Hi guys :)

I have afew silly questions to ask you all before we take off, just to keep my panicking mind at ease.

1. Where abouts do we go to get our tickets? Can we do this at downtown disney? I just don't want to have to get our tickets on our first morning at the park, i'd rather get them the day before.

2. Where abouts do you get park maps from in the actual parks themselves :confused3 for some reason this is freaking me out! I want to be swift when the parks first open :rotfl2:

3. Is it city hall that I can get a birthday badge from?

Thank you!!!

1) Buy your tickets online at Disneyland.com!!! You can print them out at home and take them RIGHT to the turnstiles. They will hand you a cardstock ticket on the spot. No need to go to a ticket booth! Depending on your length of stay, you can usually save money by buying online in advance as well.

2) Maps are handed out at the turnstiles.

3) City Hall is one place to get birthday pins. You can often find them at other locations throughout the park like in the shops, just ask a cashier.

1. The ticket booths. In DTD you may be able to buy them at the Walt Disney Travel Company but it has limited hours. The ticket booths are open from a little before to a little after the parks.

I would consider buying your ticket from expedia.nz and not paying an exchange rate/fee. I imagine they send you a voucher to exchange at the ticket booths.

2. At the ticket booth, disney hotel registration or guest services, turnstyle or just inside the gates. Also most CMs will have them.

3. Yes, or guest services in DCA or from other CMs behind a desk.

Yes Tickets are available at the ticket booths in the center area between DCA and DL, it is not quite DTD as it is located at one end of the "Median" or walk way, and DTD is on the other.

And yes you can go here to purchase tickets at days prior to entering the park.

Maps are available at the gates as you enter, or at City Hall, as well as most cast members wearing all white whill have maps and show time listings with them to hand out.

City Hall is located on the left side of the park as you enter, right after you go under the archways (or train station). You can get any of the buttons at City Hall.

Good luck, don't stress, it will be fun no matter what happens! :wizard:

Thanks Skiingfast. I also have another question, we have WOC dinner reservations at Ariel's Grotto at 6.20 for the 8.30pm show. What time should we be lining up to get good viewing spots? Do I need to make our reservation for earlier? If so, what time do you reccommend?

Nah, your questions are valid. Dumb questions I've heard at Disneyland in prior years:

1. Where is the Main Street Electrical Parade?
2. How much are the penny machines?
3. How do I get to Harry Potter Land? (heard at MK/WDW)

That should work ok. About an hour to eat and then go strait to Paradise Park where you are let in about an hour before the show with the Show Pass you recieve at dinner.

I got this question while i was a CM at WDW. "What time is the 3 o'clock parade?" Another funny story people lined up for a parade and i noticed a man in a tree to get a better view. I said "sir you need to get out of that tree please" in which he responded "It's ok i work here". I looked at him and said "Sir you have a full beard". At the time you could have no facial hair.

If you happen to be staying at one of the resort hotels, you can also trade in your voucher for tickets right at the check in desk at the hotel.

That was a really nice surprise the last time we went and just wanted to spend a few hours in CA after getting there (we were staying at the GCH and didn't have to go to the ticket booth at all).
