I know some of you have been waiting for one. :cheer2:

168770 expires 10/3. Takes 10% off orders.

Not like they're giving much time to save a few bucks but it might help offset shipping...

Of COURSE there is a code...I placed my order last weekend :lmao:

No way more sure to guarantee a sale or coupon than for me to place a huge order somewhere. Just let me know when y'all would like another one and I'll order somethin' else LOL

:lmao: don't worry, us too! Ours arrived last week and it was a big one. I jumped as soon as I saw felicity's tea set back in stock and ordered three of everything we didn't already have to be sure there was one for DD9, DGD9... and one for me! Ten percent of that one would have been sweet. :guilty:

Of course, we still don't own the camper or the treehouse yet, and both will be gone soon too, but sadly they're not in the budget before the holidays unless something major changes....:sad2:

I totally feel your pain.....I just got the camper last week! Was too afraid to wait for a code or sale......it was already backordered. Wasn't supposed to ship until 10/15 but it came last week.

I want to order Felicity and two of her outfits and put them away for dd for her birthday or Easter....b/c I already have Lanie for her and the camper for Christmas. But I have three sons to buy Christmas gifts for before I start on Easter for dd! But I didn't expect them to retire Felicity and we love her and the Revolutionary war era so she is a must have.

Why do you think the treehouse will be gone soon? Do you guys know something I don't? LOL!

I was planning on going to the AG Outlet next weekend.....now I have to decide if I go with the 10% off or just try my luck at the Outlet. DD is still young enough where she is just happy with whatever she gets....HMMMM.

since there's a code i'm going to finish my christmas shopping tonight :lmao: Here's my question ... DD is getting Julie for Christmas. She's getting the one from QVC with the bike, extra outfit, and I don't know what else. I'm also going to get her the Meet Julie book and the doll/girl matching pjs. Would you get Julie's bed? Or another accessory/piece of furniture? DD has been waiting to turn 7 since she was 3 so she could get her real American Girl (we got her a my Disney Girl - actually "Mickey" sent it after a trip to WDW with a note saying she had to practice taking good care of this doll so she could get her American Girl when she's 7) so she knows it's an American Girl Christmas and there won't be a whole lot under the tree :rolleyes1

I'm pretty sure the QVC set came with the Meet Julie book, so check on that before you buy it. Also, I'd get the bed if you can splurge; it's very nice and I like the bedding. My dad made my DD three AG doll beds, and they are nice to have to lay down the doll at night.

Also, my DD has Julie's PJs and the matching ones for her. They are lovely (although the girls pair pills a little). I just saw them at a church flea market in the same size small we already have (I wanted to buy them again, but DH said that was silly).

My DD is just 5, but she takes great care of her AG dolls. We even won one at the AG Fashion Show earlier this year. She needs help with the hair, but it great with them otherwise. Tonight, she was drawing pictures of each one in their meet outfits--too cute!

Enjoy!

We have Julie's bed and DD9 loves it. Side by side, it's slightly bigger than her Felicity bed (we have that too) and much more sturdy IMO. The beads are cute too but, I have to confess that - having graduated & married in the 70s - I can't help but be mortified that my teen/early married years have suddenly become a "historical period".

Anyway, another thing that's nice is that Julie's mattress is patterned instead of white. To my knowledge, that's the only AG bed so far with a colored or patterned mattress. I'm hoping it's not likely to show dirt as easily over time.

We have two of those (one for each 9yr old) and are downsizing to eventually put the house on the market so if you're near MD keep an eye on Craigslist or pm me if a preowned one would do. That's one of the things I decided they could start sharing and we could live with only one of...

The outlet in WI? Do you live near there? We vacationed in WI this summer and were driving down from Green Bay when I spied the billboard. DD and I both started screaming "American Girl! American Girl! Get off at that exit!!" my 11 yo DS was rolling his eyes and pretending to gag but I'm pretty sure DH had to go change his underwear when we finally got to the outlet. He said he first thought he had hit someone from all the screaming going on :rotfl:

I  that place. I'm seriously considering planning another Northern vacay just to go back LOL We've been to the Chicago store and, while the outlet was no "store" experience, we RACKED UP! I got DD clothes, a Samantha gown to match her doll's, a pet set (that I got for $6 but still retails for something like $18), a (ugly) doll's rock star outfit that I've never seen before or since but DD is :cloud9: when her friends come over and see it. Other odds and ends as well. If you live close order now, do the outlet later ... but if you are just passing through - stop, stop, STOP at the outlet (it is so worth it!)

Lol, add me to the list of "as soon as I press enter on my order, the sale will begin" group. I am really tempted to get one big item. What do you guys think - Felicity bed or the table and chairs?

Yes, anytime the radio has "classic" weekends and they pay music from my youth (late 70s/early80s) I'm like "How can that be classic? I'm not THAT old!!" :rotfl:

I didn't want to take stuff out of the box (you know you can never get it all back in again :rotfl:) but I'm going to have to see to see if the book is in there because of course Julie is sold out on QVC so I can't read the listing on there anymore.

I will probably get the bed. I'm still undecided LOL She has a nice doll bed from Ikea that she uses for her My Disney Girl and My Generation dolls but I thought her first real AG should have something special to sleep in

Out of the two, I like Felicity's table & chairs much better. I think also, that because many have broken over the years, that may be the one which ends up as harder to find in good condition on the secondary market in a few years. They've already revised it and eliminated the pie-crust trim on the table's top and a table with pie-crust edging sold for .

If I didn't already have it, the table and tea set would be a must - if only because that was such a big part of everyday Colonial life and is mentioned more in the stories. Besides that though, the chairs are so elegant looking that I can easily imagine them as heirlooms if well cared for over the years...

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you :cool1:

I was going to place my order last week, but I just couldn't pay S & H and sales tax, so now with the 10% off, it's like I got S & H for Free, an additional $5 off and I shipped it to my parents in CT, so avoided sales tax too.....:rotfl:

Santa did very good today!!!

^ Good idea on avoiding the tax! I don't think I'll be able to take advantage of this code since it expires so soon, but hopefully there will be another before Christmas. We want to get DD a Bitty Baby and I could have it sent to my mom's in MD since we'll be at her house on Christmas morning anyway.
