ScottMC, I love that room! :worship:

I want Market Basket back to normal soon. pixiedust:

To all at BC/YC, Have a magical day! :tinker:

Well, we are booked for January. Just changed the reservation from October to January 12-16 still at BC. They didn't have any Pool/Lagoon rooms available for the time but I will keep checking. And found out that even though he is over in Afghanistan as a military contractor, as long as he has a CAC (Common Access Card) he qualifies for the Military Discount!

Now, just the long wait for DH to come home and to get back to WDW :)

So excited to receive our magic bands today! Now I need to start reading this thread a little more so I can figure out what kind of room request to make. We only booked standard.

I know this question has been asked somewhere in these pages. When they finish the refurb at the BC are they moving on to the YC?

Want to start planning for next years vacation- not sure if BC or YC, depends on the refurb.

Yes, I believe that the plan is to move on to the YC as soon as the BC refurb is finished. Still not sure of the timetable of the work at the BC. I do my best to keep the very first post of this thread updated with refurb news so people don't have to search through this massive thread. I haven't made any updates to the info listed there recently, because, there hasn't been any new news.

:thumbsup2

I have you on the Jan list, I will add the specific dates.

:goodvibes

Has the outdoor movie schedule for Sept for BC been released yet?

The new month is usually released around the 1st-3rd of the month.

Correct, the activities schedule for that month is released around the first day of that month. So September movies/activities will be available in early September. I post the schedules here as soon as I get it from my "supplier"

:)

That is exciting news!

The requests you should consider depend on what is important to your family. Upper floor? First floor? Close to lobby/transportation/pools. Quiet location? Daybed?

There is a section about room requests in the FAQ post (Post 13) on Page 1 of this thread.

:)

They call the one near us "Mental Basket" because it's like a nut house there. Lots and lots of crazies in one place at the same time!

Thanks so much! :)

Can I call reservations to get my FP's added to my account or is this something I have to do online?
Thought it might be quicker if reservations made the initial FP's.

What is Market Basket? :confused3

I have to apologize for starting the offtopic chatter.

Market Basket is a northern New England grocery chain with much lower prices than the local alternatives. They are owned by the Demoulas family and there has been some family dysfunction resulting in a strike by employees loyal to the CEO who was just ousted and boycotts by customers. Although the boycotts are a moot point because nothing is getting stocked so people aren't shopping there anyway.

It is like the zombie apocalypse- customers are wandering the aisles of unfamiliar grocery stores with lists in their hands and vacant expressions on their faces as they try to find the items they want. And pay up to 50% more than they are accustomed to.

Hahaha, Awesome description! This is how I look when I pay at another market :scared1:

OK back on topic, To all at BC/YC, Have a wonderful vacation!

Thanks for the advice, the only hard part aside from deciding which (BC vs YC) is waiting till October lol. I will be there is October, but I also have an annual pass. Think a bb offer is a better opportunity than ap discount? I figured bb because the ap discounts for next April probably won't be out till well after October (assuming anyway), and I'd loose any chance of a bb offer if they don't have times I'd like late April 2015)
But In any case whichever other place I get, I've still got 3 nights at BCV. So Ill be able to check out SAB and be able to walk to Epcot.

7 of us going to YC for the first time in October for an adult birthday trip! :cool1: My grandmother is turning 90 and I am turning 40 :scared1:

We were originally staying at POFQ, but wanted to be closer to Epcot for F&W when my grandmother decided to come (she needs a wheelchair).

After being told over the phone there was nothing left under the late fall discount at YC, I was able to get all of our garden view rooms booked online with the discount so yay!

Looking forward to staying somewhere new and looking through this great thread!

Thanks, everyone!

If you have not already done so, make sure there's a note in your record that you are celebrating birthdays. I would let them know that one of them is a special 90th (not that 40 isn't special, as well :)).

The YC is not far from the boat dock, for an easy wheelchair ride over to EPCOT, if you don't want to walk over. You will really enjoy the YC.

What a wonderful way to celebrate together!

Thanks for the reminder! We had the birthdays noted when we made the reservations for FQ, but don't think it was noted when I made them online. I was just trying to rush through to make sure we all got the discount!

Please don't apologise to the thick Brit :lmao: I e just watched the Brad Pitt zombie film so can relate.

Thought it might be quicker if reservations made the initial FP's.

As far as I know, the only way to add Fast Passes for an upcoming trip is to add them online through MDE. I think someone posted that IPO, the concierge planning office, will not make FP+ reservations. I think that is true both before a trip and once you are there- I don't think they will make changes for you either, but someone correct me if I am wrong.

:)
