Themed Birthday Celebrations Now Offered at Resort Hotels
The Walt Disney World Resort now offers children's birthday
experiences in a variety of children's centers in resort
locations across property. The following events are great suggestions for clients looking to celebrate a child's special day, and can be booked by calling the Walt Disney World Recreation department at 407-939-7529.

* Harbor Club at Disney's Boardwalk Resort:
Offers a two-hour birthday celebration with themes that
include Circus/Carnival, Mickey/Minnie Mouse, Sports, or
Disney Princesses. The event includes a choice of several
lunch options, juice boxes or sodas, a birthday cake, a
craft or activity, all video games on free play and a
selection of Disney videos available for viewing during
the celebration.
** Offered: Daily from 11a.m. to 1p.m.
** Price: $200 (plus tax) for first 12 children and $20
(plus tax) for each additional child

* Sandcastle Club at Disney's Beach Club Resort:
Offers a two-hour birthday celebration with themes
that include Beach, Mickey/Minnie Mouse, Sports, or
Disney Princesses. The event includes a choice of
several lunch options, juice boxes or sodas, a birthday
cake, a craft or activity, all video games on free play
and a selection of Disney videos available for viewing
during the celebration.
** Offered: Daily from 11a.m. to 1p.m.
** Price: $200 (plus tax) for first 12 children and $20
(plus tax) for each additional child

* Simba's Cubhouse at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge:
Offers a three-hour birthday celebration with themes
that include The Lion King, Sports, or Disney Princesses.
The event includes a choice of several lunch options, juice
boxes or sodas, ice cream bars or cupcakes, a craft or
activity, a selection of Disney videos are available for
viewing during the celebration, all video games on free
play, and an African storyteller experience and a walking
tour of the animal habitats surrounding the resort.
** Offered: Daily from 11a.m. to 2p.m.
** Price: $300 (plus tax) for first 12 children and $20
(plus tax) for each additional child.

I might be a nut....BUT...these prices don't seem too bad--

Considering to have my daughter's birthday party at my local zoo (which in no way compares to zoos such as San Diego zoo)--would cost in the $200-$300...so I would definitely do it at WDW IF I had that much money to burn.

I totally agree that those are AWESOME prices! Wow!
We had DD's party at our local ice arena and I paid much more than that by the time it was all said and done!

Sounds interesting, but we don't usually take 12 children down to WDW with us, and I can't see paying for a party for a bunch of strange kids just to celebrate my child's b'day.

That is a good point sugarbear.

I live less than an hour and a half away--it would be a commute for me--if I had the funds, I might consider it--but then there would be the other children and their parents who would have to trek over as well. My daughter isn't old enough for me to be carpooling the kids to her party.

GReat news for locals! People pay plenty at local places in NJ to have aprties (zoos, skating rinks, Gymboree, pottery places, you name it...) If I lived within 30 minutes of WDW, I'd book a party at one of the resort clubs for that price!

I'm actually surprised that WDW hasn't started doing something like Disneyland's birthday buckets. For those that don't know, the birthday buckets are $20. The buckets are more like modified popcorn buckets. They have a Sorcerer Mickey, Princess, Buzz and Pooh buckets. Each comes with a 4" diameter cake, a pin, some other sort of toy, and some stickers. The nice thing is even though they are intended for kids, they are appropriate for any "kids at heart" who want to celebrate their birthday at the park too.
