The thing that really is obnoxious about the whole thing, is the fact that customers like that blame the waitress for everything (I was a waitress for a couple of years)

Let me let you in on a secret... THE WAITRESS DID NOT MAKE THE CRABCAKES!

dbogen, my DH doesn't like a big deal made out of his birthday...it was a struggle to get him to go to dinner, so I don't know what The Smithy would do if the birthday person actually allowed you to tell the restaurant that there was a birthday!

Thanks for all the good wished for DH.

I just hate rudeness, and I hate that attitude that some folks have that because someone is in a service job that they are somehow beneath the rest of us.

Money doesn't buy class, that's for sure!

Working in a bar, i have seen my share of drunk people and they act like that all the time. One actually burped in my face instead of saying yes or yup or even yeah.
