so nice.

The duck was really good, I was definitely pleased with it.

I met 2 DISdads no picture of Alicia in them lol.

I hope it heals quickly too. I'm pretty bummed out about it. But, just gotta be patient.

That coin purse is totally awesome, I love it! It was so nice of her to get for me.

He really was enjoying himself with those pictures. I mean come on, you're the only guy in the midst of all ladies? :rotfl2:

Hahaha, okay then I don't feel so bad about not getting your picture. :lmao:

Darth's Mall was really cool. That's really awesome you got both of the droids. I saw you inside too of course I was pretty oblivious till I pretty much ran into you though. The cast member I got as not nearly as entertaining as yours. I really liked the coin thing that your mom got it was really really cool. Wow all caught up..... yet again sorry for the long post I wish I could say it is the last time I fall behind but I know myself and it will most likely happen again.

It was so cool that we got both of the droids! I wasn't expecting it, but it all worked out.

My Mom definitely got some good stuff at Darth's Mall. She was very happy with her choices.

Landon definitely was. I think that's normal for kiddos though. You're either allowed in the bubble or you're not. Haha.

The green eggs! OMG, I totally forgot about that. Only my Pop.

I was second several times! So close. So so close. And never got there. Then when they closed it, I think I pretty much cried.

It is a very cute Duffy!

You would have tons of fun there! See, it's the best of both worlds for you.

I finally got caught up on your trip report. :)

I love the Star Wars mug. :lovestruc I am a big fan of the original three movies and I would have bought one of those mugs for sure. :)

I'm a huge fan of the original three too. The others...meh....not so much. :rotfl2:

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - our son got up on stage to play that - twice! He was really fast pushing those buttons and he knew all those answers. We were SO EXCITED and so nervous for him. He didn't get too far either time, though. Once a stupid question about some obscure character in a Disney cartoon had him stumped. Anyway, he won a lanyard and a bunch of pins each time. It was great fun for our family and we got a lot of mileage out of those stories. :)

Awesome! I always wanted to get up there and it just never happened. It's always the stupid questions though right?!

By the way, we were in your neck of the woods a couple of weekends ago. We drove right past Great America and I thought of you. :) Luckily, the crowds weren't exiting at the time of day.

I would definitely check it out! They're busier on Fridays and Saturdays. They were pretty busy when we went. The key is just getting there early to get a table. It's tons of fun. There is a cover charge, but it's minimal. I believe it was $12? I can't remember. :rotfl2:

Yeah, good thing they weren't exiting! Goliath just opened too, so I'm expecting that they're going to be pretty crowded this season.

Day 3 - Saturday May 17, 2014

What an epic first full day this vacation had brought us. I mean, seriously. DISmeets galore, Jellyrolls, Popadon acting crazy, the Spa. I almost feel like it doesn't get any better than that. And for all you Trip Report readers, I'm almost feeling like it's going to go downhill for you.

I apologize for that. :rotfl2:

Anyway, onward! To less fun.

I actually wanted to be responsible this morning, got up early, and got ready for a jog. Yay me! I didn't have plans to do anything lengthy, but wanted to get about a mile and a half under my belt. Also noting the fact that I did drink the night before.

Drinking and running don't go well together.

Also taking into consideration.

Word up. Truer words have never been said.

So I went out for the prettiest run ever. Man, I wish that I could do this every stinking day!

Man, that would totally be ideal!

There were quite a few people already heading to DHS that morning, since it was the first weekend of Star Wars Weekends. The people that were on the path also gave me funny looks. Like I had lost my ever loving mind.

This caused me to put on my good runner face. All runners do it. Every time you pass people, you try to look awesome!

But the reality?

But you know. I got out there and I did it! That's what's important.

The jog around the entire Boardwalk/Epcot/DHS area is really nice. But I have to confess to you guys. This was the only time I ran on vacation. The temperature just kept on climbing and it was just too humid later in the trip. On this day though, it wasn't terrible.

After I got back to the room, I hopped in the shower quickly and got ready for the day. Mom and Pop were both up when I got back, and soon we were on our way out for the day.

My outfit today?

My awesome Maleficent tank top which got tons of compliments on throughout the day.

My makeup look for the day? Stormtrooper inspired.

Our first FP+ for the day was Soarin'. The plan was to get more F&G in, since it was the final weekend. I wanted to get a bunch of pictures of the topiaries and then eat more of the lovely food at the booths.

Of course, the beauty of staying at the Boardwalk is the ability to walk to Epcot. Score!

The nice thing about having the FP+ reservation is that we could take our time walking through the park and just taking the pictures of the topiaries on the way.

It's playlets like this that I totally wish I was still a kid and could go play!

And of course, we had to stop before heading into the Land and get some PP pictures. Sorry, they're normal looking!

Soon we were arriving at our destination.

Continued in next post:

Continued from previous post:
We hadn't eaten breakfast yet for the morning. And we were heading to Epcot, so you guys know where this is heading.

My Pop. The man LOVES his bounty platter. I just don't know what the deal is with that. :rotfl2: So of course that meant we were heading to Sunshine Seasons. It's a normal thing for us, if you've been reading my TR's. I got the muesli mix, which was pretty good I have to say.

Mom got a breakfast panini.

And of course Pop.

How exactly does he feel about his bounty platter?

We just chilled and ate our lovely breakfast. It was a nice way to start the day. I love long trips, because they give you the ability to just relax and take your time. Soon it was time for us to head in for our FP+ at Soarin'.

