There is help for the wrongfully ban

This afternoon at about 3:30 pm eastern time I was ban!! I never thought I would say that bc I try very hard to be fair and considerate of others and follow vmk values to the best of my ability.. To make a long story short I was with a friend of mine today who told me he was upset.. I asked him what was wrong if I could help somehow even if it was just to listen.. He told me he would but he was afraid he would be ban.. I thought that to be rather odd so I told him as long as he doesn't tell me anything like how "hold" he is or where he lives or stuff like that its fine.. I said if its something like your dad is ill or your cat got run over by a car or even if he was upset bc he couldn't go to the lake, as long as he didn't tell me which lake it would be fine.. I continued with vmk just wants us to be safe bc you don't know "on" of us could be a "stocker".. Within moments boom, poof I was dc with a little window telling me I was ban for 24 bc I gave out personal information and was making vmk unsafe... Omg I was so bugged!! Of course like a ding bat I tried to log back on with no success.. I even tried to log on my alternative account and that was also ban.. I immediately went to contact us now and wrote to vmk.. I explained to them what took place in the conversation and that even tho it was just a 24 hour ban, 24 hours could mean an forever to a kid.. I asked them to please review the conversation and lift the ban..

Needless to say I had my ban lifted at 9:26 pm eastern time!!

All I have to say is Thank you VMK_Shorty you are my hero!!

So fellow VMK players there is hope.. There really is someone who reads your letters and I believe that if you include enough information and if you are truly wrongfully ban they will fix it..

Even though I don't play as much as I used too, I do read the disboards and all the various ban threads. It was good that your ban was lifted so soon.

I think you were probably banned caused of the sheer number of dictionary dancing words and their potential uses. A precautionary measure on the part of vmk. But once word of how the actual situation was then they knew that you were not personally giving out info.

At least this gives hope for people who are truly wrongfully banned.

Wow close call huh Bear? It does pay to write vmk when this happens. Vmk_Shorty cleared my ban to a few months ago. I guess thats why it pays not to stand to close to other players on vmk.....when that white glove reaches in the game it can grab you by mistake. lol
