I just got my email confirmations for my 2 ressies. One has the wrong address - the old one. The other has the new address with the street name spelled wrong and the old phone number. :sad2:

I specifically gave the CM all the new information and spelled everything for him.

:faint:

Arrgh Shelly! BTW, glad you took advantage of that deal. Sounds like a good way to wind down your holiday at the resort. Can't wait to hear about it!

That's awesome Shelly! You'll have to take tons of pics of the resort and let us know how it is!

Sea - I am bummed about the price increases also. I am starting to plan my imaginary trip now and the numbers are looking a little scary to me.... :scared1:

I am definitely trimming down my dining budget. I'm just not sure if the DDP will still be a good value for us anymore. :confused3

Thanks Sea!

Did you decide where you will stay in November? Better hurry if you want one of those discounted rooms, the WL standard rooms are already gone for the "promotion".

Thanks RF!

I will be sure to take tons of pics of both resorts! :goodvibes

The price increases stink. But maybe they plan on offering some fantastic specials all year. :wizard:

Yes, I don't believe we will ever pay for the DDP again. Just not worth it anymore.

Haven't had a chance yet to work on the Nov. trip. Have to go to the cemetery today and do all that stuff.

Thanks Sea!

I think you are right Shelly...Disney does a lot discounting and specials to entice people. Even though the price goes up, you can still find a bargain out there. WDW has a lot of hotel rooms every night to fill. A empty room loses them money, so even putting someone in the room for $30 is $30 they didn't have.

As for the DDP...I never really could see the value or convenience for it. To me, it restricted my vacation...I like to get away from schedules, I like my freedom and to explore.

Thanks RF!

RF - Imaginary trip to DL??? Plan the real one! LOLOL! If you were to come out, how many days would stay in Cali? Would you like to do other things?

Yep, I think we will see lots of specials throughout 2010.

The DDP was an awesome deal for us in 2007. When an appetizer and the tip was included, and the price was lower. It was next to nothing for the kids. I didn't care when they dropped the appetizer, but losing the tip being included really dropped it's value in my opinion.

I like the convenience of the DDP. We also like to have a schedule on vacation (somewhat) so it never really restricted us too much. And we have always saved money with it. If you add up all our bills compared to what we would have paid OOP for all those meals. But had we not had the DDP we would not have ate at all those places, therefore spending less money than the plan. So I guess it's all in how you look at it. It was nice too when the kids were younger and we wanted to do 3-4 character meals on a trip. With DS being 10 now and the fact that we have ate at so many of the WDW restaurants I think we are done with the plan, unless it's free of course!

Okay so I called WDW back and gave them my new address and phone number AGAIN. The CM swears that she got my address changed in every possible place there is now. We'll see. . . .

Good Morning!!

We are home!!

Jason is back to work today, :sad1:
I like it so much better when we are all together.

Our weekend was wonderful, great weather, so much fun, and as you know a terrific meet with the Mayers.
Yesterday we once again slept in a bit, then headed down to breakfast.
By 10 am, we were at the Carnegie Science Center. Waiting to do it till monday was a great idea, the crowds were quite low first thing in the morning. We headed straight to the 5th floor, where we played with the ball factory all by ourselves for quite a while. Ethan loved getting to send a postcard of himself with R2-D2 and C3PO home to himself by email. I still love the miniature trains, one of the most ellaborate and amazing displays. Emmy loved going in the submarine that sits on the river, and Jason loved playing airhockey against the robot.

By 1 pm, since we were already parked and had paid, we walked over to the Steelers gift shop at heinz field. Where Jason found a golf shirt he liked and we finally found a shirt Emmy's size, it even has the Steeler song slogan on it, which by the way she sang for the Mayers at dinner. So we all came away with Steeler shirts to wear this football season.

By 3 pm we were on the road and headed back home. The drive was great and we continued our license plate tally, our final total was 38!!! Amazing considering we were only 2 states over. Ethan wishes we could have found the other 12.

We had to sit at the border for a little while, it was busy considering it was the end of a holiday weekend here. I'll admit driving to the new house was a little strange, first time coming home to it from a vacation like that. Coming off the bridge we had to turn right instead of left... but once we were back I was happy to sleep in my own bed last night.

I'll get around to posting some pics later.

Breakfast time.

Well, you didn't keep us OUT too late. :rotfl: I was so happy when you said that. LOL. I don't know why, but t's one of those words that pops out at me in a Canadian accent. Everytime we watch hockey - I giggle and repeat back what everyone says.

It's all in love though. :goodvibes

SO - MAYers... be honest! How bad are our 'Yinzer' accents?? :rotfl2: I need to know! I swear I don't have one at all - but Bob's sneaks out every once in a while.

Your accents were fine, all of you!!!! Apparently we were the one's with them. :rotfl:

Weird- just checking out the 2010 rates..and for the dates I selected, it is telling me that staying at Coronado Springs will be 67.00 cheaper than Pop Century...

Shelly...did you like CS????

I'm off to check out CBR and POR.

UPDATE!!!!!!
and CBR is 10.00 cheaper than CSR.... I may be going moderate this round..interesting!!!!!!! :)
