Twas the night before Disney and all through the house,
All the creatures were stirring even my spouse.
The luggage was packed and tucked away.
Ready for the ride and the fun on the way.

The bands were all packed and the accounts all linked.
We had a blue one, a red and and even one that was pinked.
The FastPaases have been plussed. The MDE all synched.
Nothing left to do but....Ride. Eat. And Drink!

That was wonderful! Have a great trip.

a couple of quick congratulations:

Nannette that is great news about your coop. One step closer to your daughter.

Scott congrats on welcoming Sheldon into your home. I haven't been over to look at pictures yet. I love cats.

Flying to big island this afternoon. Tomorrow (Friday) is an all day tour. Helicopter flight over volcanoes then land based tour of volcano national park then helicopter back over the island for sightseeing.

We get back from that around 6 or 7 pm then our flight home leaves at 11 pm. We expect to be home around 7 pm Saturday EST.

Aloha--don't forget the Lava tube at the park--it is amazing. If the power is off (it happens frequently), just wait and it will be back on so that you can go through the tube. Safe travels home!

Perfect!!!!

Thanks for the smile!! I just emailed it to my inlaws, who are joining us in next week's trip.

Nettie - Just saw your cakes on the cake thread and can I just say- OMG!!!!

You have truly outdone yourself! All your hard work planning certainly paid off. I can't think of a more magical trip.

Teena - sounds like you definitely had a "Grand Adventure". This has been quite a whirlwind trip. You must be exhausted (but a "good" exhausted).
Great way to finish up your visit. I know how much you love TL!

Dee - safe travels!

MickeyT - What can I say but "wow". Love, love, love it!

Dee: safe travels home

Made a slight change to our October trip. We will now be staying at CR CL 10/18-10/19, then over to the YC CL from 10/19-10/23. DH has always wanted to stay at the CR, so I'm surprising him on the first night. Very excited to try a new resort :)!

We're here at the GF ..our last night. The dining plan plus club level is way too much food!!!! Never again with both!! Saturday wellness take Lily to animal kingdom and then its work for me Sunday and Monday. Tuesday is Typhoon Lagoon and they leave Wednesday. What a super time we have had and Nettie's party was the highlight ..except for Captain Jack .. We finally found a Disney character she is not fond of!!

I don't blame her! Captain Jack can be a little creepy looking to kids!

Love the GF. That was our honeymoon resort 1,000 years ago :)

Enjoy the rest of your time with your two best girls!!!!

Jay

You will get a letter on your door a day or 2 before your departure with exact pick up time, and a phone # to call to pay your luggage fees for your flights if applicable.
Be sure you get to airline desk at resort to check bags and get checked in for flights and boarding pass before 1:00. They close at 1:00.[/QUOTE]

Thank you!

The notice left under your door the night before departure will state your exact departure time on ME, which is always a minimum of 3 hours, prior to your flight's scheduled departure. As mentioned, if you are checking in for your flight, picking up your boarding passes, and checking bag(s) for your flight, arrive no later than about 12:50 p.m. at the resort's airline check-in desk, which is located in front of the resort, just to the right of the front entry, as walking out. This is a great service. Make sure you bring along your official I.D.s, as well as the departure letter left at your room. If you will be changing clothes or freshening up, after a day at the parks, remember to place your change of clothes (or anything else you'll need for your trip home) in a carry-on, which can be checked with bag services or with a cast member valet at the podium in front of the resort. Just like checking your bags at airport curbside, it's appropriate to tip the person checking you in and accepting your checked bags at the outdoor podium.

The ME can arrive as early as ten minutes, prior to your scheduled departure, so start keeping an eye out earlier than the departure time listed; they depart the resort very promptly. The ME driver will collect your departure notice, when you board his/her bus, so be sure to have it ready when you board.

We have found the ME to be one of those perks that makes it worth the extra cost to stay at a Disney resort.

When you arrive at the airport, you will be dropped either at Terminal A or B; the driver usually makes an announcement, by airline. You may think that you arrive really early for your flight, but the time will give you a chance to grab something to eat and clear security, then proceed to your departure gate, and find a place at the gate to relax, prior to your flight.

