There's no time to slumber we're going back in November! we came we saw and started a TR for it all!

I'm having the worst time convincing my laptop to quote so I'm giving up for the moment and just commenting straight-up.

This trip is our family of 5 for the first 8 days, then our family plus a family of 4 (DH's work friends).

The Carolina Homeschooler trip is just a big group who go at the same time to get homeschool ticket prices and the free included class. Our family homeschools, but you don't have to be homeschoolers to sign up for the trip, as long as you are going during the same time period. Saves a ton on ticket prices!

I don't know if the link is allowed, but if you google Carolina Homeschooler Disney 2015, you can get all the details. If you aren't doing a package to get something super discounted, you might want to consider the trip.

Resort Hopping (and Deluxes): When we realized, back just after the turn of the century (2001-2), that we were going to have at least a few kids, we sprung for DVC. We bought our points when Disney was selling them for $79/point. Now they're $169/point through Disney.....so we feel like we made out really well. We've already had over a decade of vacations on just the initial cost and our yearly dues, with many decades left.

DVC makes it pretty affordable to get rooms at the deluxe resorts. Cheaper per night for us than POP or AoA, even. And with that we get laundry and in the 1/2 bedrooms a full kitchen. We've got one kid with celiac, so we do some cooking even at Disney. Even just eating breakfast in the room half the time saves us hundreds of dollars.

I got those Poly nights at 8:00am...at 8:05am they were sold out again. It FELT like winning the lottery.

You're the 3rd person who says they don't enjoy the GF. It's one of the few resorts we haven't stayed at yet, so we were tempted. Now I'm starting to wonder if we'd rather do Bay Lake Towers (Contemporary) or Wilderness Lodge Villas. Any opinion on those?

Animal Kingdom Questions!

  1. When is the best time to do the safari?
  2. What are some MUST-Do's for all of you?
  3. where should we have our QS?
any other recommendations?!?!

I'm sorry did you say you wanted to see pictures from AK?
OK have to appease my audience!

Matt was SCARED to DEATH over stitch. I wasn't aware until we saw him again later in the trip at epcot He wouldn't go near him.. Now? He is his favorite character!!! got me...

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that picture of Joe and Tom. Poor Pocahontas! LOL!

Lol. Your Easter looks awesome.
I was mean and made my older 2 wait until 7am to wake us. I'm so mean!!! :smooth:

OMG, I got so far behind. I suck. BUT, I love all your plans so far! I'm glad your trying Garden Grill! It's one of our favorites! The food is good, characters great, and it's fun to watch the place spin.

I'm in love with Stevie. What a little monster, but I love him. He'd be welcome in our house, but our 17 lb. cat might try to eat him. And he's probably scare the bajeezus out of our pug, which would be hilarious.

I can't believe your AK day is predicted as a 1! A 1!!!!! That's awesome. Maybe in NOvember too, it won't be like THE hottest place in the universe.

Your Easter pics are great, but I couldnt' see the egg dyeing ones for some reason. Great baskets! LOVE Stitch and Angel. Egg wars. Fun!

And I love your throwback pics from 2010. They were so little! You know I love that kind of thing, but stop growing so fast!

Ha! Love the egg wars :) Might be a reason to start coloring eggs. Maybe....

Love Meg's cute purse!

I have to say your family is a riot...y'all have so much fun..we don't color eggs anymore, just use the plastic ones..

I enjoyed the egg wars so much! What a fun thing to do...
Lynn

What a fun Easter tradition! I love it, something a little different makes it even more special.

I love your plans for this MK day...you know my undying love for Crystal Palace, Tigger and puffed french toast. And then to come back in the evening for the party? PERFECT! We've done that party twice now and although we won't do it again, I'm so glad we got to see the awesome parade and Holiday Wishes.

Loved the Easter pictures and your family Easter Wars.

I'm slowly getting caught up….again! I just showed Dan the video (can't believe you really posted it here!!) and he said I looked mad. I wasn't, I just thought he was right behind me and was shocked to see he was nowhere in sight! What a hoot!

