So, I'm wondering if anyone has any info on these dinner shows. I came across them when looking around the net. We always seem to have the same one popping up on the board. Might be nice to suggest something different. Just wondering if they are any good. Thanks for any reviews!!! :)

1-- Capone's Dinner Show: The review says it's a gangster type dinner show w/ an all you can eat Italian Buffet.

2-- Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show: Says it's a 2.5 hr long murder mystery dinner show. Dinner menu includes Cornish Hen, Lasanga, or Prime Rib.

3-- Olrando's Broadway Dinner Theater: An all you can eat buffet w/ a recreation of a Broadway Musical.

4-- Chamber of Magic Dinner Show at Skull Kingdom-- this includes all you can eat pizza. It says it's "comedy magic" so I'd expect it to be similar to the show at Wonderworks.

We went to Sleuths and did not like it at all. I know I have seen some people on here really enjoy it but we went with 4 people and not one of us thought it was worth it. The food was pretty bad, we ended up hitting a Wedy's afterwards because we were still hungry. Like I said though, the people at our table that we sat with seemed to enjoy it but we found it to be boring and definitely not worth the insame amount of money we paid!!

Sleuth's Dinner Show was awesome!!! Dinner was OK, but you go for the show. When we saw it, our group was all adults. They definately played the part very well! They do tone down their adult jokes when there are children in the audience though.
It's definately fun if you like participation!

I went to Capone's earlier this month and didn't really like it. I was sort of "forced" to go as it was an impromptu family vacation down to Orlando to see my sister's collegiate softball tournament during her last year. The whole team had plans to go for dinner on the one day we could have spent a lot of time at a park (we still fit in a trip to MK from 4:30-10:30 one night and it was worth the ticket price, but that is a story for another day :) ). It sounded like fun so I went in with a good attitude.

Food:
I'm a 26 year old single male and can be pleased with pretty much any food or beer as long as it's "all you can eat or drink" as it was. The food was pretty bad. Breadsticks were stale, lasanga was extremely bland, etc. The "all you can drink" alcohol was sure to make up for the bad food right? WRONG. The beer was horrible. I'm only shortly removed from college where we'd go to bars for $.10 beer night with kegged Miller High Life and we were more than happy. This was worse than any beer I drank in college. The mixed drinks (that the other adults drank) were also pretty disgusting. The "iced tea" was as brown as a cola and I heard it was horrible, but the waiter warned us that it was bad when someone ordered, so at least they are aware of it.

Show:
The show was only so-so. I drank the nasty beer rather heavily (wasn't driving) to make sure I made the show fun, but it still wasn't really that great. I admit it takes a lot to make me laugh out loud at things, but I had hardly a chuckle at the show. There was a lot of "sexual humor" if you have younger kids. All the girls on the softball team go to a dinner show each year down there, and they all said it was the worst one.

I wouldn't go back there if you paid me.

I'll weigh in with another vote for Slueth's. It has become a tradition for our family every year. Yes, the food is pretty bad (Chicken was okay--prime rib, not so much. Lasagna dried out.) but the show makes up for it. It is for teens and up--the humor can get pretty bawdy. But it can be a lot of fun if you like interactive things.

I will chime in about Sleuths.. the food was bad, the acting terrible (and so cheesy!) and the 'mystery' was not a mystery at all (it was more of a trick). I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend it to anyway. We did it as part of a company Christmas party a couple years ago, so it was a large group of adults, and overall we were less than thrilled.
