I think this would fall under the full disclosure law. You would have to tell any prospective family that your kids eat any and all strawberry shortcake bars. It would seriously make them harder to get rid of.
Do I however, detect the fine hand of our own Evil Emporer in this caper? Could he have eaten and encouraged them to eat all the strawberry shortcake bars?
ooooh--Kimball, just had a great idea, inspired by Maggie. Buy more, take them out of the Good Humor box, and put them in some sort of frozen vegtable box! They'll never find them in there!
My DH bought a box of twinkies last night and they are all gone too Of course the empty box was in the pantry.
I have hiding places for my goodies - The back of the middle shelf of the fridge (my kids don't bend) The cupboard above the fridge (they don't even know it's there) and behind anything in the pantry (if it's not staring at them they can't find it) All of these work for DH too
Believe me, it's SO NICE when the kids grow up and get homes of their own...then anything you buy at the grocery store will be there, in YOUR cabinet/refrigerator/freezer when YOU want to eat it and NO SHARING!!!
In our house, if you buy something yummy and really want some of it for yourself... you must declare so as you are putting it away after the purchase! You must be sure all parties are present to hear such declaration and if you are serious about it... make them tell you what they just HEARD! LOL! Otherwise, all you hear is "gee, I didn't know you wanted any". This comes from the DH and the child.. so they are both included in the discussion.