I love Crystal Palace! Not so much for the food, but it is so beautiful and the characters are so fun. We usually have lunch or supper there, have never done breakfast. We did get some cool "almost empty" photos when we did the Keys to the Kingdom tour. You will love it! Especially with Eeyore!

Love the Easter pics! Never heard of egg wars. Somehow, it just fits for you guys…I'll have to try it next year with the grandkids. Looks like a ton of fun. I love the pic of Tom all pouting. And it's so great that your munchkins still believe.

I don't think you have to worry about a good server at the 50's. Your family radiates fun vibes and I'm sure they will pick up on that. I hope you have tons of fun there and enjoy the food. I love it!

Well, while I was busy getting my parents settled at their assisted living facility, finishing emptying the contents of their home and finishing up our condo rehab and getting it on the market….wait for it….our Disney trip crept up on me. Can you believe we leave in 4 days????!!!! Yes, I said 4. I JUST started packing yesterday. Good thing this isn't our first rodeo or we'd be in deep trouble. But now that all the drama and emotion of the last few months is over, I am so ready to take Miles for his first trip to Disney. It will be a short trip. Only 5 days since Jennifer doesn't want to have him out of school more than 3 days. But we'll pack a lot into those days and have plenty of pool time too. He won't go on a lot of the rides, so it will be a different trip than we're used to, but I'm sure so much fun anyway.

I'll try to be more faithful in stopping by. I miss my friends!!! Have a great week!

Your Easter post cracked me up! Especially, the EGG WARS! Every time I saw a photo of the carnage (the pile of egg guts), I died laughing. How hilarious!

Hi everyone remember me?!?!

I love the pink stitch, but have no idea what her name is and it's driving me nuts! Her tsum tsum purse!!!!! Love it. I saw some fabric with tsum tsum a on it that was adorable. I'm trying not to buy it cuz I don't know what I'd make. Still--I hear it calling my name....

Her name is Angel! Ohh the possibilities are endless with the fabric!!! I think i might go buy it.. and you know my feelings on sewing! HA HA

Your egg war is too funny! And way more creative them our making of the 5,000 deviled eggs, egg salad sandwiches, eggs in salads.....

:crazy2: Nope. we kill the eggs. I am allergic to eggs so this is fitting! HA HA!

I'm having the worst time convincing my laptop to quote so I'm giving up for the moment and just commenting straight-up.

Don't even get me started about laptops! I have to take mine in today to a friend. My CD drive is kaput. i worked on it ALL day friday.. NOTHING.

This trip is our family of 5 for the first 8 days, then our family plus a family of 4 (DH's work friends).

Which just made it a whole lot more fun!!! Good times spending it with friends!

The Carolina Homeschooler trip is just a big group who go at the same time to get homeschool ticket prices and the free included class. Our family homeschools, but you don't have to be homeschoolers to sign up for the trip, as long as you are going during the same time period. Saves a ton on ticket prices!

This is interesting.. I would love to know some of the "homework" you do during the trip? I would love for the kids to do something while there and bring back to class?!?!

I don't know if the link is allowed, but if you google Carolina Homeschooler Disney 2015, you can get all the details. If you aren't doing a package to get something super discounted, you might want to consider the trip.

Na. i am interested in what they are.. only because i am nosey! LOL

WOW! good Job on getting in there!!! wish we would have done this!

DVC makes it pretty affordable to get rooms at the deluxe resorts. Cheaper per night for us than POP or AoA, even. And with that we get laundry and in the 1/2 bedrooms a full kitchen. I agree with eating breakfast in the rooms.. The kids do this and works out GREAT for us!

I got those Poly nights at 8:00am...at 8:05am they were sold out again. It FELT like winning the lottery.

YOU DID!!! I cannot wait to hear how you liked them!!!!

I am NOT a fan of GF too stuffy for me and my crazy family we just don't feel comfortable there.. I would go to BLT in a heartbeat for the views. plus it's a short walk over to MK!

Me too.. I keep doing flashbacks from our 11 trip.. since it's about the same time we are going this year! remember having to take a pic after this just so it didn't feel so creepy?!?!?

Lol. Your Easter looks awesome.
I was mean and made my older 2 wait until 7am to wake us. I'm so mean!!! :smooth:

Na.. I would have done that too IF i was home when they went to bed..

