Hi Mayers - It's raining here in LA LA land. Not too cold - 58.

My wife went down to the park yesterday with a friend and picked me up another Christmas gift.

She said it was on sale - 60% off plus her AP discount brought it down to 75% off - so it was a good deal.

Went into the office for a little while today - leaving around noon. Nobody is working, answering emails or anything. Boring!

Hi All! I'm in such a happy mood. All is well with my Chase Visa account and no new attempts by mean people at anything. Got my new cards in the mail yesterday and they are all set to go with us to Disney! I put a fraud alert on all 3 credit bureaus and I'll be monitoring those credit reports closely for a while just to be sure.
Only two day care kids today and it's naptime. Made myself a cup of tea. Taking some time to say hi to all my DIS friends. And once the little ones are finished squirming on their nap mats and have finally given up the fight to not nap, DS and I are going to play a game or two of TSM on the Wii! Can't have a better day than that! Well, unless you're in Disney of course! Which I will be in about 3 weeks and 2 days!!!!
Oh and my suitcase are already out in DS's room with summer clothes in them. No procrastinating here!

Jo- It's wonderful to hear that you're having such a great time with your family! Nice to hear you still stick your tongue out at your mom. I don't feel like the only 30 something woman that still reverts back to listening like a 6 yr old when around her mom.

Shelly- Are you going to get any of this mess they are calling for over New Year's? They still aren't sure if we are getting a mix or ice or snow or just plain old rain yet. All I know is that it's freezing and the wind has been horrible here. My patio swing blew over which has never happened in the 5 years we've lived here!

Today I had lunch with Chris's math teacher, who has become my very good friend!!! Just yesterday, she had a case of identity theft. They somehow got her social security number, banking information, etc. The theif walked into a Bank of America Bank in Massachusetts with a photo ID (with her stolen info on it), and withdrew cash from 3 different bank accounts she has with them.

It just seems to me, this identity theft thing is really bad right now.

I went to lunch at Panera Bread Company with Chris's teacher. She is leaving next week to take a class to the Bahamas. I am so jealous.

Spent the afternoon being highlighted and now back to reality.

Doing laundry!

My kids are out of "non-uniform" clothing!!!



God forbid they wear school uniforms during the break!

Oh, the shame of it.

And they certainly could not go out in public like that!

Happy 2010!!!! (Well almost 2010 but I probably won't be up at midnight so I figured I'd say it now!)

Mari- sorry the WOD was closed already. Guess you'll just have to get yourself to WDW and shop there!

How scary for her! It's such a hassle trying to get everything settled too. Chase dealt with it great but it seemed like they deal with it LOTS. Maybe it's the economy making people so desperate and willing to steal from others. So far I think I've gotten off easy but am still paying close attention to things to be sure that I can catch anything quickly if anyone does try anything. They've probably realized I'm a poor lady that spends all her money on trips to Disney and moved on.
You're such a good mom not making your kids wear their uniforms. My sister and I wore uniforms and my mom used to complain all summer about the amount of laundry we would have because of it!

Happy New Year!!!

2010 is off to a great start.

We returned a few shirts for my DH. They were plaid and he is more of a stripe and solid sort of guy. I knew they were wrong when we bought them but every other shirt looked like a shirt he already had. So this time, I took photos on my iPhone that way when we went I could clearly see that the blue striped shirt in the store was very different from the blue striped shirt at home in the closet. He did branch out and get two green shirts.

Then we went to see It's Complicated. Very funny.

Maybe we will run out to have dinner later, if the boys can leave the bowl games!

Back to the Caribbean - today we are at Princess Cays, Bahamas. This is the private island that Princess owns.

Basically, it is a beach day - they have a bbq for you at lunch time and there are bands and little shacks where you can buy gifts.

This was also the day we took some of my mom's ashes and spread them in a private cove we found. It was really a special time for our family. Everyone took part and then we took some of the sand back with us to remember this day.

The last night at sea, we had Baked Alaska for dessert!

There was only four of us at the table, three of us got a slice each, and Chris got the rest!

This is massive!

It's gone!

So the next day we disembark, rent a car and drive over to Ft. Lauderdale beach to meet up with our friend Laura for lunch at Primanti Brothers! RF and her hubby go the original one in Pennsylvania. http://www.primantibros.com/

This one is open 24/7 right across the street from the beautiful beach.

What a AWESOME sandwich! We loved it! I need to visit the original eatery in PA one day.

The Ft. Lauderdale beach....wonderful!

Later that day we drove from the east coast of Florida to the west coast. We took a highway called "alligator alley" from Ft. Lauderdale to Ft. Myers.
We spent three days with our friends in Ft. Myers, relaxing and catching up on everything that has been going on in each others lives. We had the BEST Sunday dinner - BBQ rib eye steaks - they were so hospitable. We hated to leave our friends and Florida behind - but we know we will be back soon!
