There are no sharks at WDW, so let's go!!!

Hi Grace!! I have enjoyed hearing from Lynn too!

So, here are my questions folks. For those of you who have eaten at MK before opening, do I want to do it on a early morning EMH or not and EMH morning? It seems that I would want to do it on a non morning EMH :confused3
And, has anyone eaten at Tony's in the MK? The menu looks like it has many options that our WHOLE family will like. How about CP breakfast? Anyone have any strong opinions about it?
I briefly looked at June's hours and am going to have to sit down and write everything. I can't call for ADR's yet, but I need to see when I can do that.
Hi We eat at Tony's in Sept 2006, we all like it, and I don't care for Italian food, The resturant is very pretty, and we had good sevice, and there are lots of choice. we had not book a Adr here and need someplace to eat . I glad we tried it

I'm glad that you liked it. That eases my mind.

So, here are the places that I want to eat. I hope to get an ADR at CP, before park opening, on 6/17. If not that day, then I'm looking at 6/20, 22, or 24th.
Then, I want to eat at Tony's Town Square on 6/19, 21 or 23.
I want to eat at the ESPN Club too, but that doesn't require reservations.
The other places that I want to eat at are Earl of Sandwich (kinda a tradition), Pizzafari (never eaten there), Beaches n' Cream (for the kitchen sink), Sunshine Seasons (never eaten there), Electric Umbrella, and Casey's. We usually pack our lunches and since we're driving, we'll be able to pack more things. And, since we're not going commando this year, I'm planning on going back to the resort for lunch and some sunning by the pool.
So, I think that I can try and make ADR's next Sunday. I might call this week and TRY and make them. ;)

It was nice to be able to read about Lynn trip while she is there, makes you feel closer to to magic.
Grace

Awww glad I could make you feel a bit closer to the magic! :goodvibes

YES!!! Make your ADR for a NON-EMHs morning for the MK (or any other park!!). Ask for the first reservation/seating for the morning. That should help you to get in and out as quickly as possible. Also, if you're on the dining plan or anything, ask to pay right away so as soon as you're done eating you can leave instead of waiting on the server if you're worried you won't be done in time.

We ate at Tony's in Sept with Dan's mom. It was good - even the boys ate their actually! I don't know that I'd go out of my way to go there again, but if we needed someplace to eat, we'd go there - does that make any sense??

Thanks guys!! I'm just concerned because the last breakfast we ate was the Princess breakfast at Akersaus (sp) and we all felt like throwing up afterward. It was just too hot when we were done. Of course our breakfast time was at 10, so by the time we got done it was around 11 and very hot outside. It was a very heavy kind of breakfast. I'm hoping with the buffet it won't be so bad. I having DH look at menus right now!! We are down to 107 days. I'll be in double digits soon!

For us, earlier is way better - my boys are up at the crack of dawn (before usually!!) so I try and make ADRs to give them something to do before the parks open.;)

Yay for 107 days!!!

We ate at CP on this last trip - LOVED it!! I would go back again just for the food!!!

I already mentioned Tony's earlier - it's good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again.

When we went to the Boardwalk in Dec there was a HUGE line for the ESPN place (I'm thinking of the right place right???) so you will want to probably either eat at an "off" time or be prepared to wait (maybe plan on going when there isn't a "big game" on - unless that's what you're going for of couse!).

Good luck with the ADRs! We had quite good luck actually just walking into guest services and getting reservations this weekend which was nice.

Hi
I think I remember that you might go to Unverisal Studios, now that you are driving, is that right? If so I got a E-mail yesterday from mousesavers that had discount prices for tickets, and I thought of you. Do you get E-mail from them? You can also see this info on there site.
We are think about driving again!!!!
Have a good evening

We had a late lunch at Tony's and then sat out on the porch to watch the afternoon parade. It was nice to have seats, and the CMs were on vigilant patrol to see that only patrons of the restaurant were up there. We all liked the food just fine.

The rotisserie chicken at Sunshine Seasons is sooo good! Dawn said the pork chops were good, too. I might try them next time, but they'll have to be some kind of good to beat the chicken!

Pizzafari is cool just because of the different rooms. Be sure to check them all out!

Thanks guys for all of your advice and help in the eating department.

Grace- Yes, we have talked about Universal/IOA. Not sure if we'll get there, but we've talked about it. You'll save a ton of money if you drive.

Lynn- You're right about the ESPN club. I'll have to remember to eat at maybe, like 3 or 4.

Jill- I'll have to check out the different rooms at Pizzafari!

Any updates on your trip? And how is the weather where you are now?

Hi Ariel! No new updates until this Sunday when I can make my ADRs. Once I get those made, I can sit down and look at the hours and plan some park days.
The weather is COLD!!! No snow, but it was 22 for the high yesterday. The only good thing is, the sun is out. At least it's not drab and dreary. How's things in your neck of the woods? Did Nick start his new job yet? How's school?

Ooo good luck with the ADR's, I'm sure you will be fine :thumbsup2. The weather is a bit hit and miss here. Last week I went to the beach with Mum to walk Honey and it was so warm, there were lots of people in sundresses and t.shirts which is really strange for February. And then yesterday it was absolutely freezing, today we wake up with bright sunshine and within a few hours we had light snow and then heavy rain, it just can't make up its mind :sad2:

I would love to be able to walk along the beach in February! It's supposed to be 65 here tomorrow, so I'm very excited for tomorrow to come! I even cracked my windows open in the house today.

Windows open here Lisa! It's in the 70s today and will be in the 80s starting tomorrow and into next week! Come on down and enjoy the warmness!!

Gosh I don't know what has taken me so long to find my way over here. I read the first page and am subbing to come back and read more. Looking forward to hearing about your "sharkless" vacation!

Hi Grace!!!! I just a little annoyed at the ADR thing, not too much though. ;) I'm most worried about gettin my breakfast at CP before park opening. That is the one that I most want to do. Thankfully I won't be working on the morning that I have to call.
So, breakfast at CP and a late lunch at Tony's. I want to try the ESPN Club too, but they don't take ressies.
What restaurants are you looking?
