Newbie here but wanted to post to make other newbies have some hope for ADR's less than 180 days out. Let me preface by saying we are not going in a super busy season, there are only two of us and while I think we picked great TS reservations, they are not top 10, in the parks or character so you would probably have a harder time in another situation!

BUT...I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to book all 5 of our ADR's for our August trip on the day and time that we wanted! SWEET!

Opinions are welcome, DH and I both love good food but he is not extremely adventurous eater so I tried to keep it tamer for him.

Monday

We did Whispering Canyon on our last trip - my husband isn't an adventurous eater either and the skillet was his fave. We're trying Cap'n Jacks when we go down for free dining - I hope it's good!!!
Have fun!

:welcome: to the DIS! You have picked some good restaurants. I think that the trick to ADRs is to be flexible with your times/restaurants. One word of advice, though. Don't overeat at 'Ohana or you won't enjoy your morning character breakfast. (ask me how I know! :lmao: )

Great for you that you got all of them!! :goodvibes I made the same experience last year making ADRs for February. With regard to your restaurant choices, they all sound great. However, I can also recommend Wolfgang Puck for a DTD restaurant. We had a great meal there!

Today I called to get & ADR @CG for 9/1/07 and was able to get it. We booked this trip for the free dining just recently (way past the 180 days) and have been able to get what we wanted.

I absolutely agree with Debbie - we were very flexable with the time of our reservations!

I just made ADRs for the first week of June!!! I got everything I wanted except for Le Cellier. Of course, I wasn't booking character meals or anything super popular, but still, it's only 2 weeks away :scared1: . I have a mix of old faves and places we've never tried: LTT (lunch), Jiko, Boma, Chefs de France, Brown Derby & Concourse Steakhouse. :cheer2: Can't wait!
