They Allowed THAT name?

I was just in the Pirates lobby scoping out to see who was playing, all of a sudden i see a player with a very innapropriate name. I'll take it off here to give him his dignity, but let's see if you can figure out his title by his signature...

"i (person's name) am the christmas pop oh"

Many people know that this is an obvious reference to the show, South Park... and a very innapropriate reference at that. I just had to laugh because they wouldn't allow the name Kraken_Snack for my mule, yet they allow this? Do the people approving names live in a cave? LOL... of course i reported this immediately to which i got the response "thank you for reporting this, if the player's chat bothers you, use the ignore button, blah, blah, blah....

I apologize if this is innapropriate for the boards.. but really, i want to know the process they use to approve names, cause it just don't work...

I do not watch South Park either, so I have NO IDEA what the name is, but I would LOVE to know who approves or disapproves the names we submit I have tried creating a name for about 2 weeks now and I am getting fed up

I have tried the following:

WhoTeaFan (for Hootie and The Blowfish)
WhoTeaHolic (again, for Hootie)
TiggerIsTheBest (goes for my love of Tigger)
WhoTeaAndFishFan (waiting for this to be rejected) UPDATE: Was Approved

I do not understand their logic, if you can even call it that ... why in the world would they let me have Tiggerholic and not WhoTeaHolic

Now see, I never thought of any association, but DH pointed out that Hootie sounded like the "can't-say-it" restaurant Guess because I am a huge fan, it just never crossed my mind. But, sooooooooo happy that I got:

Perhaps the system is a random yes and no robot? Like Bit from Tron, only more random

I think it is so wrong too. I do not watch south park though I did catch that episode between flipping channels and was totally disgusted. And from then on I can not get it out of my mind after a long trip to the washroom.

No, I think when she added the FishFan part, that's the meaning it took on, and not the other many of us thought first. That's one place I have NO desire to go to. I just...wouldn't fit in.

Can't give an opinion about the op, never seen South Park more than five minutes to know I don't want to lose brain cells over it.

Quick question. His/her title didn't actually have the REAL word for 'pop oh' did it? I am assuming it didn't, which means I'm guessing that staff had no idea what Christmas 'pop oh' was, and just thought it meant something totally differant.

You know that all staff are issued one of those Magic 8 ball toys. That is how 99% of decision making is made in VMK

I have seen quite a few questionable names and most escape me at the moment- but I do know they originally approved names made at the park for me and kids- that were our real names- I wrote in to contact us to get the kid's character's names changed- and they deleted those accounts- but mine can still walk the streets of vmk... of course she doesn't play much so it may not have been picked up again...

I always questioned why some names can stay and others get changed- my ds's character had to have a name change- he was babymckey (his dad is mckey) I understand that it was more than likely the baby part of his name- and I'm sure as he got older he wouldn't want the name anyway lol- but they have people with baby and other age determining names walking around (and I know we had a few mommy and auntie who had to change their names too...

I just wish I could see the logic in it all- some of the names that get through amaze me- remember when we were all trying to get the 1,000,000th character- and some names I entered (on the few characters I tried that on) got approved and I didn't think they would lol

I do like to see some of the funny names- those always make me smile when I see them- and I usually try to tell the player I like their names- I know when I'm traveling around as DuctTape or DuckyTape I always get comments...

I too don't watch Southpark but am aware of the character- and I think it may just be that whoever approved that name had no idea what it meant- and is also not a southpark fan...
