There now? Bag or cargo shorts for fastest entry?

Here now, going bag less. I didn't think the bag line was that much slower, but then again, we usually come in around 10am. There is definitely a higher percentage of going through the metal detector on the bag less entry. No big deal though. Just put phone and hydro flask in small platter, done.

Cargo shorts. I was pulled once to go through the random check last week, but otherwise much quicker when I was there.

Isn't a lanyard w/ a pouch for cards/cash considered a bag? I thought about something like that but figured it's still a bag that would have to be checked. :confused3

I use the Vera Bradley lanyard & case. It's very small, 3x5 I think; it just holds an ID, a credit card, and some cash. I've never been stopped or checked. I have seen people with larger camera case style pouches around there necks get stopped however. As long as you stick with something small I think you should be fine.

You have been lucky. I've seen them make guests with very small bags go thru bag check, when they have tried to go thru the no bag line.

Was there yesterday. Decided to just use cargo shorts going into MK. No problem, and not chosen for metal detector

This week the guards announced to arriving guests that EVERYONE needed to unzip and open all pockets before approaching bag check.

Some of the guards were suggesting that folks unzip their bags when we went last March. After watching the guards having to unzip people's bags in front of me, I unzipped my own bag and I never spent more than 10 seconds having my bag checked.

This is what I do as well. In December 2015 I can remember guards politely asking the waiting line to have their bags unzipped and ready so as to be more efficient. I tend to wear a fanny pack-type bag that has two individual pockets as well as a flat zipped back pocket and I would take it off and have it all opened up and would fly through bag check in probably 10-15 seconds as well, if that. I just have always been opening my zips as long as I can remember as I always figured it was simply more efficient time-wise.

I was there last week (June 18 - June 23). My husband went through the no bags line with his cargo shorts and was chosen every time to go through the metal detector which was no big deal to him.

My Daughter and I went through the bags line - those moved fairly quickly as long as you kept an eye open and avoided the line with the person who had alot of bags and a stroller. I put everything in my pockets into the bag before bag check so when I was chosen to go through the metal detector, it was fast. I was chosen about 50% of the time after and my 16 year old daughter was never chosen.

I've got a small neck case similar to this and was told to go into the bag check line the one evening I went into the park with just that. The bag check guy opened the little zipper pocket and let me go after seeing it just held cash and cards.

Question for those no bag people going through metal detectors...are you told to empty your pockets or just metal items. When we were there in May we were only told to take out metal items....DH never took out plastic ponchos or wallet. I had this key ring type thing that my camera hooks to on a belt loop , while I was attempting to take it off, they told me not to bother.

I use a clear lanyard that holds cards and cash, perhaps that's the difference between if it's a bag or not.

Went through "no bag" line at Epcot today ... They were specifically listing items with metal.

I left my wallet, sunscreen, and folded up string bag in my pockets going through the detector with no issue.