Have a great time. You will enjoy staying at the BC. Oh, and if you do leave carry-on bags with the resort, during the day, don't forget to pick them up, before you board the ME. :)

Perfect, thanks for all of the info! Yes, I hope not to forget any of the bags or the children!!! Do you think 5-6pm is probably a good guesstimate for ME pick up time for a 9:30 flight?

Welcome to the family Emilyswish.... I will add you to the list and Dee will update when she returns.

Thank you so much! I believe we are already on the list. I appreciate it! :thumbsup2

Can we get celebration buttons at the the check-in desk when we arrive or do you get those at the parks? DH and I are celebrating our 15th anniversary and our triplets are turning 7 just before we arrive! :cool1: Thanks!

We're home. Unpacked. Now a little rest and wash before heading to DAK tomorrow for a short day.

Looking forward to getting back to my lobby Sunday and Monday.

And guess what ... we booked a Disney Fantasy cruise for September 20th.

57 days away from our stay at AKL and I can't help but wish we were returning to BC..just wasn't in my sisters budget though. That's ok! We have plans to be back in May as our family :) I heard there was going to be refurbs happening and I will go back and read a bit, but does anyone know if these refurbs will be done by May? We were hoping to do Yacht Club to be "different" :rotfl2: but hoping to avoid construction. Will it affect SAB?

Glad to hear it was a great trip. Great food! And it seems like Lily had a blast.

I have cruised with my kids (10 and 7) on Carnival a few times and they really like it. The Disney cruise is so much more expensive. Is it worth it?

Just starting to plan my March 2015 return to WDW. We were at BCV last march and had such a blast we have to go back. My parents may join us for a few days too. Do you know if any of the studios are adjoining rooms?

Can't wait to start booking,

Once you cruise Disney, you'll never go back to Carnival or Norwegian ... whole different class. It's like comparing staying at Allstars (which is fine) versus staying club level at the Grand Floridian. Disney is closer to Royal Caribbean or Celebrity.

Disney is in a class by itself. You can take on all the alcohol you want as long as it fits into a carry-on sized bag which I can fit in two cases of beer, a bunch of bottles of water, a liter of vodka and bourbon. They don't push drinks to make money. Sodas are free up on the pool deck all the time. We take our refillable mugs from resort stays ... drinks stay cooler longer. The entertainment is like going to a Broadway show every night. They also run first run current Disney movies. In other words, if a Disney movie like Avengers opens in theaters on land on Friday, at midnight Thursday night, they start showing it on the ship. Amazing! Food is super ... like you pay in the specialty restaurants on Norwegian and Carnival. And if you are lucky enough to do a Caribbean or Bahamas cruise and you go to Castaway Cay, Disney's private island blows the other private cruise line islands out of the water. The adult beach also has it's own BBQ area for lunch and serves stuff that isn't at the family BBQ (like steak). This will be our third Disney 7 night cruise just in 2014 ... we love them and we don't go with children. Especially on the 7 night cruises, the adult only pool areas and entertainment is super!

It will probably be between 6:00-6:30 that evening.

First of all, call and have them add your special celebrations to your reservation. Yes, they will give you buttons when you check in - especially if they see the note in your reservation. If the CM forgets, just ask--they will personalize each one for you, as you wait.

Happy Birthday 3x and Happy Anniversary. What a great way to celebrate!

I hope you have a great time on your cruise. :boat: We will be checking out of the YC on Sunday, Sept 28th. Will you be back at work by then so we can drop by and say hello?

There aren't any adjoining studios at the BCV's. :(

Hi Teena. What kind of carry-on do you have haha ??!! I'm impressed! If I ever go on a Disney cruise, I will consult with you :) I've only been on one cruise - 9 night cruise out of NJ to Bermuda, St Maarten, St Thomas, and San Juan with Royal Caribbean. It was in July and it was wonderful!!

Enjoyed following along on your 'Grand' vacation!

:offtopic: this will be our first time using the magicbands. If I book 2fastpasses in advance (say for tower of terror), I don't do this ride but DH does. After he uses his FP for this ride can he take my band and us it to go on the ride again with my FP?

I've heard that the CM's will allow it. :thumbsup2

We've swapped Magic Bands quite a few times between the family members. :thumbsup2
