If any of you are interested, check out www.1001st.com which is the website for my BIL's unit. It is cool to see, esp. some of the "critters" they've seen--4 inch long spiders!
He EMailed SIL and is fine, but today it was 105.

What a neat website. Saw the spider...eewwww! DD's school is collecting wish list items and one of the items listed is flea collars, so the soldiers can put them around their ankles. I can't even imagine all the little critters in that desert sand.
