Okay, so how many days do we need for Frankenmuth? Just 1 night/2 days or more like 2 nights/3 day?

Is there anything for the kids? Keep in mind that I have 2 boys who do not enjoy shopping all that much. :rotfl:

:yay:

Would the hotel with a waterpark cure the possibly of child-boredom syndrome!!!!
I'm sure Ethan and Em would have it too....:rotfl:

www.zehnders.com

We have never been either. we usually have stopped there on the way through MI to Northern Ontario. So it would be fun for us to stay there for the first time too.

I wonder if we qualify for their GROUP rate!!!!! :)

Trix - Wow! What a story! I hope your car is OK. Sorry about that Tupperware lid. Glad that you are safe and OK.

RF - My gosh what whiners. Sounds like the party from hell. Glad you survived. I like Jodi's idea!

Lake - Will be praying for that little boy. That is so hard to go through.

Jodi - Mayer Mentally Mind Powers??? LOL

Shelly - Glad your son learned a good lesson today.

I found my Tupperware lid!!! :woohoo:

I think it was the "MAYer Mind Powers" that led me to it! :snooty:

And the tow truck (flat bed?) should be here momentarily to take my car to the dealership.

Here is a "tree" down my street yesterday.

Preach it Jodi...

When I was a teenager...

Whenever I needed to make a phone call I had to find a phone booth, I never had a cell phone.

Whenever I needed send a message, I had to find a piece a paper, envelope and stamp and take it to mail box, I never sent a text message.

Whenever I wanted to play a video game, I went to the arcade and stuck a quarter into machine. Our first video game machine was Pong, it was in black & white and it only had one game in it.

We only had 8 tv channels, not the 300 plus we have today.

The biggest TV size my parents owned when we were kids was 18 inches wide. And it wasn't in 5.1 Dolby surround sound.

 You're a good Mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My kids are so spoiled rotten it makes me sick when they start in on the "I never get to...", or, "I don't have x-y-z like peter down the street..."

I'm like.... take a look around. You've never known one second of your life of being deprived of one thing. I just get very irritated when mine start that, too.

Jo

Hey, Chris just got a HM 40th anniversary shirt by Shag today...

So unfair, I never got anything like that when I was his age... ;)

Exactly! :thumbsup2

Speaking of that HM tattoo - I found this link and thought that it was the coolest tattoo ever!

http://images.search.yahoo.com/imag...&sigr=11eqvs22r&sigi=11f54rr05&sigb=13c4o1cdv

Holy crap that is a long link!!!!

If it doesn't work - you go to Yahoo images and type in "Haunted Mansion tattoo" it will be the 1st one that pops up. It's the painting of the little girl and the crocadile from the stretching room!

So cool! I kind of want to get another tattoo - maybe something very subtle with a disney flare. :rolleyes1 We'll see!

NOT!!! - My wife texts me about half hour ago and asks me if I want one of those shirts and I say no - then a few minutes ago I find a picture on my wife's FB page with Chris with one...lololol.

Don't know what Jeremy will pick out yet.

Sea~any word on what Jeremy bought with his b-day giftcard???

A shirt for his brother? :rotfl2:

KB (and Sea) - I expect to see that video! With some sweet dance moves again!!!

Uh...those dance moves were ALL Sea...I think he had the HSM parade memorized! :rotfl2:

Hi Mayers,

Yesterday was a pretty hard day, but we made it through. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Today is Jeremy's 23rd birthday! They left around 6:30 am and headed down to DL for rope drop. Since he is an APer, he can get the 72$ gift card, so I am wondering what he might come home with.

:grouphug: again for Lena, and your whole family.

And HB to Jeremy! :bday: Interested to hear what he gets with his gift card. My son Mike who'll be with me on this trip is also 23. We didn't get to meet Jeremy in December, but Chris was a lot of fun :goodvibes Does Saturday 9/19 work for you guys for the DCA meet up?

