One of my old neighbors called last night. The people who bought our house have not moved in yet - nor have they cut the grass or watered the flower beds!!! They did, however, cut down a beautiful old cypress tree - an unusal tree for that part of NH and a home for a pair of cardinals. They also trimmed the rhodendrens radically - even though another neighbor rushed over and said don't cut them until after they have bloomed. They went ahead and did it anyway. GRRRR

One of the hardest things to watch is someone destroying nature - especially nature that you've cared about and nurtured.

{{{{{Hugs}}}}} to you, Marlasmom. I don't think I'd want to know......:(

I agree with Gina...it's very hard to watch someone ruin something that you've nurtured.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to keep all the things you love from your old house. The same thing happened to us but the outcome was better (so far). My dh & boys had given me a beautiful flowering cherry tree for Mothers Day and it was too big to take with us when we moved. The people that bought our house said they were going to take it out to build a fire pit! DH told them what the tree was from and they decided to keep it.

That must of been very sad to hear Marlasmom...:(

I'm glad the new owners of your house changed their minds marydmjj!!
