John Kerry (December 16, 2003 - Drake University in Iowa) "Those who doubted whether Iraq or the world would be better off without Saddam Hussein, and those who believe today that we are not safer with his capture, don't have the judgment to be president or the credibility to be elected president."
John Kerry (September 20, 2004 - New York University) "Saddam Hussein was a brutal dictator who deserves his own special place in hell. But that was not, in itself, a reason to go to war.[...] I believe the invasion of Iraq has made us less secure and weaker in the war against terrorism"
NCLB Act of 2001 - Kerry voted for NCLB.
"Between now and the time I'm sworn in January 2005, I'm going to use every day to make this president accountable for making a mockery of the words 'No Child Left Behind,'
1992 in defense of Bill Clinton's Draft Dodging: "I am saddened that Vietnam has yet again been inserted into the campaign."
2004: Nah, he hasn't said anything about Vietnam has he?
At a Houston Earth Day rally, John Kerry told his supporters that he truly dislikes gas-guzzling SUVs because they are poor for the environment. Because of this, he once proposed a 50-cent gas tax increase. Kerry said that he supports increasing fuel economy standards to 36 miles per gallon by 2015 in order to reduce Americas dependence on foreign oil. He also said that he has talked to Ford about making a hybrid car his new campaign car.
During a conference call the same day, Kerry was asked whether he owned a Chevrolet Suburban. He replied, I dont own an SUV the family has it. I dont have it. Did they give you a ride to the Earth Day rally?
