I know Yavn says that VMK was not designed for Dial up connections but the truth is there are alot of us with Dial up that play and can not rack up credits playing fireworks and pirates those games just demand a high speed connection.

Heck even some of the players with high speed can not play those games for tech reasons.

Mal? sit down for this one. I noticed on my brothers computer (he has a 3ghz, with a cable connection) the fireworks game ran much better and I got a highr score. On my comp (1ghz, with dsl) it ran a little slower.

Well, a few weeks back i had to house sit at my parents while they had a tv delivered. They have a 2ghz comp, but a DIAL-UP connecton. So i thought "hey this will be funny, let me try fireworks". Well, it ran BETTER than it does on MY COMP. And guess what, i scored 20,000 higher CONSISTENTLY then even on my brothers computer.

So whats the bottom line? Processor speed makes MUCH more of a difference in the games than does connection speed.

I had no problems at all scoring 220,000 - 230,000 consistantly on my dads dial up.

Makes ya scratch yer head dont it? lol So mal, what type on processer do you have in you comp, perhaps it is both, but if you are running something like me with a 1 gig, or less, that would be more of a problem than the dial-up.

What is up with the prices? Wasn't the green exporer stuff just 250 credits each last time?? I feel really bad for new players especially kids who can't get all this stuff. What is the point of making them so high anyway? And I agree I'm scared of what the prices will be tomorrow on the blue dress and HM suit.

I agree! The prices are crazy and I feel for the kids who try so hard but have no idea how to get credits like some of us do. My son just signed up today but I knew how to get him quick credits with the codes. I've also been waiting on blue dress and HM suit, scared to see the amount they cost. Ya, so what is the point in making them so high?

you know what mal, if you have the means sometime, try bumping that puppy up to 512mb ram, and then see what that does for vmk in general, not just the games. just a thought.

I can't believe how much they want for green explorer suit. If they want that much, I am scared to see what they want for HM suit and blue princess.

I sold, traded or gave away all but one of my green explorer suit when I relized they were in regular stock. Now they have been removed from there and is twice as much. I don't think I will waste my credits buying them. I think the princess outfits, HM suits and cowboy stuff will be more wanted later on anyways.

I don't think that the Explorers outfits are going to be a big deal because they were for sale for so long many, many people have them. It is going to take a really long time for them to be rare.

I am surprised at how much they raised prices.

I don't like the prices either, but all things considered, i guess i am not really in a position to complain lol.

BUT...
imagine all those kids who bought herbie, got the code, decided to check out vmk and see what it is, come in, see all the new costumes, and have no IDEA how to get credits because they are new.

hmmm...

Even worse if the kid who gets Herbie on Tuesday after all the costumes are removed! I wouldn't want to be that kid

I run a 1.3ghz computer with 256mb, when I built my comp i did not have a budget to get bigger ram, but i am wishing i did, because I know memory makes a huge difference for vmk, because if I had higher memory i am positive i would not get the "out of memory" error on vmk that i get whenever i play the jungle cruise game too many times in a row
