There now? How are the Crowds?

Anyone there this week? How are the crowds? Does Mardi Gras being this week have any effect on the crowds? What are mid day wait times?

DH was there a couple days ago (Epcot and AK) and the crowds are insane! We're local, so he joined a friend at Epcot at 11 a.m. and all the Soarin' fastpasses were gone, plus Test Track FPs were a return time of 8 p.m. They went to AK, which was pretty much just as bad.

What about this week. I know a lot of people from New Orleans go to WDW instead of Mardi Gras (which is tomorrow) I was wondering if the crowd level reflected that.

DH and I were at MK on Sunday and it was crazy busy. We are local and I am used to February being really nice and crowd free, but not any more! The wait time for Peter Pan was 60 minutes. We didn't try to ride many things because it was too crowded. I really don't know why!

We were there all last week and it was very crowded in all parks, both the Presidents Weekend and during the week. At one point in Epcot we saw a 45 minute wait for Spaceship Earth and they had a huge line for Rio Tempo with them mouse mazing all in front of San Angel Inn and up through the plaza.

Saturday we thought the crowds were just slightly smaller, but probably many were returning home that day after being there all week.

It will be as crowded as what your perspective is. If you have been there during the most busy times like myself then Feb (except presidents week) is not that crowded at all. If it is your first time then it may seem crowded anytime you go.

People seem to ask this question a lot and everyone always has completely different ideas of what crowded is.

Soarin is always a popular attraction and the FP's go fast all the time. Peter Pan has always had a 45-60 minute practically everytime I have been there.

What I have learned over the years: Don't trust anyone to tell you how busy it is going to be when your there. There are better times to go than others. Book your trip and don't arrive thinking your going to walk on everything.

Yesterday we were in Epcot and today at the Studios. Epcot didn't seem too bad compared to last year, maybe a little busier. The Studios seemed busy today, but then last year there wasn't the crazy Toy Story Mania March!
I can tell you how that was anyway as a frame of reference. We got right to TSM right at rope drop (I definitely need to get in better shape for that next year, carrying my 30 pound toddler and my mom pushing the 5 year old in the stroller with DH walking ahead to get in the FP line), DH got FPs and we waited for him before jumping into line. That seemed to work out for the best since when we got out of TSM the fastpasses were already to about 1:30 return times (at 9:38) and when we returned later at 3:15 to use our FPs the wait was at 110 minutes and the FPs had been gone since about 11 or so.
LOVE TSM by the way! Definitely my favorite ride!

We didn't have much wait time for anything today though, but that was from our touring plans and all the help we've received on here! We did everything we wanted to too and TSM twice. The only one that we waited 20 minutes for was The Great Movie Ride (which I'd never experienced before and never will again! But glad I saw it).
SCI-FI was fantastic too by the way! Better then Chef Mickey's last night! And that was pretty good too!

We were at MK yesterday & it was very busy. We were there twice last week and I think yesterday was busier than either day last week. We thought the crowds would have died down after President's Day week but that certainly did not seem to be the case. HS on Sunday was also very busy. Epcot on Sat was good until about noon, then it got crazy busy. As always, I think the BEST advice is just to get to any park at rope drop.

We were at Downtown Disney last week on Thursday evening and it was like Summer! Packed wall to wall on the sidewalks. The first 2 parking lots were closed already. They Lego area had kids everywhere. My 12 yr old said it was a "human petri dish, a sea of germs" lol
Lots of sneezing little kids. We got a pretzel and enjoyed the breeze. But usually we'd be alone down there this time of year.

I am here now and it is pretty crowded ay DHS right now. TSM fastpasses were gone by 10:20 RR by 4:30. Waits for the big ones have been at least 45 min all day.

we were at mk today and did not think it was bad at all ( was much busier sat-tues). We were there at rd rode space 2x, buzz, pp, philharmagic, hm, poc, btmrr 4x, splash, saw the fairies (@tt rd)' monsters Inc and ate lunch at LTT - we were on the bus by 4pm. And the weather was perfect. We did have a great touring plan (thx tgm!) and had a great day - never waited more than ten min.

The crowds are ridiculous!!! We come every Feb and its never been this busy. I can tell you that it seems that 6 out of 10 people are wearing some type of LSU gear, and someone said that Louisiana leaves to get away and celebrate Mardi Gras here!

Next week should be better. The weather is fabulous though!

We went to DHS yesterday; it seemed quite busy, and above average attendance, although not "packed".

Went to Epcot today, and thought the attendance was light. We got our fastpasses for Soarin'; when we rode at about 11am the standby line was at 60 minutes. Otherwise, the longest line we waited in was in France for pastries.

Hopefully it would be better next week, my friends are having a trip. Hope they will have a great time and fun.
