Hey Trix! Well this buying/selling/packing/moving person is getting a whole lot of nothing done! Mostly just a whole bunch of talking in the phone! The good news is that I just talked to our attorney and he said things are good to proceed!

Hey all - My mom had about 5.5 hour surgery yesterday. She is still in ICU and is resting comfortably. When they opened her up, the ovaries were OK, but the abdomen had been infected. They took out 75%, the 25% that is left cannot be operated on until she has chemo and they reduce the size of the tumors. Fortunately, the doctors have told us this type of cancer responds good to chemo and that they have seen many patients do quite well in the long run. She has fight ahead of her. Keep my dad in your prayers as well - this has hit him very hard.

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers...it is working.

- to the proceeding..maybe not so much on the lack of packing. I've become bored with it, so I went to pick up a few things for the new livingroom (some pillows and a throw) and our bedroom ( new a mattress pad for our brand new mattress).

A little well needed break..but back to packing tomorrow I guess.

We go meet with the lender this afternoon. Hopefully we will get an appraisal scheduled on the new house. Our buyer's appraiser is coming here Tuesday for the appraisal on this house.

Better get back to packing Lake! When is your closing/moving date? We are looking at July 2nd for closing now (because of the short sale bank delaying things AGAIN) and possibly the 11th or 18th for moving. . .

Closing date at the new house is June 26...and on our house is July 3... so we'll have a whole week to move in. But the truck and the help is scheduled for the 28th. My packing is probably 3/4 of the way done... just the stuff we need to use for the next three weeks left.

So I'm a proud mama today...

The three grade one classes are putting on a play. Jack and the Beanstock...and guess who won the role or Jack/Narrator.


Yep, My son.

The teachers said it was an easy decision as he is the best reader and has the charm and charisma for it. ( Aww... is she saying my son is a performer... like his mother perhaps)
I'm so happy for him. A wonderful treat at the end of the school year for all his hard work.

Congrats to Ethan!!! That's great! DS7 was the leader/narrator in his program. He said he didn't know how he got picked. I just figured it was because he is loud and NOT SHY!!!

Morning all. Today is our inspection! I'm excited/nervous to see what they find! Hopefully nothing I found an awesome store yesterday. It's called Garden Ridge. It's out by PIT airport. It has home decor, patio stuff, furniture etc... For pretty cheap. I found a nice dining room set for only a few hundred dollars. IF/When we get in there and save up a little bit - that's where I'll be headed!

So we're here- we landed last night and i've done some laundry today and cleaned up a bit.

I was MIA the last day of the trip b/c wonder of wonders- the sun came out and we went to the pool and the beach.

Hello MAYers!

What a day. Spent the day on DS's field trip at Carnegie Science Center - http://www.carnegiesciencecenter.org/ It was really fun, but very tiring! I had a great group of 6 kids. Usually I end up with 2-3 bad kids but this time they were all very good! It's just the bus ride I can't handle! School buses are just nasty! Gives me a headache every time!

I never ride the bus anymore. It always makes me sick. I follow in my car and usually another mom will ask if she can ride with me.

Well, we came to an agreement - we just need to sign the papers and pray that we'll get the loan for that amount. My realtor sees no foreseeable issues - so if everything goes as planned our closing will be July 3rd! Scary! But super exciting!

Sea - How's your mother and MIL doing?
