Themes for wishes wedding

I am getting married in December of 2012 and I am searching for a theme to use for my wishes wedding. I love the nightmare before Christmas and was curious if anyone has done that theme and what it looks like. Some other themes I was thinking were a villains inspired theme, Esmeralda gypsy, Hercules Greek god theme or Winnie the pooh. I want it to be classy but of course with a Disney vibe. I am also a huge star wars fan and I'd have a star wars themed wedding if I wasn't doing it at Disney. Do you think Disney can do a star wars theme? I am just looking for help with ideas for these early planning stages.

I was engaged once 5 years ago and planned a wedding but this time around I'm getting to do something far better

I'm still trying to decide on the ceremony venue but we have decided on the backstage prop room for the reception.

Aristocrats

Maybe some help from current, past or future Disney brides or grooms?

Well congratulations first of all. Secondly I know for a fact there have been Star Wars Disney weddings. There have been a few pics circulating around the forums. http://www.disneyweddingblog.com/2011/03/star-wars-wedding-spotlight-youpa-brian.html Also being that Hollywood Studios has Star Tours and Star Wars weekends I'm sure it would be easy to fit in with Disney theme.

I think you can have classy and Disney at the same time. Our theme is hidden mickey's. So we have things looking classy and nice with lil hidden mickey's incorporated. Even in our invitation. We also are having them place a hidden mickey somewhere on our cake, which other than that has no Disney characters, not even the cake topper. Good luck with your theming. I'm sure you'll get alot of feedback on here from other brides that have had a variety of different themes.

As the PP said there are LOADS of people who have done a Star Wars theme wedding and they always look like so much fun!

The Nightmare Before Christmas would also be a lot of fun, I've seen several Corpse Bride cakes around and they always look amazing!

Personally I've not come across anyone with an Aristocats or Hercules themed wedding, though I think both would be wonderful yet quite easy to incorporate in a classy understated way.

For the Aristocats you could have a lot of french, feminine themes, your tables could be places of objects featured in the film, you could have a jazz band/jazz music at your reception etc. All the kittens have different coloured ribbons, that you could use as your theme colours.

For Hercules you could have a Grecian style dress, ancient greek style pots and vases for center pieces, lots of gold and white.

I think you could make star wars work. Star wars is huge right now @ hollywood studios, they have parades and character photo ops all over the place. The new star tours ride just opened not too long ago so it is star wars paradise over there. My H was in heaven last time we were there.

so everyone has been so helpful and today I had a grand idea. I love disney vinylmation and am building a collection. So with that I decided a vinylmation themed wedding mixed with some star wars would be the perfect mix. I have great ideas for colors and for some decorative ideas.

colors in my head are from the disney vinylmation boxes: black, ice blue and a silver or grey I would want to mix in some purple but more of a berry purple. so with that thought it comes down to black, ice blue and berry with some hints of silver here and there. I think this is going to look phenomenal with a december wedding.

any thoughts?

The Star Wars theme would be my fiance's dream!! LoL...I came across the link you posted about a month ago and he had stars in his eyes...my parents won't go for something THAT Star Wars themed though...I found some Star Wars themed boutonnieres we may incorporate though...I'll post a picture once my post count is enough to do so.

Man your theme ideas are awesome. I love Nightmare before christmas and the disney villains. Right now me and my fiance are planning a nature/wildlife wedding however I would like to have a pre bridal celebration/party and mmake that a villains theme. I'm going to ask the weddig planner and coordinators at disney is it possible to have the party on there property and if we are able to have some villains come to interact with our guest. I hope they will allow it and I'm not afraid to pay a pretty penny for it becaus I want this to be a huge celebration But all in all Ive never heard anyone having the themes that you've listen and I wish they did but hey if you have any of theme then your wedding will be unique and out the box. If we took a vote I'd tell you to do villians but thats just because I love them so much lol but ur ideas have helped me alot and i might have to convince my man if we can change our theme