OMG, I got so far behind. I suck. BUT, I love all your plans so far! I'm glad your trying Garden Grill! It's one of our favorites! The food is good, characters great, and it's fun to watch the place spin.

Ha! i missed you! glad you came back!!! yes spinning restaurants are FUN! I am looking forward to this.. Something NEW!

I'm in love with Stevie. What a little monster, but I love him. He'd be welcome in our house, but our 17 lb. cat might try to eat him. And he's probably scare the bajeezus out of our pug, which would be hilarious.

Stevie.. Yes.. What to say about this ferret... well it isn't Dis appropriate! LOL
No cats.. He is a character but i can't have him eaten either! HA! He is a LOT of fun I think i have to Video him in a bathtub. THAT is fun stuff...

I can't believe your AK day is predicted as a 1! A 1!!!!! That's awesome. Maybe in NOvember too, it won't be like THE hottest place in the universe.

I always thought that of the GF too, but last summer we stayed there....were forced to because of the construction at our beloved Poly....and it really didn't feel stuffy at all. It is a gorgeous resort with so much to do. The rooms were beautiful and the pool (eventhe quiet pool) was amazing. We had a little trouble with a couple CM that were less than magical, but that happens everywhere. I say go for it sometime. At least once. You never know until you stay and have your own experience.

Hi everyone remember me?!?!!

Who are you???

It's monday.. Can you believe it's Monday already?!?! BLAH. the only way i can get through these is if i keep telling myself it's a monday closer to Disney.

Friday i called off of work to take the midgets somewhere. Every spring break we do something zoo whatever. This year they picked a mall...

yeah.

so i figured on taking them to Gurnee Mills - it's a huge outlet mall. Thursday Zack had a bad belly but at night said he was much better, Friday- back to having a bad belly. We stayed home. I worked on my laptop the CD drive isn't reading disks. i did it all, total overhaul of my laptop. then it was time for the kids sports pizza party. Played with them for a couple of hours, then had to run to dog training it was the first Beginner's class.
That sucked. I have a horrible person in my class big jerky person.. found out i was not wrong and her friend even emailed the clubs board explaining that she is a big bad jerk. OK this is going to be a LOOOOOOOOOOONG 10 weeks.
Saturday- had to work job 2 at 8:30am.. that's too early.. for a Saturday. came home everyone wanted to do the mall.. Ok fine. we left it's across the entire city and close to the Wisconsin border.
it took forever to get there! once we finally got there parked and walked in Meg got sick.
we went to a couple stores and had to leave...
We did get a stop into the Disney Store.. yes a Disney outlet store.. and ya know what? I bought WAY TOO MUCH! sweatshirts- tee shirts- tsums tsums- Duffy pillow pets- cups- and and oh i'll make you wait for it.. na na na na we went a little crazy. I didn't even spend 100.00 can you believe it! :hyper:

made it home in no time at all NO TRAFFIC! YAY!
Had to work job 2 again this time at 9:30.. Told the kids our disney day would be a movie night. onc ei got home we ordered from the local GYRO place and watched:
Lady and the tramp and Hercules! LOVE them!!!
it was an early night they had to go back to school today :cheer2:

OK here is CREAM del la cream

WE FOUND Zack's donut!!! i was SO bummed last trip we didn't buy it.. and here it was sitting and waiting for us at the outlet store!!! needless to say the outlet Disney store is a favorite of mine now..

I had to go to job 1 :crazy2: this morning.
But we did see this which we thought was the funniest thing EVER...

yeah... it's monday... this is one of the skylights in the garage.. we were DYING!

tonight i need to order a NEW CD drive for my laptop... mine is dead... D.E.A.D dead.. :badpc:

I am down to 36 days until ADR day.. and i have 215 more days until Disney - yuck.

:teacher:People are REALLY talking me into a disney cruise :hyper2: :chat:.. 2016 sounds good right?!?!

i think tonight is going to be either more Disney movies... OR our Vacation Movies.. I need a Disney fix!

You never know until you stay and have your own experience.

you have more class then we do... :rolleyes1

Who are you???

here's a picture to remind you..

Oh wait...

That's you... :rotfl2:
