Theory about TBA CP narrators

I know someone here was asking why they didn't have a complete line up of narrators for Cp yet and I have a theory. Haley Joel Osment has narrated 1 or 2 years now and he was recently in a DUI accident here in Cali. A few days ago they filed charges against him. Maybe that had something to do with it, what do you think?

LOL. He'd be a horrible example to have as a CP narrator. Then again, so would Lou Diamond Phillips, considering his recent run-in with the law (domestic abuse), but he is still listed. The real reason there is no narrator during that time frame is anyone's guess at this point.

I don't know if Disney would be so concerned about the role model issue. He was hospitalized and it was the same week that the narrators list was published. Now he's looking at jail time or probation & I thought maybe that had something to do with it.
Or maybe they are trying to book Michael Jackson and his "people" are not returning Disney's calls...

I think one has nothing to do with the other.

Based on the quality of his performance last year, I can't imagine that Mr. Osment would be asked to repeat his stint as CP narrator, his current personal problems notwithstanding. He is wonderful in his chosen field, but narrating the CP requires different skills and his just aren't up to par. Same goes for Jaci Velasquez. Neither performed well in the role and IMO Disney would be foolish to invite them back given the number of complaints they received about their performances.

Disney will announce narrators for the open dates as soon as contracts are finalized with the performers.

Last year was our first time witnessing the CP, and wouldn't ya know it, we had Jaci Velasquez. Since I have nothing to compare her to, can you enlighten me as to where she was 'lacking'? I will admit that her delivery seemed a little dry, but we were enthralled mainly by the great songs from the choir and orchestra.

that is the week we will be there and I would love to know who is doing the CP those days. I am hoping for Orlando Bloom I know, just a little wishful dreaming, but that would be the highlight of my trip if he did.

I thought Haley Joel Osment was great last year. I know a lot of people on here were annoyed at Phil Donnahue being chosen. Something to do with politics. I guess they do have to watch themselves on who they choose.

Keep in mind that the first show is over 3 months from now. They may be having problems getting someone to commit that far ahead. Don't be surprised if there are changes to the list, there almost always are. They have busy lives and other things come up.
