I love the pictures of the covered bridge and the lake. We have a lot of covered bridges in the next county East of me. I think they're all so interesting. We also have a pizza place in an old covered bridge. It's aptly called the Covered Bridge Pizza Place.
Congrats on the Blackhawks Stanley Cup win.

Ok, so the "lake" we hit up first is just a little swampy pond in Baldwin, ME called Ingalls Pond. That wasn't in the plan, but since they complained like little children about me not ever stopping for them....I surprised them with a pit stop

And actually Hemlock Bridge wasn't in the plan either. I just thought of it as I was planning how to get from Point A to Point B that day. I wanted to surprise Mo with it as I figured it would be right up her alley photography wise. She likes old rustic things.

Wow Mo......I absolutely LOVE your pics. There are a couple I would definitely frame! And LOL....that one of D & I looking out the window! That was scary. You have to lean over really far to get to the widow inside! But it came out great!

I don't know if I am going to do a Pre Trip report. Right now I wouldn't have much to say. Legal approved our paperwork and we are waiting to hear from Disney, we probably won't hear from them for 2 weeks. EEEK that is going to be a long 2 weeks. DH is already worried about the taxes.

Oh Mo ~ You have captured some beautiful pics of Maine and NH. I know you went to the ledges I can't wait to see what you got there. Glad you guys had a good time. My husband and I were in Jackson NH that weekend for our anniversary. I was there just after you I kept looking for the three of you in case you went back to North Conway. Did you have fun at Zeb's? That is one of my must do's every time we're there. When I was little we went there every summer. Hope you have a good week and you were LUCKY getting tickets.

Mo... Those pictures all turned out incredible!!!! I am shocked (OK I am really not, it's you, after all) you were able to capture the bridge and all the surroundings so well.

I agree with Suzi... The pictures of us leaning out the window at the covered bridge were a bit scary to do. I am afraid of heights ya know? Lol

And the mosquitoes were crazy there too... Thanks to Suzi (the always prepared one out of all of us) we didn't get eaten alive. However, later in the trip, she may have regretted that decision. Lol

Jane... I so wish we could have met up with you. We did go back to North Conway for a little while on Saturday... Both Mo and I had to hit up the train station for souvenirs to bring home... Had I known I was going to have to carry her souvenir from there in my carry on the next day, I probably would have chosen something a little less awkward to carry... But I am getting ahead of myself.

Can't wait to hear more about our day... We had so much fun!

LOVING all the great pictures & stories! Ages ago we took pictures at a covered bridge also. Wish I could find those photos, but I am sure they are buried somewhere in my closet at my parent's house still.

Yes, I have been to Maine many, many times! My Mom & her family have been going since her & my Uncle were little. I've been going since I was 9 months old, only missing a few years for work. My Uncle & Aunt bought a house on the lake that started all of our love for the state, Green Lake. This house was meant to be in our family ~ it sits directly across the lake from the former camp ground where it all began for us!

I'm waiting to hear about your day with the Blackhawks yesterday. Did you ever get to see them? As you know, I work in the loop and it was absolutely crazy down there yesterday. There were people everywhere, going in all different directions.

I can see why you and D wanted to stop and see everything during your Maine trip. The area is gorgeous. I just love mountains and we rarely get a chance to see any. Your pictures are wonderful.