Hello and welcome to Soarin'!

So the FP+ line wasn't any longer than it normally is. We hit the line of people and waited about 5 minutes, and then were let in to the concourse that we were heading to. Which leads to the un-magical part of having to deal with first timers in lines sometimes. So there's a family behind us that are all wearing first time visit buttons. And the Mom is complaining up a storm about the fact that they have a FP+ for this, and why on earth are we even waiting. Um....okay. So did you not see that the stand-by line was already at 100 minutes? And you're complaining....because you have to wait 5..... Dang Disney. How dare you offer a free service, and then ask us to wait five minutes. The nerve of you! This lady did not shut up the entire time we were in line. I don't know if other parts of their trip were not magical, but she was just frustrating me.

Fortunately, they were not next to us on the ride. Phew. Dodged that bullet! Oh no. Instead, I was treated to the most insanely scared 10 year old boy on the planet. He totally didn't want to ride. While we were waiting to board he was already freaking out, crying, saying that he didn't want to go on the ride. His younger sister wanted nothing to do with him on this, and literally rolled her eyes and backed away from the situation. His Dad was telling him he didn't have a choice, he had to go on the ride. Explaining to him this:

Dad: I understand you didn't like Thunder Mountain, but this is nothing like Thunder Mountain.

Son: I don't want to go on! I don't want to aaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!! I want you to hold on to me!

Dad: Mom will hold on to you during the ride.

Son: NO SHE WON'T! MOM DOESN'T CARE!!!

So we board the ride. Meltdown is occurring. The CM totally stood there for a moment like, what the heck do I do. The Dad told her it was fine. So we had lift off.

Son: AAAAAHHHHHH!!! WE'RE ALL GONNA DDDDDDDIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!!

This will forever go down in history for me as the most memorable Soarin' experience ever. I'm not trying to laugh at the kiddo, but it was absolutely hysterical. If you can make my nephew Gavin look like the bravest kid in the world....

You might be a pansy.

He obviously survived. Although he was adamant about the fact that he would not, under any circumstances, be doing that again. We had some time between our next FP+, so we decided to head over to the festival center to pick up a guide for the festival.

And wouldn't you know it. When we were heading to the center, we ran into Caitlin, Dawn, and Dale again. But the funniest part.

Twinning!

We totally wore the same top. Unplanned. How awesome is that? Let's just say that great minds really do think alike. One of the things that Caitlin and I have discussed in the past is the obscene amount of Disney clothes that we own, and how we get them from Hot Topic. So it's only reasonable to expect there is some overlap. It was just hysterical that it was on the same day! They were heading to a lunch reservation, so we talked really briefly. Dale made sure to recommend the jalapeño margarita at La Cava for us when we visited later. Pop made sure to take note of it. We then headed in to the center.

Our main mission was to grab a guide and Mom wanted to take a look at some of the goodies that they had for the festival. She ended up getting some of the pins that they had. On the way out, Mom wanted to get a picture of Pop and I. She tried to accomplish him peeking out from behind the tree.

It failed. And I just look mad. Bahaha

It was getting close to our Spaceship Earth FP+, so with Mom's goodies in hand, we headed out. Not before we stopped in Mousegears though. Which always leads to a good time.

Up next: You gotta keep a fork in your pocket!

I remember how gorgeous that Saturday was and it was my favorite running day of the entire week. Beautiful low humidity.

Too funny that you and Caitlin both wore the same shirt on the same day. I remember you posting that on FB. Definitely believe in the great minds theory.

OMG - that poor kid on Soarin. :rotfl: You must have been DYING! :rotfl: There was a lady like that on ToT when Cynthia and I rode. I have to say I actually started laughing at her mid ride and I NEVER laugh on ToT because I'm such a chicken.

Love your pictures. Beautiful pics of Epcot.

So admiring you right now not just for the expert makeup application, but running after a night of drinking. You are my hero and even made the concept of running of vacation not sound like the worst thing ever.

What an awesomely horrible soarin experience. No way I could have kept a straight face or been able to resist a selfie with the poor boy. #goodparentingeverywhere

You have a talent for cosmetology. Your makeup looks great!

Good for you for going for a run while on vacation! Something I've never done...

Oh my! That poor kid! I work with special needs kids and when I see kids acting like that in public, I figure there's probably more going on than meets the eye. Why his parents forced him to ride is beyond me!

Love your Sandlot gif. One of my favorite movies!

Your dad peeking around the tree just cracks me up!

Great pictures!!

You do get points for the run! I'm not a runner, but I do work out - although NOT at WDW!! I've tried it at BWV, but their elliptical doesn't work the way mine does (I'm sticking with that excuse!), and so I've given up on that. I will do sit-ups and push-ups in the room just to keep up muscle, but I think that all the walking we do there is plenty exercise for me on vacation!

The muesli looks tasty, we never go out for breakfast at WDW, but I love the choices in general at Sunshine Seasons, it's got something for everybody.

I can't believe that boy was so upset over Soarin, of all rides. And after he did it, he still didn't like it? Weird.:confused3

What a beautiful run! I'm proud of you for running on vacation. I so wanna be a runner. ::yes:: I tried last year and it didn't work out, but I'm trying again and hoping it sticks! How's your toe? Is it healing well?

I'm with Pop (that's what we called my Grandad. I have a soft spot for that name). I love a big breakfast. :)

That poor kid. I feel bad for him...even if it is a little funny. ;)