Thanks Jo and Shelly...I don't think we'll be camping for a while! :rolleyes1

Next up is our trip to Chicago to see the Harry Potter exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry. :woohoo: I'd also like to do a bunch of other stuff while we're there, so I guess we'd need a couple of days. I guess that's coming up next week already! :scared1: I need to get working on that!!!

Wow, that's quite a camping story! I don't think I'd be eager to camping again for a while, either... And I'd love to see a TR on the Harry Potter exhibition. When will that be added to Universal in FL? We might at a Universal day next time we go to WDW just to see that...

Ummm, the twins birthday. Well, lets just say that I have never seen adults act quite so much like children as those two.

Except at Disney. But those kind of grown up's are awesome... LOL. Bob and I are the act like kids grown ups! But, if these were the grown up's acting like kids they would be the ones throwing the tantrums. :lmao:

Earlier that day before I bought their crazy ice cream cake that they had to have I asked Bob to send a text and see if they wanted a traditional one (1/2 vanilla 1/2 chocolate) or if they wanted a Chocolate extreme blizzard cake (which may or may not be what I wanted that night... :rolleyes1) But HEY! I paid for it!!!

They said they didn't care either way. So I bought chocolate. :goodvibes

After I run around and buy drinks and the cake and stuff for that night I show up at home and find out that their mother (who BTW invited everyone to my house) didn't show up and she sent sloppy joe mix and buns for dinner.... Which the 'twins' promptly rolled their eyes at and were like 'Sloppy Joes for any other dinner is fine, but for our birthday dinner' . Really mom?

I swear I am not making this up.

And then later that night they complained about the cake and said that (AND I QUOTE:)

"Next time, we'll just have to go with the regular one"

Next time. LOL. :rotfl2: If they think there's going to be a NEXT time they have officially lost theif minds. :dance3:

It's fun to be a kid again at Disney...but not a bratty kid, LOL  Some people, I tell ya...that's just unbelievable. If I come visit you, you can serve me sloppy joes and chocolate ice cream cake anytime...and I'll even clear the table afterwards!

Wow RF. My biggest pet peeve - Ungrateful people. :furious:

I try so hard to teach my kids not to be like that. It doesn't always work. The other day DS10 was whining that he didn't have a BB-gun like one of his friends. Then he started - I don't have anything. . . Boy did I let him have it!! I chewed him out for a good 15 minutes. I told him to take a good look around him and look at ALL the things he had. And that he should be thankful to be healthy and to have a brother and a mom & dad that love him and that he gets to go to Disney almost every year and things like that. I told him just what I thought of his ungratefulness and sent him to his room!

He came out with a whole different attitude and apologized.

Apparently "the twins" mom never tried to teach them this!

Hey, I know a lot of grownups that could use that lecture! :rolleyes1

We are all so fortunate now, and forget that all the time. I remember when there were no cell phones, no cable (we had VHS and a couple of channels on UHF), no video tapes let alone DVD's, no computers, our vinyl albums got scratched and we had to deal with it... and NO INTERNET! How did we ever survive??? :scared1:

I've been looking at the Frankenmuth and Zehnders websites!

So how many MAYers can we interest??? :yay: It's only about a 14 hour drive from Arkansas. :rotfl:

It would be so much fun if we could all get together!! :grouphug::snooty:

I think it would be a fun place to go in the winter. But then we would have to worry about driving conditions. :sad2: So I don't know. :confused3 Hey, maybe MAY would be good! :snooty: But that's right in the middle of soccer season for us. Not that we couldn't miss a weekend, but still. We'll see. . .

I only had 3.

I know that every party has a pooper, that's why you've invited me... party poooooper... party pooooper.:lmao:

There's no way I could go 14 hours and 23 minutes for a two day MAYer sleep over in Franken-what's-it-called.

So...

I PROPOSE....

everyone come to Branson, Missouri for the holidays! :santa:

C'mon....You know you all wanna see Andy Williams with his wrinkley behind, singing the Chrismas favorites.:rotfl: "It's the most wonderful tiiiiiiiime....of the yeaaaaaarrrrrrrr."
